LESS THAN JAKE IN CONCERT:

There are those who say that ska is dead, and then there are those who have been to a Less Than Jake show recently. The ska punk favorites prove the genre is alive and kicking every time they take the stage, flooring fans with high-octane performances of their melodic, brass-heavy tunes. From the charging drums and distorted guitars of "She's Gonna Break Soon" to the horn-filled chorus of "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads", Less Than Jake deliver a skank-worthy concert experience that's sure to satisfy diehard fans and newbies alike.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Less Than Jake formed in Gainesville, FL in 1992 and quickly built a local following with their fast-paced live shows and early seven-inch singles. They released their debut album Pezcore in 1995, then signed with Capitol Records the following year for their sophomore album Losing Streak. The record charted in the UK and was an underground hit in the US, leading to shows with Guttermouth and The Descendents as well as a stint on the 1997 Vans Warped Tour. The band's success continued in 1998 with their third album Hello Rockview, which scored them a Top 40 hit on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart with the song "History of a Boring Town". Since then the band has released five more acclaimed albums including 2003's wildly popular Anthem, which they supported on tour with Fall Out Boy and another stretch on the Vans Warped Tour. In 2013 the band released their eighth album See the Light, a stellar collection of upbeat ska punk tunes that has ticket buyers eagerly awaiting their upcoming tour dates, looking for a repeat of venues sold out to capacity, like House of Blues (San Diego), from the band's previous run.

    Unforgettable experience

    by Adam M. on 8/21/23

Less then jake absolutely killed it in Denver. With a line up with legends The toasters and a sleeper band Devon kay and the Solutions. Each band was great!!. Less then jake played an album from my childhood hello rockreview . They also played the science of selling myself short. My favorite. I was in the pit the whole set. I couldn't stop dancing. Such an amazing show of nostalgia!!!!! Thank you so much ltj!

    by TheGuy on 8/16/23

From beginning to the very end it was so good and people should make time to see them live. Also the bands they chose to play with them were also really good. So from first band all the way to when LTJ was done was very good!

Less Than Jake knows how to put on a phenomenal show. After all these years I’ve probably seen them 20 times and I’m still just as excited to see them whenever I get the chance. Great songs, phenomenal musicians, and fun crowds.

All of the openers were amazing and Less Than Jake put on an epic show. Did not expect a packed house but as always house of blues accommodated splendidly.

    Amazing Show

    by Todd F on 7/25/23

I’ve been following LTJ for decades and they still put on an amazing energy filled show. The band sounds as tight as ever and it was a joy to hear them play the entire Hello Rockview album. If you have t seen Jake, do it and find your way through the pit to the front. You won’t be sorry.

    Less Than Jake Rocked !

    by Rob on 7/25/23

Less Than Jake was amazing and a bucket list event for me because two of my daughters wanted to go with me. The three of us loved the show and will never forget it? We traveled from Pennsylvania to see the show in Orlando.

    Fantastic Show

    by EmC on 7/22/23

This show was everything we’d hoped for! Hello Rockview helped me survive my college-angst years, and the Welcome to Rockview Tour did not disappoint! While we’re a whole lot grayer and older, the show rocked and we left just as sweaty and amped as we did in our 20s. Loved that the venue staff allowed the pit to carry on, just standing by to assist or toss the total a-holes of needed.

    Rocking in Rockview

    by Tom on 7/21/23

Had the time of my life. Great story I was turned on to LTJ decades ago by one of the coolest chicks ever she really introduced me to a new sound and my favorite band. Well at 42 years old shanking in the pit like I was a teen I look over and see this kid. Sure enough the kid is the son of the coolest chick that turned me on to LTJ. Circle of Life MFers

    Great Band, Great Venue

    by Zamir on 7/21/23

This was only my second time seeing LTJ and after more than 5 years, and they did not disappoint, and Irving was the best place to see them on this anniversary tour, because the crowd ran the gamete. From young kids with their parents to guys in their 50s (even someone in their 60s who in close at the pit) and everyone sharing great music and nostalgia together, even if some of us weren't there from the beginning. The Openers were great as Spring-Jack Heel & Voodoo Glow Skulls were a great addicion to the bill. No complaints a 5 star show at a 5 star venue.

    Best Ever

    by Whit on 7/17/23

Took my kids and their friends, 13 & 15 yr olds, and they loved it. We saw LTJ last year in Philly as well. My son said this was the best show he's ever been to, and we've seen quite a few shows.

    Great show

    by Hadzmat on 7/15/23

My 3 daughters, my wife and myself, along with some friends of ours all had a great time at the show. The guys put on one heck of a show even after all these years! It was 2 of my daughter's first concert and they had an absolute blast. At one point they and their friend, (who are ten years old), were making hearts with their hands. About 3/4 of the way through the show, Roger noticed them, made a heart with his hands and then pointed right at them! Obviously they got very excited and couldn't believe he saw them. It's been probably 20 years since the last time I saw less than jake at warped tour in the early 00s, they still look and sound exactly at they did back then. It was a bit nostalgic as I was just a kid the last time I saw them and now I'm there seeing them with kids of my own. Can't wait to see them again as I will go everytime they come to Cleveland. Voodoo glow skulls put on a great show show also!

    Long time fan

    by Bretter on 7/14/23

Less Than Jake put on an incredible show. I saw that about 5 times in the 90s and early 2000s and haven’t seen them since. They are an amazing band and I am so glad I discovered them at the release of Losing Streak in 1996.

    Millennial nostalgic time warp

    by Raven B on 7/12/23

Hello Rockview tour was amazing. Reliving 1998 Ska was exactly what I needed in life. I laughed I cried and I sung my lungs out. It was the most emotional show I had been to in years. Sure a few members I met also said they wish LTJ did more songs from Losing Streak but I understand it's the anniversary of another album.
