I fell in love with his voice from Nationwide Insurance commercials🤷🏽♀️😃 I researched him and his music and became a fan. The concert was AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend seeing Leslie Odom, Jr and his outstanding band! Having the Memphis Symphony Orchestra playing with them made the event even more special. He made the evening so personal with comedy as well as small talk and the band was so into the music! 5 stars!!!!
The combination of Leslie Odum, Jr.’s golden voice and Memphis Sympathy Orchestra was remarkable!
Loved Leslie Odom Jr. loved the band and love MEMPHIS Orchestra. I would love to receive information from the Orpheum whenever there are charity events.
This is our second time seeing him. He truly a gifted performer who givesxa total show. He makes you laugh, gives you a little history on the songs he performs, and he tells you a bit about himself. The only critique I have is that a few songs the band and orchresta were too loud and you couldnt hear his beautiful voice.
Leslie Odom Jr gave a professional and classy event. His personality was delightful and his talent was undeniable. Vocals were so on point throughout the entire show. I never got bored during the two hour show. He embodies what a true entertainer of the Orpheum theater is all about. He provided a great mixture of music and my favorite was the crowd participation he included in his show. Definitely a one-0 of-a-kind show!
I loved the show! I bought the tickets to take one of my friends for her birthday and I was so glad I did!!!! I would definitely go to see him again, his voice is wonderful and I loved the song selections. This was our first time at the Count Basie Theater and we look forward to returning for more shows.
Leslie Odom Jr. and his band did not disappoint! His song selection was on point, starting off with “Wait for It” from Hamilton. His rendition of Nat King Cole’s song “I Know that You Know” was by far my favorite....Odom’s voice complemented the instrumental segments of the song( such talent wrapped into one package). Bravo to all on stage!!
LOJ is much more than Aaron Burr—his voice is like butter, and the band as tight as any we’ve heard recently. Great, great night!
The concert was great!! His voice is amazing and he has a great band.
The musicians were all amazing and the show was very casual and engaging! Would have loved for them to play a bit longer!!!
I took my 12 yr old son with me and he was mesmerized. He already loved the Hamilton Soundtrack but now he loves Nat King Cole, too.
Extremely engaging. I loved it. Look forward to his next concert.
Leslie Odum is a great talent we enjoyed the show very much, however the show was too short. It began after 7.30 and he was doing his finale song by 8.50.
Unforgettable. LOJ is an inspiring story. He has so much grace, humility and talent.
Leslie Odom, Jr. was a charismatic and engaging speaker. The program was short (barely more than an hour) but that worked out for us as we traveled four hours and it allowed us to get home the same night. Don't know if there was anything earth-shaking shared, but my daughter and I liked it. He sang a couple of numbers with his band after the talk that were excellent. The sound quality of the venue was superb. Plus, a book was included with ticket! My only issue with this beautiful old theater is the dearth of legroom. If you need to get out of your seat, everyone on the row HAS to get up; there is simply no going around. I can't believe that's not against fire code or something. They need to recalibrate the Orpheum Theater seating for modern times!
I wasn't sure what to expect. He read an excerpt from his new book and did a Q&A session with a local reporter. He sang two songs. It was over within an hour but I think the whole audience was hoping he'd come back out for more.
Leslie Odom Jr. was funny and a great public speaker. He is an amazing singer and his autobiography is going to be a great book. This event was unforgettable as he read his book and performed many songs, three of which were from what many of us know him from most, Hamilton!
He is an actor and singer let him do that. If Guilford wants speakers, book speakers. He read two chapters from his upcoming book. I felt like I was in grade school with the teacher reading to me. Wish I had stayed home.
This was a great event. Leslie is a huge talent (obviously) and shared passages from his forthcoming book, did a Q&A with the audience, and performed a few tunes. I really enjoyed the evening and, if you get a chance to see him live I definitely recommend it!
