What a gentleman and entertainer. I have seen Liv maybe a dozen times and been a fan from LP #1. You could not possibly have a bad time at a Liv show!

  • As Good As His Brother--and Different

by Herman on 7/4/09Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I loved Livingston Taylor, whom we had never heard before. He's a great guitarist, he has a great voice, and his songs (which vary a lot in mood and tempo) aare genuinely memorable. Best of all, this guy loves to perform and puts a lot of energy into performance. My wife and I have been to a couple of James Taylor concerts and think that Livingston's was better in some ways--more energetic, smarter lyrics, more variety. He sounds a bit like James--but we never felt that he was trying to copy James. He's really quite different. Had James not become so famous, Livingston would probably have had a more successful career. It's a musical tragedy, but Livingston doesn't seem bitter about it. He loves performing music too much for that! We intend to buy all of Livingston's CD's--and attend any more of his concerts that we can get to.

  • Always a performance to remember

Livingston always such a relaxed yet professional performer. He's a witty and a very talented musician with a unique sense of timing and at one with his audience. He once again took the time to come up and personally sign CD's. Would love to see him perform someday with brother James!
