About

Lauren Alaina on Tour

When she auditioned a cappella for the 2011 season of American Idol, Lauren Alaina's voice made J.Lo cry. In truth, that emotive pop-country coo is enough to power an entire concert today, but the Georgia singer gives audiences that and more. Backed by a lean and mean band, Alaina moves between upbeat sing-alongs full of Southern shout-outs (from Jason Aldean to John Deere) and heartfelt autobiographical ballads that often end with the artist shedding a few tears herself. It's no wonder that after winning hearts (and second place) on Idol, Alaina went on to tour with the likes of Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, Martina McBride and Luke Bryan. Her music supports its old twang with new tech, and her knack for classic storytelling is infused with modern messages of empowerment, acceptance and self-love.

Lauren Alaina in Concert

It's tempting to imagine Alaina as the small-town girl who appears in her 2011 song "Growing Her Wings," locked in a bedroom and dreaming of bigger things. But in truth, this Rossville, Georgia, native took flight at a very young age. She began singing at three and did so pretty much anywhere she could: churches, restaurants, karaoke, family gatherings and, by age eight, talent shows. She won one after another between trips to perform in Nashville, so it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone who knew her that, as a teen, Alaina would step away from serving pizza at CiCi's to try out for Idol. Though she was the Season 10 runner-up, she scored big with a Mercury Nashville record deal, then repaid the favor with her first LP, 2011's Wildflower, the best-selling debut from a female country star since 2006. While that set featured big, crisp production, it was fueled by laid-back grooves, driving Southern rock and the occasional banjo strum. Alaina's long-awaited follow-up, 2016's Road Less Traveled, carried that same feeling forward but with more modern flourishes (producer busbee is as much known for his work with Shakira as Maren Morris). The songs also brought new insight into Alaina's personal life, as she sang about family struggles, romantic troubles and, most importantly, making it to the other side.

    Fabulous

by Jeanne on 8/28/21Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I was thrilled that strict Covid protocols were put in place at the last minute. That really added to the enjoyment & comfort. Loved the addition of great entertainers like Keith Urban & Ronnie Dunn to the performance. All of the entertainers were fantastic. Disappointed Toby Keith didn't show up or perform. This is my 2nd one & both have been outstanding & heartwarming to hear the stories & kindnesses of the known & unknown honorees. A great night!

Great, but the auditorium is not glass.

by Jordan on 8/28/21Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

The event and performances themselves were absolutely beautiful. I would definitely see all of those performances again. However, where each act was made to stand was awful. Sitting in the middle of a row still left you unable to see half of the show. You had to choose which side of the stage you wanted to see and still couldn't see the middle. This could have been solved with simply moving the acts closer to where the host usually stood. Guests can't see through pillars.

    LOVED IT

It was great. Small venue. Felt very different or more relaxed than a huge venue.

Great location, not so great acoustics

    by S.P. on 2/4/20The Foundry - Philadelphia

We had a great time and loved Lauren Alaina and Filmore! But my feedback for The Foundry is not as good. The doors were supposed to open at 7pm and we stood in the rain until 7:30 when they started letting us in and the line moved incredibly slow while waiting out in the rain. Once inside we got drinks and waited for the show. The acoustics were not good in this room. The music was so loud it was garbled coming out of the speakers but somehow I could still hear the people talking at the back of bar. I wish it had been a better sound to highlight the great vocals.

by Kathy Sturges on 2/4/20The Foundry - Philadelphia

There's not enough stars for the rating. Love how Lauren looks around at ALL of her fans. There was this one little girl at the Philadelphia show that knew every word to all the songs. Loved how Lauren spotted her and brought her up on stage to sing with her. Absolutely LOVE Lauren

    Lauren Alaina at the Foundry

    by N. on 2/3/20The Foundry - Philadelphia

The concert itself was great. The venue however left patrons standing outside in the rain for more than a half hour past the time stated when doors would be opening. There was another event at the Fillmore the same night and those guests were allowed to enter on time. The venue should be prepared to let guests in at the time stated the doors will open.

    Lauren was amazing

    by Karly192 on 9/29/18FivePoint Amphitheater - Irvine

Lauren was very funny, kind, and such a joy to meet. She took her time and we got to take several photos with her. She signed multiple things for people. She answered questions and even did the "Baby Shark" dance. She sounded amazing on stage. Her and Luke Combs were even playing pranks on stage with one another which was really silly and cute. Very much enjoyed my experience. #LaurenAlainaVIP

    Lauren Alaina

by Dancebeliever1297 on 8/8/18Paragon Casino Resort - Marksville

Her show was awesome, but the lights were too bright for the small venue area where it was located. I had to leave because of the flashing lights giving me a migraine.

Concert was great. Lauren Alaina was fabulous. Only complain is that concert was not but 1 hr. We drove 2&1/2 hrs one way for a 1 hr concert. Understand she's new & not many hits, but she could have sang other songs. 5 hr trip, $ spent on food, drinks, gas,& tickets= lots of $$$$$$$$. For a 1 hr concert.

    I'll go see Lauren anywhere

by LaurenOwnsMeHonestly on 8/6/18Paragon Casino Resort - Marksville

Room was a bit hard to find in the casino. The actual room the show was in was not listed on Ticketmaster so I wasn't even sure what I was looking for. Even then, more signs would be helpful. I think it would be beneficial for Ticketmaster to put a picture of the inside of their venues, maybe from a few different angles. The most important part here-Lauren. She is one of my favorite performers and she loves to find any way she can to meet her fans. She always makes you feel loved. She's one of the best humans ever, no joke.

    Very disappointed!

by Jimenty on 12/14/17South Carolina - Atlanta

It wasn't too bad but it wasn't good. There's nothing special about her voice. Seriously, her voice wasn't good enough to have a concert. It was more like a musical performance. As a matter of fact, I thought it was the worst musical performance I have ever seen. Sorry.but it's true.

    Lauren Alaina was Amazing!

by victoriaagosta on 7/22/17Resorts Atlantic City - Atlantic City

This show was unlike any Lauren show I have ever been to. Seeing her carry her own headlining show was proof that she was born to be on stage. Every song was sung flawlessly and she did a great job of getting the audience involved. She stayed after the show to meet everyone.
