    Fun at the Concert Hall

by Sweetie Pie on 1/31/23Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Easy to enter the hall with tickets on phone. Leo was great. Seats were very good, even if they were in L row. It was very easy to get out of the parking lot after the show. Once again we had a great time at the Concert Hall and the performance was great.

Seating at this venue very squished together and hot.

by Poodlespinner on 1/30/23Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Love Leo but would be better if he just played and skipped the scattered thoughts and stories. Not sure I’ll come to this venue again unless they fix the seating,

    Leo Kottke

by Karfrea on 1/30/23Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Great show …very entertaining …Leo is so talented. The show was on time and well organized. He played straight through, from 8 to 9:30 , no break which I preferred. So, show was over by 9:30 (instead of 10 ) ….much better for anyone driving far to come to the show. Easy parking and excellent door security always appreciate at Ponte Vedra Concert hall.

    Special!

by AJTVAC on 1/24/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Charming evening. Huge talent. A legend. I saw Leo in a small venue like a bar in Fort Lauderdale in 1992. He signed my album. “Haven’t seen one if these in years.” About as special as it gets. Thank you, Leo.

    Amazing Leo

by Gatorstan on 1/23/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

As always, Leo Kottke was amazing with his incredible guitar work and witty banter. I'm always looking forward to the next time he'll be in town. And thanks again Pamela Brown.

    Tired

by Tul on 1/23/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

I was really disappointed with his short performance. He couldn’t even wait for the late arriving crowd due to horrendous traffic. We missed the first 15 minutes. I saw him in Melbourne in 2006 and he was fantastic, playing various guitars and his signature 12 string for over 2 hrs. He did none of that this show, rather spent his time noodling on the guitar and telling quaint self deprecating stories. A complete waste of time and money.

    Kottke still kicking

by Kirkola on 1/23/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

This was the 5th time I've seen Kottke who was a big inspiration for me to play 6&12 string acoustic guitar. As one would expect with his age, the energy was lower, his story telling was more befuddled but still he managed to showcase a number of his best known songs with that incredible style. The 90 minutes went by too fast. I had not been on the Amaturo side of the Performing Arts center and it was a perfect venue.

    Leo

by Paulie on 1/23/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Excellent show other than I wish he would’ve played his 12 string also.

    A national treasure

by Ed on 1/23/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

I’ve been listening to Leo Kottke‘s music since the early 1970s. First time I put on his armadillo album. It just blew me away and it still does. At age 77. It’s amazing that he can still do what he does and he makes it fun to boot.

    Very Good Guitarist

by Ken C on 11/14/22Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Without question Leo is one of the best fingerpicking blues/jazz guitarists. His style is unique… completely his own. His comments during the performance were entertaining too. Having never heard him play, I didn’t know what to expect. As I said, his style was fantastic but I would have liked it better if his piece selection had included a few well known, popular pieces… I knew only one of his selections, his song “Pamela Brown”. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the concert very much.

    Leo seen again...

by Charlie on 11/14/22Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

I have seen Leo no less than 9 times. His finger work is simply amazing! I really like how he has fine tuned many of his songs. But- he is ageing. I saw more foibles in his performance than I have ever seen before. That having been said- I would pay to see him again- in a heartbeat! Leo Kottke at his worst is better than about 99.5% of the other guitar players out there. And his droll stories of his childhood are even better now as I think he feels freer to share them.

    Superb

by Dave on 10/20/22Birchmere - Alexandria

I have see Leo Kottke several times over the last 40 years. Each time is wonderful. He has always been amazing and the last show was as good as the first. I have been privileged to see him early in his career and feel privileged to have seen him again two days ago. Superb guitar, great singing, wonderful humor.

    Leo Kottke still has it!

by Classic Rocker on 10/20/22Birchmere - Alexandria

First off, the Birchmere is a perfect venue for Leo Kottke. It’s small and intimate: perfect for an acoustic guitarist. As to Leo himself, he’s a master at his craft. One of the top 5 guitarists I’ve ever seen. Probably the best acoustic guitarist I’ve ever seen. To watch him finger picking is a thing of joy. It’s amazing that, at 77, he can still play with the level of precision and dexterity that he does. A totally wonderful performance!

    Once in a Lifetime

by Acoustic Fan on 10/20/22Birchmere - Alexandria

To hear a legend was an incomparable experience and did not disappoint. In addition the Birchmere staff were friendly and went out of the way. For example, William at the door assisted me with checking in and bringing in my date who followed me. We got there early enough to get a great table right up front and watching his finger technique was exceptional as well his repartee was hilarious! I had a vegetarian dish which was perfect. Who knows if I will be able to see Leo Kottke ever again, but may we all shine your light as brightly as he does when we are his age.
