With the exception of the beautiful and talented ladies and one fellow, the other singers were off key more than once. Unless it was the sound people, it was very disappointing and I feel like I just got screwed out of 200.00. After the first couple of off key or extremely hard to hear singers, interest was lost, and you could feel it in the people, around me anyhow. It's too bad. I was really looking forward to this.
I enjoyed the show, very energetic and fast moving. The singers were very talented and did a great job playing the roles of the various singers. The value for the dollars spent on the tickets was very good. They were not in any hurry to end the show and played for over 2 hours.Well done.
The show was great. ADA seating needs attention. We had reservations for ADA but had to wait a long time for those without reservations to be seated and eventually moved. This was inconvenient and caused separation. The aisles in this section were very narrow. Other than this....everything was good.
Best time ever!!! So much excitement! So much fun!
Love the oldies the first group didn’t know a lot of songs they sand but after them the music was awesome. Had a great night. Thank you for bringing us down memory lane.
awesome awesome,, great songs from our past, that are still popular today, waiting for a return date, hope fully soon. super grats to all performs. and venue.
This was an early Father's Day gift for my father...1st half - acts missed their intro and refused to come on stage. The pianist left his post numerous times to go get the artists. GHETTO; people walking out because they felt duped...the moderator was drunk and whispering in the mic. Backstage conversations about money going on while the crowd boo's. What did i pay for? TOTALLY wish i could have gotten a refund. 2nd half - they redeemed themselves but total waste of a night.
Temptations were great. I wish they would have sung all night long. It took 35 minutes to change bands to the 4Tops. The band played a whole song once they were set up before the singers came out. Did I say Singers, oops sorry. They were awful. The lead singer did not know how to sing the originals. He tried to spice it up , that is not why I went to see them, I wanted to hear the oldies version. My wife and I walked out after 20 minutes on this second set, Yea, we missed out on the rest, but neither of us could stand the singer any longer. Things were bad enough with the seats we bought, and this just topped everything off. (they sold us seats behind the sounds guys. They were standing up most of the time and we could not see around them. UNREAL.
All three shows were really good. I really enjoyed the temps and the commodores the most. It started on time which was great but in between each group was a 30 to 45 break which was way too long. They should have had a stand up comedian or the music should have been playing louder.
we had a great time! All three acts were fab!! These legends lived yo to their titles!
The sound system was so badly over-driven that everything, voices as well as instruments, was all just a cacophony of mush. The first set was simply too loud, which would have been bad enough, but it was impossible to discern more than every second or third word, and the instruments were indecipherable, mushing into a noisy blur. If only the sound booth had turned the volume down a little so the speakers weren't pushed past their limits to deliver sound accurately. The second set started out much better, but by mid-set had reverted to the same acoustic mush. We didn't even try to stay around for the third set. I feel sorry for the singers and musicians; they deserved better than this. So did we.
The Temptations were the best of three bands as far as my party was concerned. At least the lead singer was an original member and the music felt authentic. It was terrific to walk down memory lane with all of the band's hits and chorography! We really enjoyed the performance. Unfortunately, the Four Tops had one original member and he was not the lead singer when the band was popular. It was a Vegas-style performance but after way too long of a time for the band to set-up, it was not effective to have a long introductory number before the band hit the stage. The music was alright but it seemed more karaoke than listening to the original band. Once again, there was a long set-up time between the bands. Both times for the set-ups, attendees were restless and began clapping to show their displeasure for the excessive time between performances. The Commodores were by far the most polished of the bands. Without Lionel Richie, the vocals just were not authentic. The two original members were great in their performances. The real disappointment was the music was too loud for the venue (I am not opposed to loud music, but this was excessive). Overall, I would not recommend the show to friends and certainly would think long and hard about another Legends show.
Would recommend this show to anyone who likes Motown Music.
Went with a friend for her birthday. Very disappointing evening. Music was good but too long a break between bands.
The sound system in the piano hall wasn't great and not all the songs sounded like the originals. The hall was nicely set up and clean and relatively smoke free.
This was a gift for my mom for Christmas. She loved it.
Great show! Talented bunch of singers and musicians. Good venue too.
Great show with lots of energy and crowd appeal. Excellent renditions of musical numbers with good variety of artists. MC 's jokes were a bit hokey but overall a fun evening.
This show was great! Seating was awful--too crowded. Gladys Knight, The Spinners, Stevie Wonder and Al Green had the place rocking and entertained! Would love to see more artists included in the act!
