LCD SOUNDSYSTEM IN CONCERT:

Back in the early '00s fans fell hard and fast for the funky electronica and rebellious rock and roll spirit LCD Soundsystem brought to their superb albums and killer live shows. The fun ended in 2011 when the band hung up their guitars and unplugged their drum machines, but not all was lost—legendary frontman James Murphy announced a reunion in 2015, and fans can't wait for LCD to blast some seriously funky stuff when they return to the stage. With headlining sets at several world-class festivals slated for 2016, the band has fans chomping at the bit to dance the night away to favorites like “Losing My Edge”, “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House”, and “North American Scum”. LCD Soundsystem is sure to deliver the party-worthy passion that ticket buyers love to feel on the dance floor, and fans can't wait for their epic comeback party.

BACKFROUND SNAPSHOT:

James Murphy bounced around the NYC music scene for more than a decade before gaining traction with the DJ project Death from Above, which saw him spinning everything from Daft Punk to Can. After seeing a younger DJ aping his unique mixes, he was inspired to write the snarky, humorous “Losing My Edge” in 2002 and LCD Soundsystem was born. He continued to cut successful singles and assembled a group of musicians to recreate his songs in a live setting, a move that thrilling both indie rockers and underground dance fans. Murphy's underground fame soon gave way to crossover success—the band's 2005 self-titled debut and 2007 album Sound of Silver both received Grammy nominations for Best Electronica/Dance Album. After the release of their 2010 album This Is Happening, Murphy decided to step out of the limelight and announced the group’s final show the following year. The hiatus only lasted four years, as the songwriter posted a heartfelt letter to his fans in 2015 telling them he had come up with a wealth of new material and decided that his former band would be the best outlet for it. With LCD Soundsystem headlining major festivals like Coachella in 2016, fans can’t wait to pick up where this dance party left off.

  • Fantastic show

by Ugli on 8/26/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I've seen in a very long time. The DJ that opened was fun the crowd was awesome and the band was absolutely fantastic. I had a spectacular time

  • Start on time...

by Al on 8/25/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 3 out of 5

If the headliner doesn't have any openers, and says the show is going to start at 7:30pm - don't lie to us and start the show at 9pm instead. The only downfall of seeing LCD Soundsystem live was getting to the venue 3 hours before any band walked out onto the stage. We spent 3 hours waiting for a band that only played for 2 hours.

  • Great Live Show!

by Craig on 8/25/25History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing Show! Wish I could have gone to all the shows! Played all the songs you wanted to here. Everyone in the band stood out!

Such a great show with amazing musicians, everything was spot on. Can't go wrong with LCD.

  • Great show, absurd preliminaries

by KentAllard on 8/22/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 4 out of 5

LCD Soundsystem was fantastic. Different than I expected, more hard rocking. Incredibly entertaining, fabulous musicianship. James Murphy vocals were superb, his showmanship was endearingly goofy. But I do have a major complaint. The show was on a weekday in the hinterlands of St. Louis. The show was advertised as starting at 7:30. In the same venue, DEVO started at 7:30 on the nose and sent people home at a reasonable hour so they could get to work in the morning. LCD Soundsytem had an unadvertised DJ who played from 7:30 to 9 PM. I liked his music but that meant the show actually started at nine. They blew the roof off for an hour, then took a break at 10 PM. I had a long drive home and work the next day so I left during the break (I can't ever recall ever having a major band take a mid show break). Those who stayed had a very short night's sleep. In Manhattan I'm sure people see bands past midnight. In the heartland we have to work. I felt it was rude to keep people waiting while standing for an hour and a half past the advertised start time, then take a break after an hour. Great show, discourteous timeline. One hour at a time is all these talented sloths can play? Jeez.

  • LCD and the Factory match made in Heaven

by White Moses 40 on 8/22/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

LCD absolutely killed it. Also the Factory does an amazing job all the way around. Acoustics are incredible. Parking was efficient. No long lines. Great all the way around.

  • LCD did St. Louis dirty

by Linds on 8/22/25Rating: 2 out of 5

I did not have a good experience at this show. Unbeknownst to me, there was not an opening band. I found out later that other cities got TV on the Radio-- but we got an EDM DJ that played from 7:30-9PM. This information was not made available before the show and it was absolutely miserable. The GA floor area was completely packed with people where you could not move and there was no airflow. It was also quite boring as listening to a DJ is not what I signed on for. I actually considered leaving and just eating the cost of the ticket. I was so hot and tired by the time LCD came on that I could not really enjoy the show. They should have gotten us a real opener or started the main show earlier. Or at the very least, post the set times so I could have showed up at 9pm. I would not see this band again.

