I took my two granddaughters as they have been wanting to see Legally Blonde, the musical. I had anticipated having to take them to Chicago or another metro market. It was quite a surprise when I was able to get tickets in West Lafayette, Indiana! Elliot Hall, while showing its age, it’s still a wonderful venue. Most importantly, the girls had a magical time and I was the lucky one to be part of it.
I just was wanting to know if this show is kid friendly?
I had an AMAZING experience!!!! Everyone’s acting was spot on and they were able to sing and dance freaking PERFECTLY!!! I’m so so happy that I got to witness this beautifully fantastic show 100000000/10 would see again!!
Loved the show some of the voices were a little screechy and I couldn’t understand everything they were singing but absolutely loved the energy and thoroughly enjoyed the show
It was a lot of fun. The singing was beautiful and the acting was great. It was very true to the movie.
My 26 yo granddaughter and I saw this together. We both enjoyed it. We laughed and left with a feeling of happiness. The music was fun, the costumes and scenery were colorful and joyful. The acting and singing was excellent. We both could hear Reese Witherspoon speaking! Very fun play. Very well performed and directed.
If you like the movie, you will love it! But be warned, it is NOT the same. It was a lot of fun, and everyone seemed to enjoy the show. Too bad it was only in town for two nights.
Very loud and super high. Acoustics were wrong or something. Had to plug my ears on multiple songs. Play was awesome.
Much of this musical was very well done. The 1st half was too long, too over-the-top "ditsy" for my taste however. I think shortening or eliminating some of the sorority songs/antics would greatly enhance the production. Some of the initial songs/singing was borderline screechy and grated on my nerves. I thoroughly enjoyed te 2nd half however. Many actressess/actors performed very well, and I was entertained to the point that I nearly forgot my dislike of the beginning of the musical. All in all, I enjoyed the show. I would recommend it more for women/young ladies than men. My husband joined me as a last minute substitute for my daughter who was unexpectedly not able to attend. He agrees with my review, although he would recommend in general, whereas I would.
We had great seats and the 2.5 hours of the play just flew by. Really enjoyed this one.
Fun evening at Ames. Storyline matched that of the movie and the music was fun.
The Legally Blonde musical was so much fun! It was such a great energy show with wonderful singing and dancing! I laughed through the whole thing at expressions and innuendos and comic relief. Highly recommend for a super fun evening!
Loved this musical! Cast was very talented. I really enjoyed my experience.
So cute! A night of smiles. A light-hearted sweet musical with extraordinary characters.
The show was so much fun—very talented performers and very cleverly written songs—it really did the movie justice! Also, the Ames Center is a fantastic venue! Not a bad seat in the place, easy to get there and park and very helpful and friendly staff. A wonderful experience all around!
Just as good as Broadway!! Looking forward to our next show at the Count Basie.
Awesome play. Great singing. Loved it wonderful cast - enjoyed it immensely
I took my 10 year old granddaughter for her birthday and we both loved it.
The show was really good. The only thing I think needed to be updated were the sets. They seemed very outdated.
