New and refreshing light show. Must see theater. The show will not disappoint.
Enjoyable for the entire family. My mother, who has dementia, really enjoyed the music and lights and was able to follow the very light storyline. Recommended for young to old!
Lightwire theatre was great in their creativity but the story line for a Christmas show needs to be a lot better.
Very creative show! Fun for all ages with humor and great holiday spirit mixed together! Highly recommend.
My children, ages 6 and 10, loved it and so did I! It kept their attention the whole way through. It was awesome to hear my littlle ones giggling the whole time. Definitely recommend.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this show, but I was amazed and entertained. My husband smiled for the whole show. Many folks had children with them, but we are a married retire couple. The Christmas story was cute and the presentation was terrific. Definitely would go to their next show!
Very cute show. It was great at the end where they explained some behind the scenes happenings.
Enjoyed this very special Christmas presentation with my G'daughter. We both loved the music, storyline and characters. Would highly recommend this group to all families!
The show is simply incredible! The attention to detail in the costume and the carefully choreographed performance is outstanding. We will certainly be in the audience when they come back.
The idea, the fable, the choice of music - an absolute must-see!
My son and I loved it! We loved the change of tone in music, the lights, and the personalities of the characters! We can't wait to see Dino-Lights!
After seeing Lightwire Theater on America's Got Talent, I believed their live Christmas show was a pretty safe bet. Unfortunately, the first half of the show (which lasted only 40 minutes) was so redundant that I left at intermission - something I have never done before. Essentially the only lights were those that served as rudimentary costumes for a few toy soldiers and a couple of rats, presumably from The Nutcracker, who absconded with a snowman and a candy cane decoration and proceeded to run around the stage with them. I reasoned that the performance was unlikely to improve and decided to salvage what was left of my evening.
This was a fun, family friendly event. I hope that they return next year for another show. I will definitely bring the rest of my family and recommend to friends. Very different from any other Christmas show. This group is very talented and creative. I wish they had been here more than one evening. Enjoyed the music and story behind it.
We weren't sure what we in for at the Lightwire performance. OMG! What a delightful performance: funny, dramatic, sad and simply wonderful. The American Theatre was the perfect venue because it is small and intimate. We totally forgot we were watching real people (albeit, unseen because of the blackness) and occasionally puppets. This is a performance truly for the whole family. After the performance, several of the actors met us in the lobby so we could see the wiring they wear. Please, if you have a chance go this this marvelous group.
Show was great. Theatre didn’t have a big enough slope for everyone to see the show properly.
My wife and I took our daughter and five year old grandson to this. He enjoys going to plays and musical events. The performance was outstanding. The use of the lighting and music made it easy to follow the story line even for our grandson. The choreography was very good and one wonders how they move in the dark without running into each other. I think the favorite part for our grandson occurred after the play when he got to meet the actor that played the lost bird. The actor took time for photos and explained the roles he played, showed off the electric costume and explained how they worked the lights to our grandson and other youngsters. We will see them again if they come to Minnesota.
Magical Christmas show, exciting, entertaining and heartfelt.
The concept is great, but the storyline needs work. As an adult I had trouble following the story at one point. It's definitely not for teens unless they are young at heart. My 15 year old was bored. I recommend sitting back away from the stage vs sitting close. You need to be able to see the entire stage to get the full effect. We bought tickets close to the stage, but moved further back after intermission. I really wanted to see this show, but overall I was disappointed.
This was the 2nd time seeing them perform. I had first row center for this performance. The show is great for people of all ages! They really have a one of a kind act. Def run and go see these guys!! You won't be sorry!