  • LCD

by groovie on 8/22/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Took my daughter to her first “club“ concert. Multiple times throughout she stated best time ever watching them. Hard to find good bands like this anymore to watch. Lifetime memory with LCD System. Thanks for helping me keep my kool dad status.

  • that’s how it staaaaarts!!!

by Callie Jean on 8/15/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

i have never regretted the money spent seeing this band. and i will tell anyone, if you ever have an opportunity to see lcd, do it. an outdoor was different, vastly so from the GA indoor shows i’ve grown to associate seeing them with. but being up in the lawn, with a bunch of people dancing their hearts out was truly an experience of a lifetime. i’d do it again in a heartbeat

  • Incredible Show

    by ConcertLady65 on 8/15/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

LCD Soundsystem gave an incredible performance at Sandy Amphitheater. Despite being ill, James Murphy gave a high energy performance and sounded great. The rest of the band were amazing too and some were sick too. I'm grateful that they powered through for all their fans. Would definitely see them again!

  • NIN still puts on a phenomenal show

by Jess on 8/15/25Sandy Amphitheater - SandyRating: 5 out of 5

This show was unbelievably good. They played the best songs. Trent Reznor's voice still holds strong. Venue was really good for the sound.

  • I wish I would have left early

by Music on 8/13/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 3 out of 5

I've never been a LCD Soundsystem fan. I went to see TV on the Radio and only stayed to take a couple of videos for my nephew who loves LCD and hear Oh, Baby because I do love that song. I am so disappointed they didn't do it when it was on other setlists. The lead singer is boring, granted he said he was very sick, but still. At the beginning of their set and at the end of the intermission, they started playing before the dj turned down his volume. They had this huge disco ball and only did something really cool with it once, when it was still light outside. If I had known they weren't going to do Oh, Baby I would have left after the opener. But the crowd was way into it and they were fun to watch.

  • LCD please return!

    by Suz541 on 8/13/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

I love them so much. James you have such an incredible range, so much talent, and mad skills. And Nancy, people traveled from Portland just to see you! You two are incredible artists!

  • Great show at my favorite venue

by SoManyNopes on 8/13/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

It’s a beautiful venue in a beautiful place that manages to get great bands. Sound quality is always amazing. Locals are chill and friendly. Food was great too.

  • Better than I hoped!

by Linds on 8/12/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve loved LCD Soundsystem for years and was so excited to finally see them live. They did not disappoint! Still delivering dance-worthy music and putting on a show! I will see them live any chance I can get! A great night of amazing hits, dancing and stage entertainment!

  • Incredible

by Kjell on 8/12/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best live music experiences ever. Eight musicians in their element make up the multitude of layers that most of LCD Soundsystem's songs require. I loved them before I saw them live but they are so much better live than recorded. They played around with their songs is ways that kept it fresh and me wanting them to continue playing for a few more hours until my legs got tired.

  • I am IN LOVE!

by INCREDIBLE!! on 8/12/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

🪩 I bought tickets to LCD Soundsystem for my husband for his 50th birthday and just to be nice, decided to go with him... the band wasn't my thing. But... The concert was absolutely incredible!!!! The VIBE, the atmosphere, the people, the songs THAT DEEP BASS!!!!! That DISCO BALL!! OMG Hands down the best concert I've ever been too. And now... I can't stop listening to LCD Soundsystem. They really are an incredible band. I kinda wish we had tickets for their concert the following night!! EVERY ONE WAS DANCING THE ENTIRE NIGHT!

  • Best Show

by Ades on 8/12/25Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

Went both nights. Both nights absolutely amazing. TV On the Radio was a total blast, and got us all hyped up. I only wish they could have played longer. But I am thankful for getting to see them play twice. Kyo Malones outfits were AMAZING!! LCD Soundsystem was fantastic. I feel really lucky to get to see them at Hayden Homes twice in a row. Thank you to the producer that James mentioned has family here. You have now made my dreams come true three times.

  • Great show, great venue. Loved every minute of it.
