LCD SOUNDSYSTEM IN CONCERT:

Back in the early '00s fans fell hard and fast for the funky electronica and rebellious rock and roll spirit LCD Soundsystem brought to their superb albums and killer live shows. The fun ended in 2011 when the band hung up their guitars and unplugged their drum machines, but not all was lost—legendary frontman James Murphy announced a reunion in 2015, and fans can't wait for LCD to blast some seriously funky stuff when they return to the stage. With headlining sets at several world-class festivals slated for 2016, the band has fans chomping at the bit to dance the night away to favorites like “Losing My Edge”, “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House”, and “North American Scum”. LCD Soundsystem is sure to deliver the party-worthy passion that ticket buyers love to feel on the dance floor, and fans can't wait for their epic comeback party.

BACKFROUND SNAPSHOT:

James Murphy bounced around the NYC music scene for more than a decade before gaining traction with the DJ project Death from Above, which saw him spinning everything from Daft Punk to Can. After seeing a younger DJ aping his unique mixes, he was inspired to write the snarky, humorous “Losing My Edge” in 2002 and LCD Soundsystem was born. He continued to cut successful singles and assembled a group of musicians to recreate his songs in a live setting, a move that thrilling both indie rockers and underground dance fans. Murphy's underground fame soon gave way to crossover success—the band's 2005 self-titled debut and 2007 album Sound of Silver both received Grammy nominations for Best Electronica/Dance Album. After the release of their 2010 album This Is Happening, Murphy decided to step out of the limelight and announced the group’s final show the following year. The hiatus only lasted four years, as the songwriter posted a heartfelt letter to his fans in 2015 telling them he had come up with a wealth of new material and decided that his former band would be the best outlet for it. With LCD Soundsystem headlining major festivals like Coachella in 2016, fans can’t wait to pick up where this dance party left off.

  • Best summer concert of several summers

by North American Scum on 8/11/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 5 out of 5

James Murphy's perfectionism shined through--this was so good and so worth it. TV on the Radio was the opener and the balances on the soundboard didn't shine, but that was all forgotten three songs into LCD Soundsystem's set.

  • Amazing show - terrible parking

by Tony on 8/11/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 4 out of 5

Amazing show! Loved LCD Soundsystem and TV on the Radio. Venue is in serious need of professional parking lot management. It took an hour to get out of the parking lot. Everyone we’ve spoken to that’s gone to shows at Remlinger Farms has had similar experiences at the end of shows there. Apparently the only way to avoid this is to leave the show early, which is a lame solution. Place is staffed by friendly but inept attendants. The know how exists to remedy this problem.

  • LCD Farm Takeover

by Becca on 8/11/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 5 out of 5

LCD came to play!! Excellent sound from fine musicians. James Murphy battled his cold, won the audience and delivered the hits! Dancing at the farm was a perfect setting.

  • Great show but some problems with lyrics or sound.

by Great show. on 8/11/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 4 out of 5

Been a fan of these guys for a long time and seen them live many times. However the final song “ all my friends “ was a little disappointing as either the lead singer forgot lyrics or there was a sound issue. This did end the show on a bad note ( no pun intended )

  • Venue needs work!

by BigJB on 8/11/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 2 out of 5

The band (and sound) were absolutely fabulous. The venue is easy to get into but pure Hell to get out of. The parking attendants had no clue what they were doing and seemed to be waiving their flashlights around just for for fun. We sat in one spot for 75 minutes without moving. I would think twice before attending another show there.

  • LCD Soundsystem w/ TV on the Radio

by Bowieisagod on 8/10/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 5 out of 5

This was such an amazing show from both bands coupled by an amazing venue. Remlinger Farms is such a breath of fresh air (literally) for a concert venue. Spacious, lots of food and drink vendors and short merch lines. The only drawback would be the traffic leaving the venue but due to the plentiful free parking that doesn’t surprise me.

