I've always liked KT Tunstall's music, and then I went to her concert at the House of Blues San Diego. The music was fabulous - even better live. But more than that, she seems like one of the most likeable, nice people you'd ever want to meet. All in all, a fabulous concert and a fabulous evening.
KT rocked the house! One of the best performances I've seen in a long time. Super raw talent. Also, the House of Blues was an excellent venue for this show. I'd see her again in a heartbeat. :-)

First time seeing KT with a backing band. Saw her about a year ago in an acoustic setting. Regardless of where, I will want to know when as I will surely make it to her next NYC gig. Terrific performance breathing new life into "old" classics and getting you interested in the new material.
This past Monday KT (Kate) Tunstall played an intimate club that started out as a Polish dance hall in the twenties. This club, Irving Plaza, has now been a great venue for music for over thirty-five years. Kate did not disappoint. Her opener, Colin Youngblood, was a solo act on keyboards doing a cross between soul and new age music. He was good. Then Kate came on at 9pm eager to please. She was funny, talkative and happy to be back on the road with a new album "Kin". KT said she moved from Scotland to America when her stepfather died two years ago. Her new home is in Venice Beach, California and you can hear some Los Angeles influence in her new work. Her band was good. Keyboards, drums and bass and their backup vocals worked well. KT is as always very cute, in shape, and a musical powerhouse. She let the band take a break at one point and used a foot operated digital recorder to record hand claps, percussion off the body of her guitar and the audience singing certain phrases behind her guitar playing and singing to make for some really good music. She even had the audience turn on their cell phone flashlights and wave them side to side for a great visual effect. In short, Kate is an amazing singer, songwriter, musician and performer and has been since her debut album, Eye To The Telescope, came out in 2004 and one of its hit singles, Suddenly I See, was used in the title credits at the opening of the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada". If you haven't seen KT Tunstall, buy a ticket when she plays your town. You'll love this show!
KT is an amazing musician. I was pleased to see that she had no supporting guitarist. I see too many "musicians" who throw on a guitar as a stage prop, and let the real guitarist do the work. She really plays, plays incredibly well, and does a beautiful job recreating the songs the way they sound in your mind. She does a song or two as the only musician on stage, and mesmerizes the crowd with her talent. She is a storyteller and has a funny sense of humor. Don't hesitate if you have the chance to see her.
I've been a fan of KT since her first album. She is a great performer, she talks to the audience and includes audience participation in her shows.
K.T. Tunstall is a great songwriter and a phenomal performer who can do so much with her voice that the only way to really appreciate her incredible talent is to see her live. She is a groundbreaking and important artist as well because of her advancement of the "looping" technique that she perfected with her hit "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree". This is the same technique that Ed Sheeran has used to such great effect. We are lucky to get to see an artist of this talent and magnitude in such an intimate setting. Would see her again anytime she plays a small venue as this is really the only way to appreciate her talent.
KT Tunstall was GREAT! She appeals to a diverse age range. Her old songs like Black Horse and the Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See are fantastic and her new ones like Maybe It's A Good Thing and It Took Me So Long To Get Here But Here I AM are rockin as well.She is an original talent, there is none out there that has her abilities. She can write her own songs, rock it out, has her own unique style and pulls it all off to produce a wonderful show. We love her!! We took our 15 year old and he loved her too! We would love to see her at the Mann Center in Philadelphia!!

KT Tunstall is so musically talented and rocked all of her songs! I also completely enjoyed her stories and personality. Would definitely see her again!
This was the first time I saw KT live and I was not disappointed. She is an amazing live performer. I loved how she talked to the crowd, shared experiences and stories about the songs, and made the whole evening fun. I knew she was good live, but I was still surprised by how good the music and her voice where. She had a couple mishaps with her guitar, but her roadie was able to fix it very quickly, and her bassist covered for her really well. I would definitely recommend this to anybody that likes live music.

KT Tunstall is an amazing performance artist. She's funny upbeat and loves to engage with the crowd. This was my second time seeing her in Boston and I actually felt bad that she wasn't able to command a larger audience since she is immensely talented. This venue was amazing! I've never been there before but the building was absolutely beautiful. There was lots of interesting and intimate seating areas that were dimly lit and well decorated for other seating options. There was also a raised platform right in front of the stage which means I was able to see which is a rarity for me since of my short stature! The bathrooms were decent for a club. Parking was very close by and this was a very short walk. I would definitely attend another show at this venue and of course love to see KT for a third time!

Her new rock music really got me! And of course "other side of the world" is so beautiful alive.
Simply put, KT is an amazingly gifted artist that you need to see live! She easily connects with her fans and the joy she has in playing is truly infectious. All of that AND she is a badass on the guitar. This was my 5th time seeing her and she always blows me away.
This girl came to play! Right out of gate, she was rockin out! I love the way she interacts with her audience. I'm so glad she's back. Second time my daughter and I have seen her. The shows just get better. Sorry to see there was time constraints on her, but she made the show memorable just the same!

K T was awesome. She sounded great, personable, funny, charming, engaging, great band. My husband didn't know her music but loved the shoe ax much as I did.
