This concert was fun, and energetic! She took us to the juke joint with her unique voice and story telling abilities. This was my first time seeing her, and I can't wait to see her again.
I enjoyed every moment of the concert. Leela James has a voice that is so strong and beautiful. She will beat any artist around when she sings. She sings from her heart, and it makes the audience go crazy! I will follow her whenever she comes back or comes to Chicago. I recommend that you go see her for yourself, you will be glad you did!
She was personal engaged with the audience. Sounds just like her music. Beautiful. Funny, and most of all, she captured the audience Everyone was partying in a good mood and friendly. The Best Concert of the Year! I will go see her again!

This was hands down the best concert I’ve been to (even over Beyoncé). Having Eric Roberson and Leela James together in one concert was brilliant. Two very soulful voices…
Ms Leela left empty! She gave us her all, a dynamic performer and an excellent show. She is definitely my all-time favorite! It’s been a long time that I’ve experienced such a great show. Thanks Leelah
I had such a great time at this concert! Leela James did NOT disappoint us at all! She was full of energy, excitement, full and her VOICE smh. This woman has great talent. I drove 244 miles one way to see her and will be traveling again to see her again! Next time I’ll wear flats though lol. I wore heels and danced all night! Don’t sleep on Leela James she is phenomenal
Patti Labelle was to be with Leela James on January 2 @ 8pm at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore, MD..it took over 30 min to even get to the front door of the Lyric IN THE COLD w/my elderly mother THEN we get in finally.. NO LEELA..UPSET to say thee least..I guess the promotor changed opening act to some VERY POOR NOT FUNNY AT ALL COMEDIAN being half way booed by the audience, ..I enjoyed and enjoy Patii BUT LEELA is my girl! The reason I purchased the tickets.. WAS Leela for me , Patti for my mom. I probably would have put the tickets up for resale IF I knew Leela wasn't going to be there 😕And ofcourse the ticket is nonrefundable in partial and whole!
Leela James is a FORCE!!! Her voice is amazing. I lived the Fox Theater as a venue (yayyy Oakland!) However, The person working the sound board had the instruments "on 10"and Leela on '8'. The only time I could clearly hear her was on Falling, a ballad. I would DEFINITELY see her again.
The concert was really good!! It just was not long enough with her performance.
This was my first time seeing Leela James. She reminded me of Tina Turner in her early years- southern, bluesy soulful. Her vocals and range are second to none and possibly the best in the industry. The atmosphere was like an old West Oakland “Sweet Jimmy’s” night club, dance yo’ass off party. Leela was engaging, and totally into the moment- asking the engineers to turn on the lights so she could get a look at the crowd. At one point in the show, her crew started pouring brown “Likka” (Crown Royal) to her partying guests. She was on fire- Funkin at the Fox in Oakland. The show was incredible, I left totally satisfied. If you have a chance to see her? Do it!
I really enjoyed Leela James. Her voice is so powerful that she really didn't need a microphone. That was my first time going to a concert at the Sound Board and I was impressed and can't wait to go to another show.

I’ve seen Leela quite a few times and she always turn it up but this show was the BEST!! The God daughter even brought the Brown stuff and was sharing it with us!!! The energy she brought that night was fire!!! Thanks Leela for showing Oakland love!! Stay safe and see you next time
The sounds was so loud couldn’t ever hear her singing… the worst experience I ever had at the fox theater… I will not ever attend another event there… left with a migraine headache… it was terrible
I have seen Leela multiple time at various venues over the years. As a long time fan I was very disappointed in this show. She appeared to be intoxicated. There was so much filler and not enough performance from Leela. The hype man who was on stage with Leela was off key and actually took away from the experience. Too many demands from me as spectator. Get up, say this or that, say it louder, give it up for….and the list goes on.
The event was nice, telegraph room was awesome, everyone was very professional.
Leela was in great voice - the little she sang. The show lasted less than 60 minutes and, if you were to deduct the time she was off stage and the DJ portion, her live performance was less than 45 minutes. The onstage "cheerleader"was annoying and unnecessary. This was my 4th or 5th time seeing Leela James perform and it was the least rewarding of all the shows. Not sure I would see her perform again.
Sorry! I’ve seen her perform before in Oakland. It was so loud it became just noise. I didn’t feel like I was being taken on a beautiful journey.
