Leslie Odom, Jr. is a Tony and Grammy Award-winning, three-time Emmy and two-time Academy Award-nominated songwriter, actor, and a New York Times bestselling author. Well known for his breakout role as 'Aaron Burr' in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway musical Hamilton, Odom recently made a highly anticipated return to his award-winning role on September 9 through November 26. Last season, he made his long-awaited return to Broadway as a producer, alongside his beloved Nicolette Robinson and the gracious Jeffrey Richards, with the classic American comedy Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch written by the legendary Ossie Davis. The revival opened to widespread critical acclaim. Odom was Tony-nominated for his performance, and the production received six nominations and one win. Purlie Victorious was recorded and aired as part of PBS' Great Performances. Odom has continued to captivate audiences across film and television including his star turn as legendary soul singer Sam Cooke in the Amazon film adaptation of One Night in Miami, directed by Regina King. His lauded portrayal of the soul icon and musical performance of original song "Speak Now" earned him multiple awards and nominations. Additional film and television credits include Rian Johnson's record-breaking 2022 Knives Out sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, for Netflix, The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to David Chase's award-winning HBO series The Sopranos, Apple TV+'s Central Park (2020 Emmy nomination), Hamilton on Disney+ (2021 Emmy nomination), host of "The Tony Awards Present: Broadway's Back!" on CBS (2022 Emmy nomination), Abbott Elementary, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Harriet, and many more. In March 2018, Odom added the title of author to his resume with the release of his book - Failing Up: How to Take Risks, Aim Higher and Never Stop Learning, which was recently released in paperback in March 2025. Co-written with Nicolette Robinson, Odom's first children's book, I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know, was published by Feiwel & Friends in March 2023. The book debuted on the New York Times bestseller list at #7 in its first week. Odom has released six full-length albums. His sixth studio album and first-ever live album, An Offering: Live at Speakeasy Studios, was released on October 17, 2025.

I was very disappointed. I thought he was going to sing not read 3 chapters of his book.
Leslie was absolutely stunning, he came out with passion and energy and kept it up the entire performance. He was interacting with the crowd and hilarious. I would recommend him to anyone when he comes back.
The theater itself was very nice. It had a pleasant atmosphere, plenty of room, comfortable seats, and great sound quality. The show was absolutely fantastic! Leslie Odom Jr. did a wonderful job. The singing and instrumentation were superb. The Q&A was fun and interesting.
This Music touched our lives!! We are so thankful an amazing talent like Leslie Odum, Jr. came to Knoxville and blessed us with his beautiful music and a few exciting songs from "Hamilton" which we desperately want to see, but it will be many years before it makes it to our town. I bought my kids and my niece tickets to this show as an early Christmas present, and am so happy that we made the big decision. We saw the show on a Monday night and his music is still stuck in all our heads at the end of the week. Last night when I took my little ones to practice figure-skating (they compete), they started trying to come up with a new routine on the ice to a favorite song from Leslie's concert, which surprised me. So he has truly inspired us all, young and old! This concert touched our lives and we will not forget it. We had the privilege to briefly meet and speak to Leslie and he is a class-act. A lot of people will go to his concerts because of the hunger for Hamilton, and that's true of us too, but one thing became obvious to me: Hamilton would not have been the force it's become, had it not been for Lin putting incredible talent like Leslie Odum, Jr. in the cast. The show probably lasted an hour, and everyone wanted to hear so much more. It was fantastic!
His voice is incredible! It sounds more like a beautifully tuned instrument than anyone else I have ever heard in concert. We go to several concerts/musicals every year. It was a short concert but he spent several hours after signing merchandise. My daughter was over the moon she got to meet one of her singing idols.
Leslie Odom, Jr. is an incredible performer. His band is talented and it's clear they have fun together. The concert was wonderful and personal. The meet and greet following the show was such a lovely time. It was a gift to have the opportunity to meet this outstanding artist and thank him for all that he has shared with the world. Go see him and buy his music! You won't regret it.
First let me say that I have not (yet) jumped on the Hamilton bandwagon and I haven't ever listened to a Leslie Odom song. This concert was a gift to my wife. That being said, I really enjoyed the concert. He had a nice mix of jazz tunes and Hamilton songs that had me swaying to the music. My only complaint is that the concert was too short - a little over an hour. I didn't want it to end so soon!
The band were excellent, and Leslie's voice is amazing but I thought he lacked stage presence during songs - as if he was missing having choreography. He was much more lively while speaking. My big issue is that the entire show only lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes, including the encore! If there had been a warm up act I could have understood it, but I was disappointed for the price of the tickets.
Leslie Odom Jr. and the band put on a great show. Lots of musicality and fun. Sound system was so distorted and loud it often drowned out the vocalist. The Moore needs to work on this!
Fantastic concert and great sound. I think the sound was the best of any concert I've been to in quite some time.
Wow, just wow. I had the privilege of seeing him when he performed at the Jazz Alley awhile back in Seattle and he was great then, but he was evening better this time! Thoroughly enjoyed his performance and I'll be keeping an eye out for his next show in Seattle so I can attend that one as well.
Leslie Odom Jr & his band were absolutely amazing. You must go see them.
I didn't know what to expect for this event. The title was super mysterious and I couldn't find any descriptions of the event.... That being said, it was amazing! About an hour and a half concert with a mix of Leslie's album and Hamilton hits! I would completely recommend. At the end he had a meet and greet, and we were told he was signing Hamilton things.
Seeing Leslie Odom Jr. Live and in concert was a Great experience. The people in the Theater were so nice, and everyone enjoyed see this rising star. Bravo Leslie, Well Done!!!
I had a GREAT evening listening to Mr. Odom and his smooth voice. Great stage presence. Great connection with the audience and band was spot on the entire show.
LOJ was simply incredible! He made the audience laugh, cry, and sway to the rhythm all night long. His band was equally phenomenal, and my only regret was that it had to end :) His voice is like melting butter - so soft and smooth, and he definitely earns the moniker of Velvet Smoke.
Bought these tickets without really knowing anything about Mr. Odom other than he had played Raymond Burr in the Broadway play Hamilton. Went without a lot of expectation and was very pleasantly surprised. He has an amazing voice, connects well with the audience, and did a good mix of music from his Jazz album, a song from his newly released Christmas album and 3 songs from Hamilton. Really an enjoyable evening!
As soon as the band started playing, I was struck by the incredible sound quality of the venue. The Valley performing arts center in Norrhridge was beautiful and I was so moved by the musical quality. I could hear and feel ever single instrument so clearly, it felt like the music was running through my veins. Leslie is incredibly talented and was so charming. His voice was like water and the band together was like perfect harmony. The talent in the room mixed with the beautiful sound made for an incredible show that really moved me. It was amazing to get to hear Leslie sing songs from Hamilton! And the song from Rent, the Nat King Cole tribute and the great songs from the album...the show was perfect. I could have stayed all night!!
Best ever!!! Engaging, talented, I cried it was so beautiful!
I had recognized Leslie from a commercial or you tube. He had several recurring roles on a TV series called 'Person of Interest'. He embodied his character perfectly. I never new he could sing. So when I heard him on the commercial I was pleasantly surprised and knew it would be a great birthday gift for my partner since he loves music too. Leslie Odom did not disappoint! He has a beautiful voice and terrific stage presence. I have not yet seen Hamilton, but it is definitely a must after seeing Leslie perform. I can't wait to see his next body of work.
