I brought my best friend because seeing Lily was so special and I knew she would love the show as much as I did. I love anything Lily Tomlin does!

I wish I was that amazing!

by Zebraqueen2 on 10/17/18Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Amazing! Wonderful! Sharing 2 hours of laughter and memories with Lilly Tomlin was one of the best shows I have ever been to! I only hope I can be that amazing and that active when I am 79 years old. She is a wonderful woman and a wonderful comedian! I have always loved her performances in movies, on TV and on stage. She never has disappointed me. For her to share her love of life and laughter with all of us was a privilege to behold and to be part of. Thank you Lilly for bringing me a wonderful evening of laughter and fun after a hard day at work. And what a serendipity moment...the lady sitting next to me and I shared the same birthday! Obviously I was meant to be at your show. Love you Lilly...Live long and Prosper!

    Lily

Fabulous show. Lily gave us her all. She started 10 minutes late but stayed to answer audience questions.

She's awesome! Wonderful show. Her impromptu stuff was some of the funniest. So glad I had the opportunity to see her.

    Terrible, waste of money

by Chevyman123456678 on 10/16/18Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Half of her show was of old film clips on a big screen. Didnt pay to go watch TV. She did alot of old material which just lost it humor over the years. There was boxes out front to ask her questions but the only ones she brought up were about her old movies. I really like her but it may be time to retire Lily! Terrible show. Very disappointing.

Lily Tomlin is a National Treasure

by AmetuerSleuth on 10/16/18Balboa Theatre - San Diego

What's there to say? Lily Tomlin is one of the most hilarious and talented women the world has ever seen. I feel SO incredibly honored to have been able to see her perform live. One of the best nights of my life.

    Lily does Balboa Theatre

by ParteeGrl on 10/16/18Balboa Theatre - San Diego

I have never seen Lily in person before, but many times on TV back in the day. I really liked her honest presence, her quick wit (in response to a couple audience members) and her willingness to admit that she forgot where she was in the story. Her show included videos on the large screen behind her and also some sound effects. While she did toss in a few one-liners to bring her stories to the present day, I did expect more political humor. All in all, I did enjoy the show. The venue is simply amazing, beautiful and good acoustics.

Lily Tomlin was great but had no head

by AuntieBunny on 10/15/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

The three of us enjoyed Lily’s act tremendously. She was funny, witty, contemplative, outspoken and a mile a minute. The only thing from preventing a 5star rating was the “no head” problem. You see whenever they showed us a funny clip or setup for Lily’s next bit a screen was lowered. Unfortunately for all of us in the balcony we never saw above her shoulders no matter how we scrunched in our seats. That was a disappointment that was not corrected for the entire 2 hours of her great show. The venue let us down.

    Bizarre window to the past

by MyOpinionOnThis on 10/15/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

I purchased tickets with eager anticipation of Lily's witty take on the world and current events and was shocked when her act was exclusively a large amount of commercials from the 1960's/70's and her on-stage reenactment of her own bits from the 1960's/70's. Incidentally, the screen on which images were projected was set too high for those of us in the balcony, so we only saw the bottom 2/3 of the screen, which was a disorienting oversight by her set up crew (I spoke to the venue about this issue). My friend and I had heard enough during a bit when she was acting as a 5-year-old character, and left. Honestly, not only was it not funny, it was tone deaf and tragic. Perhaps Ms. Tomlin is afraid to step into material taken from today's culture, and would rather re-cycle a tired shtick; the layers of dust were just too thick for me.

    She's Alive and Kickin'-ass!

by warrior21 on 10/15/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

Lily Tomlin was inspriational. Her 1 woman show was fantastic! She's funny, honest and introspective. I don't know what her secret is to maintaining her body, but whatever she does, it has kept her limber and energetic. I hope I can be that lively at age 78. I would love to see her again and I strongly recommend her show if you want to be entertained by one of the greatest female comedians of our time.

    Cloud Pleaser

by memego on 10/15/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

Lili Tomlin plays to standing ovations and almost constant laughter. Between the video clips and her live performance the audience got all that they could ask for. After her scheduled 90 minute show she stuck around for another 30 minutes delighting the audience with her sharp and humorous answers to written questions and story telling.

    Enjoyable show

by Setagreen on 10/15/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

We thoroughly enjoyed Ms Tomlin's show. Her mix of video snippets of her characters over the years woven into the show was a lot of fun,. The only thing lacking was a disappointment that the general populace of the audience was not asked to fill out the Question & Answer cards!

    Tomlin Tops

    by Anonymous on 10/15/18Thousand Oaks

A nice mix of topical humor and a wonderful walk down memory lane for those who grew up with her from Laugh-In, 9-to-5 to Grace & Frankie. Amazing energy from a 79-year old.

    Lily Tomlin is great!

by Dachsygirl on 8/6/18Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

This is the third time I have seen Lily Tomlin. She did a wonderful show. She has so much energy, and she is such a wonderful comedian. The venue, the Taft Theatre , was so hot, that I was afraid that I would pass out. If the show weren't so great, I would have walked out. Also, the seats were very uncomfortable, The first two times I saw Lily were at the Aronoff. What a different experience!

Lily is a wonderful soul, genuine & still funny!

by AKaBooM on 8/5/18Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

This is the 4th time we've seen Lily Tomlin live in Cincinnati and she never fails to give a thoughtful and funny show. Loved the video look-backs at her commercials and scenes that segued into her live character performances. Her Q&A was genuine and made the audience feel even more connected to her. She's a very young and vital performer at 78! Dear Taft, please don't let your audience start out in a hot stuffy auditorium. Please enhance the VIP expperience, including something beforehand communicating exactly what we would be getting. The email sent 2 days prior was not sufficient. I would have liked to know beforehand that there would be NO autographs, NO selfies, and that x portion of our ticket sales would go to the local Parkinson's foundation (a good thing). The Taft staffer "herding" VIP people in the auditorium was unnecessarily curt, rude and inappropriate in his manner dealing with adults. These are people who paid a chunk extra for a very vague VIP experience. I didn't know if that meant a reception (have seen that done at the Aronoff) or what. Do better.
