Everything I could hope for in a Broadway show. Great music and dancing, talented performers, beautiful costumes, plenty of drag queens and an uplifting, positive story. I don't go to see shows on Broadway very often, so when I do, I hope to see all of the above and I was definitely not disappointed! I loved the show.
This was a great production. Fantastic performers and stellar music. The energy was high throughout. Storyline is a bit predictable, but still lots of fun.
Kinky Boots is the theatrical experience that one hopes to have when planning a night on Broadway. You are overwhelmed at the talent, the music, the dancing and the whole production. It is the kind of rare theatre that you leave thinking I could see it again tomorrow night. The entire cast was. great, but Billy Porter was incredible. I saw four shows in my short visit to New York and without a doubt, Kinky Boots was the highlight. I would recommend it to anyone. It is indeed Kinky, but delightful.
It was just fabulous! The leads had amazing voices, shared their vulnerability of the characters and we loved all the dancers. MUSIC WAS GREAT! NOT TO BE MISSED! :) ♡

What a treat Kinky Boots was!! Delightfully funny, superb acting and outrageous costumes. Billy Porter as Lola was spectacular. His/her facial expressions had me laughing until I cried!! There is also a great message in the play - acceptance and love towards others no matter what their lifestyle choices are. Highly recommend this feel good Broadway show!!!
this show was really terrific. The lead, Billy Porter, was amazing and the whole was talented and energetic.
Weakest part of the show first - the performance by Andy Kelso as Charlie Price was sadly unconvincing. More pub singer than Broadway performer. Perhaps he had an off day, because his most genuine, likeable and convincing scene was the fundraising bit at the end ;-/ The rest of the cast were super. Convincing and inspiring performance by Billy Porter as Lola (aka Steve from Clacton) and a fabulous comic performance by Jeanna de Waal as Lauren. Also worthy of a fabulous darling review were the "girls" or Lola's Angels. As my fiancé noted, it's disappointing when the guys on stage have better legs than the girls. Super production with some wow costumes, and of course, fabulous kinky boots. Final praise goes to the creative team of Mitchel, Lauper and Fierstein. Not surprised by their accolades - well deserved.
It was electric and scintillating. Powerful vocals and fabulous costumes. An amazing time was had by everyone.
My spouse and I went last minute and took our 15 year old goddaughter. The show was phenomenal! We all highly recommend it!
None of us knew what to expect, we were all blown away with the singing, music, and energy of the actors and actresses.
Unforgettable, vivid, kind and highly recommended to see.

this was a delightful play with nice underlying plot. We were so lucky to have such a great cast. They are spot on. I want those boots!!

This was one of the best plays I've seen. The music was wonderful and the acting was superb. I laughed, I cried, I was truly blown away by this experience.
If someone gave me a list of five Broadway shows they were contemplating seeing, I would put Kinky Boots at the bottom. There was maybe one good song in the whole show. Granted, there were some funny "laugh out loud" moments, but not enough to make me recommend the show to a friend. I don't know if it's because I didn't see the show with the original cast but the actor who played Charlie had a terrible voice. Also, there were about two solid dancers and all of the others were awful; it looked as if some of them had never done a show before. The dancers are supposed to engage the crowd and I just didn't feel the energy.
Fun / Insprational / Funny / Playful / Great Story / Nice Message / Laughed / Cried / was a wonderful production ---> Loved it!!!!!!
