  • Krs one

by Mannydawerm on 1/21/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

The show was awesome until KRS one came out did one song then started doing poetry nobody wanted to hear poetry the people wanted him to perform so people started leaving besides that I loved the show

  • The overall show/concert was Epic

by LaydBack on 1/20/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

KRS-1 always start off popping however after about 10 minutes of jamming he starts with his philosophy which always empties the venue. Stop making him the headliner, hell Chubb Rock/Big Daddy Kane could have stayed on stage longer for all of that

  • Disappointed

by Shsy on 1/18/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

I been to better shows I’m a diehard fan so I will continue to come… KRS did not play any of his classic songs 🥲 everything seem rushed

  • Partied all night

I only sat down close to the end of the show for a few seconds because I was partying all night long I'm an old school hip hop lover and this was an amazing experience to see all of these pioneer on one stage .

  • Old School Good Memories

by Nick on 1/18/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was like being in high school when music meant something the artist cared they engaged with the audience it was one night and many years of greatness . A lot of the artist after all these years still rocking like it was yesterday it doesn’t even feel like the years went so quickly and it was peaceful . No missed steps when it came to the music the message the art . Thank you for all the years Hip Hop Originals

  • Disappointed

by Jax on 1/18/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 2 out of 5

Pros: The staff was helpful and concessions were reasonably priced. Cons: The concert started over an hour late. There were too many acts and some artists weren’t necessary to have. People were smoking weed, cigarettes, and vaping

  • There is not a bad seat in the house but...

by Char on 1/18/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

Boardwalk Hall is great! There is not a bad seat in the house but... the smoking for this non- smoker was ridiculous!! Non stop the entire concert.

Compared to previous shows I’ve been to this was by far the worst. A lot of acts for a small amount of time with a late start and early finish. Please do better

  • Change the lineup

by Jae on 1/17/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

In my opinion Krs one did not deliver! He did not do any of his hits which is what we paid to see. He had a bunch of young guys on stage rapping because he is “the teacher “ or whatever they were doing. At this point I don’t feel like he needs to close out the show. Put him on in the middle of the show because he definitely doesn’t deserve the headlining spot anymore

  • Do what we came to see

by Carter on 1/17/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 2 out of 5

Went to the concert with my man to celebrate his bday and while all the acts were entertaining including Freeway surprised performance and the Juice Crew performed The Symphony, KRS-One sucked. We were expected more out of him as an MC. He didn’t performed the classics, South Bronx, The Bridge is Over, Duck Down and My Philosophy was lack luster at the end. He did some “poetry” freestyle but not the classic Poetry from the Criminal Minded album. As a Bronx native not listening to The Bridge is Over live was a total disappointment. We wished he focused on the classics and not the theatrical of new artists that no one knew. While we support new upcoming artists, they should’ve opened the show instead of the DJ playing hip-hop classics. Even Flavor Flav was better and that says a lot. Rob Base, MC Lyte, Master Ace, Craig G, Chubb Rock, DJ Kool killed it, the Furious 5 (no words enough to explain the excitement), Fatman Scoop was dope and Big Daddy Kane performed well. All of these artists gave the crowd what we came to see. KRS-One: not so much. If the All-Star show is going to be announced for next year….please let KRS-One to stick to the classics. As a couple that appreciated the sound of music and has a deep love for hip-hop, not experiencing these classic records was beyond disappointment. Prepare the next show accordingly and we’ll see y’all then. PEACE!

  • This was the best one

by Cornbread on 1/17/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Flavor flav bringing out Chuck D was the highlight of the show for me. The show kept moving without an intermission or dead period, I have been attending the show almost every year including the shows at the Dell, they really got it right this time. It was full of energy and nonstop entertainment.

  • KRS-One should have stayed home

by Lorenzo on 1/17/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the concert was great all of the performers were good except KRS-One who was horrible it was a pleasure to see MC Lyte and Chubb Rock who have always enjoyed their music. Could have done without including KRS-One in the show he was just that bad and is set and dances with totally disorganized along with him trying to get up and speak and people were walking out because he was not making any sense and sounded horrible as well
