  • Living Colour rocked it!

by StLunatic on 9/29/14Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing! I didnt know what to expect as I only listened to their first CD way back in 1990, but they had a great mix of songs from all of their five or so albums. Great performers, very personable with the crowd, and just overall fantastic! One guy told me he saw them the year before and they "will melt your face off" which I take it he meant in a good way, but after seeing the show it was true! They were amazing!

  • Best show of my life...amazing musicians

Living colour is one of the most talented bands on the planet....they are progressive and still rock your ass off. The band even came out in the crowd after the show , mingled and signed autographs. Super nice guys. Amazing!!

  • LIVING COLOUR

by Jeffro1969CBR on 11/7/13Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Been following LC since they came out.Their individual mastery of their instruments was overwhelming. When you bring it all together they just play off of each other. The musicianship these guys have was magical to watch.I had fun watching them have fun on stage.Corey and Vernon worked the crowd. After the show they greeted fans that stuck around.Very down to earth musicians.I've been playing drums since I was a kid and have been playing live since 1984,Wil Calhouns drumming is an inspiration to me,your never to old to learn something by watching a great musician. So the answer to the question "What's our favorite color baby"?.....LIVING COLOUR!!!!

  • Living Colour is Alive and Well!

by Bullittman on 11/5/13Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Having to start the show with your Most beloved song should be done more often. Kinda gets you started on the right foot. What an amazing, intimate experience. Seeing this legendary racial barrier slashing band has caused me to cross another adventure off my bucket list. At a critical time in rock fokelore, they saved the day for all of rock and roll....in my humble opinion of course. "Rock On" Living Colour and thank you for stopping in good 'ol St. Lou. Chuck Berry missed a hellava show.

Awesome set. Great sound. One of my favorite concerts ever. Small venue had a lot to do with it. Duck room was awesome.

Incredible musicians, great show. You're going to see 4 of some of the most accomplished and respected musicians ever. Incredible show, especially for the price.

  • One of the Best Live Bands Left

    by NPG2013 on 7/23/13Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great. Cory Glover sounded amazing! They played mostly material from the "Vivid" LP. The band played hard the entire show- Vernon Reid was great on guitar. They had high energy and the crowd was electric. Just a great band and great concert.

  • Living Colour still rocks!

by RabidKevinJamesFan on 7/23/13Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Will Calhoun is not only a great drummer but also a great person. To spend time with fans before the show was beyond the call of duty. Cory Glover's voice is still amazing. Vernon Reid and Doug Wimbish were beast!!!! I really enjoyed my evening out with my buddy Mike. Bring them back!!!!!!! :-)

  • Mind-meltingly Awesome Show by Living Colour

by Leadguitar on 7/22/13Variety Playhouse - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was just a show beyond belief. The band has lost NONE of its potency. Corey Glover's voice was as powerful and versatile as ever, and the other guys sounded as tight as their records. What I also liked but did not expect is how playful they were on stage, goofing around with each other, having fun on the stage, making it more about an interactive show than most bands do. Many bands out there touring now could learn a thing or two about stage presence from these guys. Will Calhoun's drum solo was amazing!!! If I could give a show 6 stars, I would give them to Living Colour. Do yourself a favor and see them ON THIS TOUR while they're doing the entire Vivid album!!!

  • LIVING COLOUR WAS AMAZING!

by DRJSB on 5/1/13KESWICK THEATRE - GLENSIDERating: 5 out of 5

LIVING COLOUR PLAYING THEIR 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR HIT ALBUM "VIVID" WAS INCREDIBLE! COREY GLOVER & VERNON REID, SOUNDED JUST LIKE THEY DID WHEN I SAW THEM BACK IN 1988! THEY WERE VERY TIGHT & AND GAVE IT EVERYTHING THEY HAD! VERNON REID'S GUITAR RIFF'S WERE AMAZING! THE KESWICK THEATRE WAS A GREAT SMALLER VENUE TO BE RIGHT UP BY THE BAND! COREY GLOVER CAME OUT IN THE AUDIENCE SINGING MULTIPLE TIMES. IT WAS SO GREAT TO SEE THE BOYS KNOCK THE ROOF OF THE THEATRE! TRULY UNFORGETABLE SHOW! WELL DONE BOYS!

  • I am a die hard believer in Corey Glover-ism

by VivaDiva on 4/28/13El Rey Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Living Colour is such an amazing band and I have always felt like they never received the credit they deserve. The turnout for this show and the very receptive crowd helped in this amazing and historic performance. It was nice to see them in a smaller venue where you could actually see them. The music was amazing, Corey was amazing and I just adore this band. Living Colour played as long as the venue would allow (but I wish it were longer) and played some encores all of which were amazing . I really like when they did Bi. Corey Glover broke out with Amazing Grace and it really was just amazing. No one can sing like this man, no one. I love Living Colour, I love Corey Glover and this was one of the best concerts I have ever been to and I hope they add on some more dates and tour some more. I can't get enough!

  • Living Colour delivered a superb show!

by NotObeying on 4/26/13El Rey Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

What a fantastic show. Despite their historically professional performances and their respected nature as musicians, I was unsure as to what level of tightness I would witness from Living Colour. They were nothing short of impressive. Breaking VIVID up with misc tracks including blues and funk standards, Living Colour were dynamic, energetic and "on". I thoroughly enjoyed the entire show and would recommend someone catch this tour. (I can't believe it's been 25 years since VIVID's release.)

  • Da Fella's "R" Rockin

by SpankysCrewRockBandWii on 4/21/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Totally awesome, these guys are great, real down to earth musicians who will ROCK your world. They have a great time entertaining the crowd too. Saw them in the past and will keep my eyes open for future dates! Hey Fella's how about The Chance PK 2010! Thanks Guys

  • living colour better than ever!!!!!!

    by lazyginz0 on 4/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

this was an unbelieveable concert ,,,not only was living colour great but both opening bands were worthy of the stage...corey glover was singing his ass off!!!!vernon was amazing as usual and bass and drums were crazy...they all showed their talents throughout the night and played from 9:45 to 11:30!!...ticket price was more than fair

  • Great Show!

by BarnumAndBailey on 4/20/13The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Bought a cheap ticket to this weeknight show (Thursday night). I figured it wouldn't be packed and it wasn't. Plenty of room and I was standing GA. It couldn't have sold more then 500 seats (from what I could tell), therefore, the stage was easily accessible. I probably could have moved right to the front of the stage if I wanted to. As far as the show, it was AMAZING. Even though there wasn't a lot of people, the band did not hold back! To see Vernon Reid (guitar virtuoso) blaze through guitar solo after guitar solo on my favorite tracks was well worth the price of admission! Corey Glover sounded just like he did on the album. The band performed Vivid for their 25th anniversary tour and they did not disappoint. To hear the album cover to cover brought me back to my childhood. Would I have spent $40/$50 bucks to see this show? Probably not, but I probably would have seen them for well over what I paid. If I had the opportunity to see them again at that price, without a doubt, I'd be there and I'd recommend you see them too!! Highlights obviously include Cult of Personality, a sweet cover of Amazing Grace -> Open Letter (to a Landlord), Glamour Boys, and of course, Vernon Reid and Corey Glover!! There wasn't an encore, but that's OK, because they'd played everything they needed to!
