They did a great job, loved it, will go again, when they come back.
We saw this band when they were at the Orleans for their Summer tour and had to come back for this Fall tour, they are such wonderful musicians, singers, and people! So much fun!!!! They absolutely love what they do and it shows in every way. We will be back to see them next year, never want to miss seeing these guys! Did I mention how much FUN they are?
I can't say enough about how good this band is. Their musicianship is over the top, and they put a ton of energy and flat-out FUN into every show. Their backstory, narrated by Roman (Leonid's son), makes it all the more amazing when you realize just what they've gone through to be able to bring their music to the United States. Five different artists take a turn at lead vocals. The horn section is crazy--as most trumpet/trombones, and especially sax players should be. Guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, and drums are always spot-on. I've seen them twice and would go again tomorrow for a third show if I could. They are amazingly talented, friendly, fun, and professional from start to finish--proof that music is indeed the universal language.
This was an awesome event! If you love music from Chicago, you need to see this group! They are truly phenomenal!!
Full of music, energy, and love. Looking forward to a return tour.
The band is as good or better than any we've ever seen!! The venue is beautifully restored and audience friendly! Great time!
My mom was a member of the Chicago Fan Club, and took my husband and I to see them every time they appeared in Las Vegas. She passed in 2013, and we haven’t been able to afford to see them since. My husband said that he saw L&F in the paper, and pulled them up on You Tube - he was flabbergasted at how great they sounded! He came home and told me to just listen to one of their songs; one turned into six, and I was on the computer getting tickets. At the show, you could close your eyes and swear that you were at a Chicago concert; I had tears streaming down my face for at least half of the show, because I know my mom was enjoying the music with us! The show was phenomenal and super high energy, lasting 2-1/2 hours, with only one 10 minute break. If you have ever even had the slightest inkling to see Chicago, do yourself a favor and give Leonid and Friends a chance! ❤️
I love the band Chicago's music and Leonid and Friends do a great job of recreating the magic. They are truly excellent musicians from guitar to percussion, keyboard to horns, and the vocals are fantastic! It was a really great show. And The Rose was a very nice and intimate setting. When I saw Chicago, many years ago, it was also in a relatively small venue, so this show brought back a lot of fond memories.
One of the best live shows I've ever been to! If you like horn bands, or Chicago, you definitely don't want to miss them.
They are better than Chicago. They are excited to be there, really want to do the best they can, and really want to connect to the audience. My wife is a drummer, and has been a Chicago fan even longer than I have, and this concert brought her to tears. She said it was the best concert she had ever seen. I'm not sure if I can say that, but it was definitely in the top five of MY life. If you love horn bands and just want to have the best time of your life, follow this band, you will not be sorry.
Incredible horns, lead guitarist was awesome, great harmonies, good humor, female vocalist was not only talented, but was drop dead gorgeous. Thanks to Leonid for putting together this amazing band.
Loved all the songs. Great performance. True to Chicago sound. Beautiful Ksenia.
2nd trip to the Rose. First time saw Styx. Leonid and Friends were extremely entertaining and well worth seeing. Enthusiastic, sincere and very talented musicians and vocals. Very well done! We also had dinner table reservations and the food was better than on our first trip. The chicken and filet mignon was above average. We had a VERY enjoyable evening.
Leonid & Friends 8-9-2019 The 800 seat concert was Sold Out at showtime. The show is billed as the Music of Chicago but they did play “Spinning Wheel” by BS&T and “September” by Earth Wind & Fire. The show started out playing the more obscure “side B” songs of the early CTA albums. After the intermission the songs were more of the hits and by that time the older audience was really into the concert. The horn section was animated just like an original Chicago concert goofing with each other and dancing around. Of course there was a “surprise” guest in the audience. Danny Sepaphine the original drummer of Chicago was brought up and played 2 songs with Leonid. Overall the over 2 hour concert was amazing and very entertaining. The music and vocals were excellent and they even did the obligatory 16 minute version of “I’m a man” near the end of the show. I forgot what song they played as an encore…. I guess I was just part of that older audience.
A great entertaining Band playing the Music of Chicago.
They were Great Live one of the best I’ve seen in years, truly worth seeing and money well spent.
We saw this band for the first time and absolutely love their High Vibes and Positive Energy! Of course I have loved the band Chicago for many years, and they make the memories come alive, and then some! These band members love what they do, and they connect with the audience in such an intimate, loving way. I can't wait to see them again, just one big high vibe party!
This band exceeded my expectations. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Would LOVE to see Leonid & Friends again, in a heart beat.
This group was terrific. Loved the horn section the most!
