Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom.
The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world. James also starred in, and executive produced The Crew, a sitcom set in the world of NASCAR and is currently developing a single camera comedy (both for Netflix).
James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. Kevin James and Ray Romano executive produced and starred in the HBO Sports Special Making the Cut: The Road to Pebble Beach; a documentary about the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf Tournament that was nominated for a Sports Emmy. His second comedy special Never Don't Give Up premiered on Netflix to critical acclaim.
James was the producer, co-writer, and star of the hit comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1 & 2, Zookeeper, and Here Comes The Boom. James made his feature film debut in Columbia Pictures' Hitch starring opposite Will Smith, and starred alongside Adam Sandler in Pixels, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and Hubie Halloween. He starred in the feature True Memoirs of an International Assassin for Netflix, the independent action thriller Becky, and starred in and produced Home Team for Netflix.

Not one of his best shows, but was well worth it. Would definitely recommend.
Kevin James did not disappoint, that's for sure. I love that he is so freaking funny without having to be nasty or swear. Just great belly-laughing materials. I still chuckle thinking about some of the bits. I would absolutely go again, but try to sit closer so I can see his facial expressions, which are priceless.
Oh Wow, I have not laughed this much in so long. I was literally crying of laughter. I'd watch him again in a heartbeat.
While I would have prefered to drive to Fort Worth rather than Dallas...when I get in there, I am quickly reminded that the Majestic really is a perfect venue for Comedians - really not a bad seat in the house. GREAT opening act and Karen James was absolutely NO disappointment. We have waited some time for him to hit the stand up tour and he was well worth the wait. I find it personally annoying when you have to deal with a heckler in the house however, Kevin handled himself VERY well ! FABULOUS SHOW ! Rating it 5 stars with 5 stars meaning...I had no eyeliner left at the end of the evening!
I'm a big King of Queens fan and have laughed out loud at Kevin James' standup from Comedy Central. He was funny, but it could have been better. Some of the same jokes I've heard before. He did well handling the knuckleheads in the crowd who kept yelling out at him. Overall, I'm glad I can say I went to see him, but for the high price, probably wouldn't pay the same to do it again.
I went to one of his shows a few years ago, me and my friends were talking and laughing about it for MONTHS! We're attending his April 11th show which is sure to sell out in no time. Got AWESOME seats thru pick your own seats. DON'T MISS THIS SHOW!
