About

Local H, the iconic alt-rock duo known for their blistering live shows and unorthodox two-piece setup, are at the top of their game three decades after they first burst onto the music scene. Now, frontman Scott Lucas, who covers both guitar and bass (through an extra pick up in his guitar), and drummer Ryan Harding are gearing up to release their 9th studio album, LIFERS. Local H's first major release was 1995's Ham Fisted, but it was their 1996 follow up album As Good As Dead that positioned the band as one of the elites of 90s rock. The radio hit "Bound For The Floor" emerged as a generational anthem and remains a staple on playlists around the country today. Their widely praised 1998 concept album Pack Up the Cats solidified Local H as a leader in the genre, and the albums that followed reflected not only the band's definitive character, but also their relentless effort to give their audience as much of themselves as possible. The past five years have been some of the busiest of their career. They released their 8th studio album Hey, Killer, numerous EPs and live records, and a series of "Mix Tapes" featuring a surprising mix of cover songs. They've toured almost constantly, with hugely successful tours with the likes of Toadies and Helmet, including performances on Metallica's sold out stadium tour. 2020 will see the band on tour with fellow 90s alt-rock vets Social Asylum in the Spring, and their new album LIFERS will be out April 10 via AntiFragile Music.

I just watched scott lucas open for local h.....hardest working musician ever. Not only does he setup the stage and run the merch table but he also opens for himself.

by MegaRed on 6/13/12Masquerade - Atlanta

This show was amazing! Not only was the venue a perfect size for this band, but the energy was surging. Local H really brought it out with them that night. I can't wait to see them again!

I went to this show with my girlfriend and a friend, I think we were all expecting a really great performance and we got exactly that. Local H would definitely make the list of the most underrated bands of all time. PLEASE COME BACK SOON!!

Local H ROCKED AS HARD AS ALWAYS!

by ZeMonsta on 6/11/12Masquerade - Atlanta

There is NO louder, hard-rocking power duo in music...Scott & Brian played for two hours with NO breaks and kicked the collective asses of everybody in the Hell section of the Masquerade. They played about half the songs on their upcoming album (all of which were incredible!) and a lot of old favorites, plus an explosive Rush cover. Always worth the drive, the money and the time. About 15 bucks for one of the most bad-ass rock shows you'll ever see.

Local H was simply awesome on this tour

by OffspringFan on 6/11/12Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

I saw Local H at their sold-out show in Columbus, and I was blown AWAY. The opening band in Columbus, however, was shaky and didn't get halfway decent for many songs. In Cincinnati, the Taft Theater is an amazing and large space. Highly recommended for any basement rock shows. Local H was great again in Cincy! The opening band was a better band than the one in Columbus, but it was definitely different stuff.

Local H Just OK In Columbus, OH Performance

by RocknRollOldMan on 4/22/12The Basement - Columbus

I felt that Local H did not play up to their normal standards. I have seen this band play in many other cities over the past years and felt that their performance here in Columbus this time was just mediocre at best. It almost felt like they didn't really want to be here and they were just playing because they had a committment to keep. If it wasn't for the opening act I would not have rated this event 3 stars. Thank goodness there was a strong opening act/band.

    Local H Plays Inspired efoShow

by OffspringFan on 4/22/12The Basement - Columbus

The Local H show at The Basement was amazing. Brian rocked out on drums, and Scott put on one of the best shows I've seen from him. Together, they were tight Local H is always a great show, and the sold out venue was only proof of this fact.

LOCAL H at the Brighton Music Hall, Boston 4/17/12

by scooch75 on 4/20/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Tuesday night I went back in time to 1996 and saw LOCAL H perform in small bar/ music hall in Boston. Local H, was one of those bands I fell in love with in the 90's and instantly became a super fan. I have seen Local H live several times and this two man power house of a band fronted by, Scott Lucas (lead vocals/guitar) and Brian St. Clair (drums) never ever disappoints!!!! I was so excited to be front and center at the show with my hips to the stage. Not to many chicks would get right up there in 3 inch wedges but i did and I would not have had it any other way. I can still rock with the best of them. It was a killer performance!!! I love that Local H still performs and keeps it real by preforming in smaller venues. Local H continues put on one hell of a show and I look forward to their next album and seeing them again and again live!!!! xo

Scott was great. Haven't seen Local H since 1997(?)... awesome then and I didn't think it'd live up to my memory, but it was better this time. BMH was a cool spot and Township was really really good too. A+ show, thanks!

    Cozy

by tycoonking1 on 4/19/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

First time at the Brighton Music Hall, very cozy compared to say, the House of Blues. Limited seats, and they're just barstools, but honestly, you can get right up to the stage and rock out. Definitely a great experience.

I am going to see Local H again ASAP!

    by TJH1989 on 4/18/12Frankies - Toledo

The show was great, and Scott Lucas and Brian St. Clair are so down to earth that it really makes their followers appreciate everything they do. For just a two-man-band they not only have superb power and charisma in their music, but also a fantastic repertoire of licks, riffs, and lyrics. It amazes me that Local H doesn't get more recognition, their music is well worthy of it. But above all it is clear that Scott and Brian do this because they love it. If you are a grunge fan you have to appreciate what they can bring.

A great night it was like seeing the band in their early years with the small club. Scott was even selling the Merch.

    Local H always brings it!

by ZeMonsta on 4/30/11Masquerade - Atlanta

Great set! Great intensity! Even a great opening act (The Weeks)! Scott & Bryan blow it up every time I've seen them, and this show was no exception. There's no mailing in it for the power duo - the H has been cranking it with real emotion and mo' real rock for 20 years, and they have not slowed down. One of my favorite bands and one of the best live acts you'll EVER see.
