About

Larry the Cable Guy brings a hilarity to stand up comedy that most people simply aren’t used to. His southern accent, which he admittedly exaggerates, gives blue collar individuals and everyone else alike a way to relate to this hilarious funnyman. After getting his start by making guest appearances on radio shows, he gained quick fame on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, the comedian of “You might be a redneck” fame. Larry went on to have two comedy albums receive gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Those two albums, though, were not even close to the end of his story. Larry the Cable Guy, who has never actually been a cable guy, went on to get roasted on Comedy Central; and once a celebrity has made it to Comedy Central Roast status, it’s obvious to anyone who had tickets or watched the show that the star really “made it”. Fortunately for the redneck hero, this roast didn’t signify the end of a long career like it usually does for others.

In fact, the loveable sleeveless shirt wearing comedian gained his own show, Only in America, on the History Channel. He was even allowed into the White House’s War Room during filming of the show. What makes this story even more amazing is his actual humble beginnings; since it may have been difficult for anyone to guess that a little boy raised on a pig farm in Nebraska would one day grow up to be Larry the Cable Guy. As it turns out, however, that little farm boy really knew how to “Git-R-Done”.

Even with a sometimes busy schedule involving filming for the History Channel, Larry still finds time to tour around the country to let his fans know he loves them. Even children love the shows since the unlikely star lent his voice to Mater on the Pixar movie Cars. And for those who miss Larry in concert halls on the big screen, the December 2013 release of A Madea Christmas will undoubtedly be exciting. As Larry likes to say, “I don’t care who ya are, that’s funny right there”.

  • Pretty good show

We enjoyed Larry the Cable Guy in Grant Oklahoma. However, Larry has seemed to lose a little something off his fastball in the last few years. It may be because it appeared (to me) that he had a couple of 'pops' before the show. That said, it was a solid 3-star set. However, the 'warm up' comedian that did a 15-20 minute set was not very good. I'm not familiar with his past work, but he yelled through most of his set (leading to over oscillation) and was only mildly funny.

  • Mater Got It Done in Grant

We attended Larry's show at a small casino in Grant, OK on Friday. I was stunned when I saw the event and there were two seats on the first row, middle that were somehow available so I immediately purchased them. We were 15 feet from Larry and saw every look, every inflection, up close. The first five minutes was specific to the venue which I thought was unique for such a headliner and then he began with his bits and I laughed until I cried. Everything was new and it felt fresh. I have seen Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White, Niki Glaser, Chris Rock, Tom Segura, John Mulaney, Greg Warren, Kelsey Cook, Kathleen Madigan, Bert Kreisher, Shane Gillis, Taylor Tomlinson and Kathleen Madigan in the last three years and this show was definitively in the top five.

  • Great show. Terrible seats

Larry was amazing would see him over and over but not at this venue. For what it costs you would think the seats would be more comfortable and a little more spacious. I should not be touching elbows with strangers.

Larry is still funny as all get out I’m glad we went to hard rock to see his show. If you haven’t been to Hard Rock in Rockford to see a show such as a great act like Larry you don’t know what you are missing. Gladly see again.

  • A good show

by Sparky on 4/7/25Hard Rock Live Rockford - RockfordRating: 4 out of 5

The comedy that Larry provides definitely appeals to a certain demographic more than others, but his down to earth, folksy humor is still appealing to everyone. He puts on a solid 1 hour show, which is just about enough. Git-er-done.

  • Definitely Off Night 4 Larry

by AKA on 4/7/25Hard Rock Live Rockford - RockfordRating: 2 out of 5

Seen Larry the Cable Guy at Hard Rock definitely was an off night for him. Wasn’t as funny as seen before, kept looking at watch for time, and was visibly hand shaking on big screens. Seen him over 10 years ago or more in Dekalb was fantastic. Expectations were set high for this performance but fell way short of that.

  • Very funny!

Great opening act. Larry had a great set, very interactive with the crowd

  • Disappointing

by JC on 3/11/25Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 2 out of 5

I've been a fan for a long time, but this performance wasn't good. The jokes were pretty stale, and the punchline or build up was poorly delivered. Larry seemed to forget jokes several times. And the opening act wasn't good either with too many MAGA supporting references or jokes. It was supposed to be a comedy show not a political rally.

  • Great Venue

by Sharilyn on 3/11/25Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing anyone at Hard Rock Live Orlando and it was great! I was sitting in the 5th row just a couple seats off of center stage. Absolutely fanatic night!!

  • Excellent, Best Seats, Hilarious

    by Dave&Deb on 2/24/25Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Fist time going to Clowes Hall. Didn't know where to go but everyone was so helpful and got us to our balcony seats. If there was anything to complain about it would be getting out of the parking garage after the show. Took about an hour.

  • Great Show
