KT Tunstall Tickets

The concert started at 9:00pm. As of 11:00pm, KT Tunstall had still not started to play. I paid to see KT Tunstall, yet it went too late so I didn't see her which disappointed me greatly.

I got these tickets as a whim- this was when KT was in between her first CD and the release of her second CD. One of the perks of purchasing the a ticket thru Ticketmaster, was that you could get a digital download of her second CD. She was still relatively new (to me, at least) and I, like everyone else, was hooked on her hit, "Big Black Horse and a Cherry Tree." Even in the size of venue she was in, it was a very intimite evening. It was her and about five other players (at most) during the evening, and for about half the evening, it was just her on stage. She had an oriental rug they all played from and the acoustics are always amazing in the State. Even when speaking, KT just has a way with the audience and she played with us and chatted and introduced the songs with warmth and joy, like someone happily showing off their children. Sometimes I could hear the audience singing a long with her, which, I have to admit, I did too for the songs I knew. It just kind of felt like you were sitting in your friends (really big) house and they threw together an impromptu jam session. She played basically every song from both her CDs and a few cover songs. KT's voice was amazing-I couldn't have been happier with my experience (unless I was closer - I got a seat in the balcony precenium on the right side of stage about 3 rows back). I guess I wasn't expecting much, but KT blew me away! If she hasn't lost her luster with her years in the biz, she's going to be a great entertainer for years to come that will be just as good in concert as she is on her CDs. I would highly recommend anyone who enjoys her recordings to experience her live! :)
