About

Lauren Alaina on Tour

When she auditioned a cappella for the 2011 season of American Idol, Lauren Alaina's voice made J.Lo cry. In truth, that emotive pop-country coo is enough to power an entire concert today, but the Georgia singer gives audiences that and more. Backed by a lean and mean band, Alaina moves between upbeat sing-alongs full of Southern shout-outs (from Jason Aldean to John Deere) and heartfelt autobiographical ballads that often end with the artist shedding a few tears herself. It's no wonder that after winning hearts (and second place) on Idol, Alaina went on to tour with the likes of Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, Martina McBride and Luke Bryan. Her music supports its old twang with new tech, and her knack for classic storytelling is infused with modern messages of empowerment, acceptance and self-love.

Lauren Alaina in Concert

It's tempting to imagine Alaina as the small-town girl who appears in her 2011 song "Growing Her Wings," locked in a bedroom and dreaming of bigger things. But in truth, this Rossville, Georgia, native took flight at a very young age. She began singing at three and did so pretty much anywhere she could: churches, restaurants, karaoke, family gatherings and, by age eight, talent shows. She won one after another between trips to perform in Nashville, so it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone who knew her that, as a teen, Alaina would step away from serving pizza at CiCi's to try out for Idol. Though she was the Season 10 runner-up, she scored big with a Mercury Nashville record deal, then repaid the favor with her first LP, 2011's Wildflower, the best-selling debut from a female country star since 2006. While that set featured big, crisp production, it was fueled by laid-back grooves, driving Southern rock and the occasional banjo strum. Alaina's long-awaited follow-up, 2016's Road Less Traveled, carried that same feeling forward but with more modern flourishes (producer busbee is as much known for his work with Shakira as Maren Morris). The songs also brought new insight into Alaina's personal life, as she sang about family struggles, romantic troubles and, most importantly, making it to the other side.

    by Jgboyd76 on 8/7/22TempleLive Wichita - Wichita

She put on a great show. Every song was great from beginning to end. Generous to all the fans all the fans was giving her boots and hats to sign and she was able to do all that during the show. Hands down to her. And I hope she comes back to Wichita Kansas again.

Lauren was great!! They put on a great show! And her guitar player was nice enough to give out pics to anyone who wanted one. That was very generous! The girl who opened up, Lauren Hall was really good too!

    Lauren Loud

by TheBigFid on 4/19/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Lauren was great but, the sound level was uncomfortable. Loud is not always better, especially when it prevents you from understanding the words.

We had VIP tickets. Everything about this was perfect. The venue was well set up, easy access to bathrooms, and bar are. The performers were amazing. And parking right beside was nice, said $5 event parking but we got charged $11, other than that great night!!

For the most part pretty good.

by Rob on 3/29/228 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

There was a mix up with how standing room only is at the venue, I bought the VIP package, the ticket said general standing. General standing at this venue, is just General Admission, we thought we had standing room by the stage.

    Disappointed

She has an amazing voice, just wish she would have played more upbeat songs for the bar setting. Ended up leaving early.

    High Energy

by Dewbird on 3/22/22Whiskey Roadhouse-Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino - Council Bluffs

The show was very good. Both Spencer Crandall and Lauren Alaina are very high energy and talented singers. I was disappointed with the VIP experience. You do not get to meet Lauren. You just sit around and ask questions and then take a group picture with her. Kind of nice, but not worth the money to me.

    Wish I spoke up

by Awc9311 on 3/6/22Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

We were asked if there were any other questions, i wish i had the guts to let Lauren know that her album helped me say goodbye to a very toxic relationship i had been in. If it wasn’t for her i would still be stuck. My anxiety got the best of me unfortunately and I didn’t get the chance to tell her.

    ACM HONORS

by Betty on 8/28/21Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

It was fantastic and the weather was hot. Drove from Wisconsin for both concert and award ceremonies. Seats were awesome and crowd well behaved. All the performances were great just wish would have played longer. I wish there were performers articles for sale. All in all I would definitely go again. It was a great way to hear good music again for a cause.
