The vocal could barely be heard but not understood. No play I have been to has been satisfactory in the sound department. The play would get 4 stars but the Saenger would get 0 stars.
This was by far my favorite play I’ve seen my and boyfriend’s too!! Hope it comes back to the Saenger again!! We both smiled the entire time
I'm not into musicals that much I went with my daughter who is a theater major in college. I loved Kinky Boots we had excellent seats, the cast was amazing and I was entertained for the entire show. I'm happy that I went to see Kinky Boots and I would see it again !!
One of the best broadway shows I have seen. The acting was phenomenal! Show was hysterical and so well done.

Truly loved it. Lauren was so personable I found my eyes on her. Charles did a fa-nam job. Lola was amazing. The 2 blonde drag queens knocked it out the park. Only thing I was missing, since I had seen the movie was the part when Lola sang "these boots are made for walking."
You leave the theatre with a “feel good” feeling.... actors were very talented and kept you wanting more ! Girls gotta have fun and bring on the shoes !
I knew I would laugh, but I did not expect to cry. I really didn't know what to expect other than a few drag queens in long red boots. I love a good drag show so I was excited to see this. What surprised me is the overall beautiful message this show conveyed. There were about 3 sceens where I just lost it. Everyone in the LGBT community has their own story because we've all been through some tough things. Kinky Boots made me reflect on what I have already been through and what the people in our community go through every day. EVERYONE needs to see this, especially straight people. Thank you for telling a portion of our story and for making us laugh, cry, reflect, and be proud along the way.
Went with family from out of town. They and we loved Saenger theater. Costuming in this show was impressive. One improvement: acoustics. Don’t know if this for Saenger theater or sound production people. Could not hear significant lyrics that would have been beneficial to understanding the characters.
Energetic, professionally executed performance with a great message in the end! Totally enjoyable.
Great showing of acceptance and how one person can make a difference
The dancers were amazing! The songs were catchy and well done. It’s a great Broadway show. So glad I went.
Going in to the show I had no idea what it was about but just a few minutes in I was completely engrossed! I’ll be humming some of these songs for months to come!
It was entertaining but not a favorite like “Jersey Boys” or “Come From Away”.
Story line was great, singing was great, dancing and showmanship was on par. Kinky boots was so funny. Last few minutes of show everyone was on their feet dancing and clapping. Should have ran a few more days. I really loved the show.
It was an amazing performance! My husband and I enjoyed it throughly. My husband needed to attend the show as an assignment for his English class so we didn’t go with high expectations. But, once we got there it was mind blowing it truly was an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely see again if it comes back into town.
I took my mom to see it. She fell in love with Billy Porter is a small scene from the play on the Tony Awards a whole ago, so when it came to N.O. I snapped up tickets. I didn't remenber anything about the story and was pleasantly surprised but the message of respect, self love and how acceptance of others leads to helping YOU heal. It is a very uplifting positive show and perfect to see during PRIDE month, even as 2 heteros. Lol. It's funny and thought provoking. It will jerk your tears in some parts but warm your heart easily. We really enjoyed it.
With my Sister Wanda Bestie Tiffanie & Lene myself we had a blast watching & being a part of the jubilant audience enjoying Kinky Boots! From beginning to the end it captivated us the cast the songs the dancing the wit five star performance!..Thank you Kinky Boots for a wonderful nite!..

My broadway living teenage daughter and o caught the show in NOLA while traveling and it was amazing! Great story and choreography. Lola was hands down the best character I’ve ever seen in a show ever. Slayed it! The Saenger theater is also gorgeous inside!
