Lee was ill and was only able to sing two songs. It was disappointing, but these things happen. Lady and the band did what they could and what little show we did get was great. I do, however, wish that they had started on time. 15-20 minutes late is fine and to be expected, but it was really annoying to have to wait an entire hour for an abbreviated show.
This Concert was absolutely incredible! We had the best time!
His music can move me like few other musician's can. The genre of "SOUL" is what he is, full of soul and energy to give. More than a treat or a fun night out, after seeing Lee I feel refreshed and reminded what life is all about.
Lee Fields was born to perform. His band is briliant. Amazing show.
Amazing! Lee Fields was on point, wearing a dapper blood red blazer while tearing through Tracks on his last two albums and throwing in some oldies as well. The Expressions where one of the tightest ensembles I've seen in a while, backing up Lee with funky horns, and smoothed out sounds for the slower songs. Phenomenal show, I can't stop raving about it. I only wish people appreciated this type of music more, for Mr. Fields is truly a living legend.
Awesome show. High energy, great sound, and a great venue. Too bad it was on a Tuesday night - would have gotten really crazy! Hope he comes back to ATL soon!
This is my 3rd time seeing Lee Fields & the Expressions, and they just keep getting better with time! Everything about this show was amazing from the DJ's (Akalepse & Chairman Mao) to the opening act (The JayVons) to the venue to the audience. This was my first time at the Music Hall & I was quite impressed with the decor & sound system there. Just a great experience and a nice time out with a bunch of friends.
Great voice; and very entertaining performer! The brass instruments could be better, but in any case worth going just for the singer.
