King George on Tour
The soulful vocals and jazzy rhythm of the R&B southern soul singer and songwriter King George are taking him on a whirlwind trip to the top of the blues scene. Seemingly coming out of nowhere, he rose to prominence quickly in 2022, ending the year as one of the headliners of the famous Blues Is Alright Tour.
His 2022 hit single "Keep On Rollin" has more than 10 million streams on Spotify and millions of views on YouTube. And he's just getting started. His emotional lyrics and swaggering delivery are eclipsing the current roster of southern Blues artists in a swift way.
King George Live in Concert
King George grew up in Hampton, Virginia, and now lives in Hopkin, South Carolina.
He debuted in 2020 with the single "Leave & Party" and followed with five more singles that year, including the popular songs "Don't Let Me Be Blind" and "Love Song."
He gained notoriety with the 2022 release of his hit single "Keep On Rollin" and is expected to release his first album Juke Joint 2, in early 2023.
The concert was awesome. Me n my husband had a good time.
The show was excellent. It ended too early at 10:30pm , next time go to 11pm. Also let Calvin Richardson the last act, last at least 45mins. To an hour. I didn’t hear my favorite songs only one. He had what 20 to 30 mins n I’m being nice. For the reception before the show please add crab dip not to salty to the menu with crackers.
Every seat in the building was good. Sound system was also good. Just had a wonderful time.
Great line up for this show. I thoroughly enjoyed all the artists. Lenny Williams still got it. Pokie Bear was so entertaining. King George is so impressive. Such a talented young artist. He will be relevant for a long time.
Best concert ever and worth the price! The performers kept everyone engaged and you enjoyed seeing everyone happy, singing and dancing. Didn't even feel like 4 hour show.
First time to an advertised Blues Festival....I liked it !!! but sound system a little too loud for venue and it blocked out some of the singers voices...was not very personable as each performer basically did their set without ANY fanfare..it was like we got to get in 5 performers so time for chit chat or explanation about why a particular song came about...would of been nice to have a female performer or 2 on show in replacement of first 2 acts on this show. All in All I'd come back !!!
My man and I had an amazing time. I definitely will go to another one ❤️❤️
I really enjoyed the entire show. All six different artists were wonderful. There was never a dull moment. The crowd was enthusiastic and ready to party. And party we did. Can't wait for next year's show. But can't see how performances can top those of this year.
Great show will be going to see all the groups again
It was the most live, exciting concert I've ever experience. From beginning to end it was awesome. Can't wait until next year.
My aunt and I had a wonderful time They did their thing I got my money’s worth
The concert as a whole was good. I really enjoyed Pokey Bear; he turned out the show. I love King George’s songs but the music was TOO loud. The band was drowning him out and you could hardly hear him. He should have used a soundtrack so he could really be heard. But all in all I had a great time and I would love to hear them all again!!!!
Really enjoyed the entire show. All 6 Artists were phenomenal.
One of the best experiences I’ve ever witnessed before. All of the performers were good, but I think king George stood out.
King George should have closed, but the show was still awesome!
Per usual the event was very nice. All the artist did a wonderful job performing. Only issue I have is that place is old but well kept. The chairs can be updated to accommodate people of size.
I think the venue should be different with this line up a lot of dancing was happening and those seats were not for that with so many standing up and walking back and forth down your row. And the way they run through their songs set up better.
The atmosphere was grand!!! The show started...ON TIME!!! The performers were spectacular...everyone of them did their thang!!!💯💯💪 Great representation of what a blues show is supposed to be like!!! I can't wait till the next one!!!
Amazing show I laughed, I danced but most of all me and my girls had a hell of a time thank you all for your amazing performances!!
My expectation of a Blues Concert was too high, because most of the artists were more R&B. I didn't recognize King George, but he did sound like King George :-). He also needs someone to give him Choreography lessons. Walking around the state flinging a towel is not very creative.! I love Lenny Williams (pardon the pun). Pokey Bear (Loves his name (he uses "Pokey Bear"in every song and grinding), not much more to his act. The people in the audience were very lively, so it was OK! The sound mixer needs to be fired, it would have been less noisy and more enjoyable without the loud bass.
