KRS One bringing more real hip-hop to Ma. Ridiculous freestyles. Opening acts were sub-par.
KRS has great stage presence. He is a true MC. He preformed a nice mix of old and new stuff. A few time during the show break dancers came on stage. Wow they were really talented. Never leaving the crowd with a dull moment KRS rocked the house. We loved the show and would recommend it to any one familiar or not with KRS-ONE.
This was my first time seeing KRS-ONE Live. I absolutely loved the show.
KRS-One made the event personal, inspirational, spiritual, nostalgic, energetic, empowering, and everything in between. As to be expected, everything about the event was hip hop. The tickets were inexpensive. The opening acts were local. He walked on the stage to James Brown. He had break dancers and deejaying represented. He frequently demonstrated the difference between hip hop and rapping, as well as the difference between emceeing and rapping through the use of free-styling, and also rapping over classical music as well as sounds from nature. KRS-One was sure to do all his old school hits, but mixed them well in a mash-up style so that the audience could learn the hook and participate even if they didn't come in with previous knowledge of his music. KRS-One gave ample opportunity for autographs throughout the show, including beginning it by throwing a bunch out to the crowd. I don't think anyone left without one who wanted an autograph. 30 People were able to meet Tha Teacha himself by donating to his charity, "The Temple of Hip Hop." Its requested donation $20, but any donation was accepted (again, very hip hop). KRS-One spent time with these people and networked, sincerely engaged in "doin' the work." KRS-One knows how to keep it real!
3 words.. Off the chain!! Show was complete, he played old skool bangas, spit off the top... made me feel good and motivated! oo yea had some peeps that could dance too... very athletic, rock on!!
KRS1 was excellent. He has proven that he still has his God given talent:)
I just came from the Krs-One show @ The Wilbur Theater. The show started on time 8:00pm. The first opening act had a good performance, although I wasn't feeling the lyrical content, The second act didn't work for the audience at all! They played live instruments, but they just didn't fit in with a Krs-One show, maybe Odd Future. The third act was G-Riot...by that time everyone wanted to see KRS, and his performance wasn't that great. Finally @ around 9:20 Dj Chubby Chub takes the stage and goes into some James Brown breakbeats...you already know KRS is in the building. Soon as KRS and his dancers came out, the audience immediately gets hype. KRS rocked till 11:00 and offered VIP passes for just $20 to support The Temple of Hip-Hop. KRS is what Hip-Hop is all about bottom line! Too be honest I was never the biggest KRS fan, but I gotta give it up the man puts on a good show!
HAD A BLAST WASN'T TOO CROWED AND HE PREACHED.....
KRS-One is an incredible performer. I saw him live for the first time when he came on stage at a Nas concert. I was blown away and couldn't wait until he came back to town. This is the best show I have ever attended. He is charismatic, smart, energetic and positive. Great vibes.
Amazing. Probably the best show I have ever seen. Positive, energetic and unforgetable.
KRS-One still can put on a show. Always inspiring and always entertaining.
This was the realist concert! KRS-One tore up the house! This is by far the best hip hop concert I have ever gone to, and there is no comparison!