  • Great concert, great venue, some minor issues

by Alex on 8/10/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 5 out of 5

I went to see TV on the Radio and LCD Soundsystem on Thursday night. I had never been to Remlinger Farms and thought it was a great venue for a concert. I loved the space and facilities. My only complaint was that getting out of the venue via car was slow and disorganized. It wasn’t terrible and once I got a short distance from the venue, it was fine.

  • Great Band and Show, Not Great Venue

    by biznacho2000 on 8/10/25Remlinger Farms - CarnationRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing. LCD Soundsystem was amazing. The venue is terrible. Food choices are extremely limited. There is so much space for food trucks providing more food options. Exiting the venue took almost an hour.

  • LCD magnificent!!

by Howie on 5/7/25Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Show was incredible! James Murphy sounded awesome, and band was spot on. I can’t wait until they come back. May try and catch them in another city. Hats off!!

  • LCD as fun as LSD

by LCD Soundsystem for president on 5/7/25Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen this band 10 times now and the worst they ever are is a 9/10. Epic band for those who like energy and sound played and not ripped off. You're gonna dance ... Try not to.

  • Epic

    by Jen C on 5/6/25Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time at the venue, Coka-cola Roxy. It was a fun and lively location with so many restaurants, entertainment and great people watching. The show was great. Sound was fabulous. Lighting was fun. The bands were Epic. All of the other fans at the show seemed like old friends. Great time!

  • Coco Roxy Couldn't ruin LCD, but they tried!

by Roxy Hater 5.3.25 on 5/6/25Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

The Coca-Cola Roxy, actively hostile to comfort and fun, dares to ask how few water stations are needed for hundreds of patrons chilled by a single fan on a fifty foot ceiling. Make sure you go potty in the middle of your headliner's set, because the bathrooms *will* be closed when the show's over and you don't want to piss yourself when you walk out beneath the glaring terror of the Comcast logo to spend $90 on am uber. Two stars because the fleet of bartenders did a good job. LCD Soundsystem kills it as always.

  • Absolutely Incredible!

by Neil on 4/28/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I went with my wife to see LCD Soundsystem at the Bomb Factory yesterday. It was amazing. The light show was crazy I felt like I was in a dream. They played all their hit songs and I loved every minute of it. That was my first time seeing them live, but it wont be my last!

  • Awesome show!

by Kev on 4/27/25Emo's Austin - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

The room was a good fit, for a sold out LCD show. Sound was great! Nice bartenders too.

  • Great show!

I had a great time at the LCD Soundsystem concert this past weekend. They played all the hits and were on key. All around great show!

  • AMAZING

by mia on 3/11/25Petco Park - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

this was honestly one of the best concerts i’ve ever been to. the visuals and the screens and lighting were so cool, not to mention, the whole band played amazingly and JAMES VOCALS WERE KILLER. my best friend and i had a blast and we were literally rolling around having so much fun and dancing so hard. the peak was definitely dance yrself clean but wow so fun so cute so perfect. the stadium was so cool too, it was like half a hill and park and then balconies and bars and stuff, not what i was expecting at all, it was way better than that. also we aren’t from san diego but it is so cool there and the people are so nice wow. love petco park. love lcd soundsystem. love san diego.

  • Lovely Evening of Energetic Good Vibes

by tkwsd on 3/11/25Petco Park - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first LCD show and won't be my last! They are pros! So kind, fun, talented and just all around great group. The crowd was friendly and positive, all just vibing to the great tunes!

  • Pure Joy

by Yuman on 3/11/25Petco Park - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I usually am concerned how well a venue hosts the first event of a season. The Petco crew was perfection; kind, responsive, and knowlegable. Nation of Lingo was just a great opener. The crowd enjoyed them and pored in for LCD. I was on the rail and never felt pushed upon or crowded, though the venue was packed. LCD sounded great with a fun set…Phoenix got a few songs we did not.
