Best Ever Preformance! She is a wonder, how does she continues to charm, entertain and keep you laughing til your sides ache. What a wonderful night.
Lily is in tune, on top of what is going on that's relevant, fun, and brings in her favorite characters at will - don't miss the chance to see her!
Lily Tomlin was awesome! Her material was both current and retro. I laughed, and laughed, and laughed, and that's the truth.
This event was old fashion laugh-aloud. It was clean: without the crude and the rude. Lily Tomlin is one of the great comediennes in America. Everyone, shut off your TV and get to this show
Lily's so awesome...can we have her everyday? Where's the CD of the evening? I really do want to die laughing! (but I need to practice first)
Who else but Lily Tomlin can perform on a bare stage and hold an audience transfixed for well over two hours?!! Nothing can slow this lady down. Her show was hillarious, thoughtful and inspiring! Catch this amazing artist, in-person while you can!
I was completely thrilled when I got my front row center seats to see this amazing performer; I was close enough to see her blue eyes when she glanced down. Her show is simply amazing. She has a natural talent to draw the audience into each one of her skits. Not a lot of props, she doesn’t need them! I really liked that she shared bits and pieces of her life and the Q & A session at the end of her show. WTG, Ms Tomlin! Thank you for not disappointing us in Napa, CA.
Lily was at the top of her game, as usual! The venue was supurb - not a bad seat in the house.
I'm a big fan of Lily Tomlin, but this presentation was uneven; ran hot and cold. Tickets overpriced. $35 - $45 more like it.
She was excellent. Intelligent, funny, sensitive. She opened her brian to us.
From the moment she hit the stage she was hilarious, bright, contemporary and fun to be in the same room with her. She switched characters in a instant and the question and answers were sweet and insightful. Thank you, Ms Tomlin for such a great evening in the Napa Valley.
She was wonderful! Impressive energy and responsiveness to the audience. As sharp and down to earth as I remember. Loved her politics! She had me laughing and on my feet at the end for a standing ovation which she richly deserved for both her performance and all she's contributed to American society to give us comic relief - and pause - from the seriousness of decades of important world events that have transpired during her career.
I love and support Lily and her long devotion to both her work and ideals. It this had been a less expensive ticket I would have been happier. It seemed she was tired, not at the top of her game, reading her crib notes, and just riding the wave of her past successes. she didn't seem too pleased to be "headlining" in sleepy little Napa, and I wondered why she was playing there and not in the city.
She was amazing. She has such talent and is hilarious!
As I gazed over a sea of gray hair and canes, I was again reminded of the passing of time. Was it really nearly twenty years ago that I saw Lily's show about the Search for Intelligence in the Universe in San Francisco? And here she was in my hometown, in my own childhood theater, the Uptown in 2011. She looked great, but flubbed lines and apologized repeatedly and unnecessarily to the audience for being off track. Half of her show was filled with funky clips on a tiny screen of some of her past bits, still hilarious of course. The most painful part of the show was her bit about a screaming adolescent (vocals by Lily) which had everyone plugging their ears. As my husband shot me quizical looks (why are we here), I squirmed in my seat praying for it to be over.
I really enjoyed seeing her for the first time. Her energy and contortions with her body are amazing and she is constantly humorous, entertaining and enjoyable as a person.
The Lily Tomlin show in Napa was disappointing, at best. Several times in the second part of the first act, she lost her place, and had to keep looking at her notes. Her old characters, including Edith Ann, were nice to see, but the material for those bits was stale. Everything else was just not funny. Individual "scenes" didn't hang together or have any real sense of purpose - very choppy. It was actually a little pathetic. We left at intermission.
I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face. My husband and I took my parents and we all enjoyed her show. Would I see her again? Absolutely!!!!!!!! Best show I have seen in quite awhile.
Lily just gets better and better. I saw her about 10 years ago, and liked it well enough to go again, but this show was even better.
It amazes me that Lily still wows audiences with her humor and is able to stay current with what's going on today. It was fun to see her re-enactment of some of her characters, bringing them to life.
