KENNY LOGGINS IN CONCERT:
Soft rock superstar Kenny Loggins may be known as the "King of the Movie Soundtrack" for his legendary film contributions during the '80s, but he performs today like he's still climbing the heap — full of energy and vitality. Like good cinema, Loggins' familiar croon has the power to move fans through a range of emotions, a skill he employs expertly in his career-spanning concerts. With recent forays into country and children's music, Loggins continues to breathe new life into his music, underscoring a vitality that will follow him on the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
A maestro of soft rock, Everett, WA-born, California-raised Kenny Loggins came up in the Southern California high school rock scene. He got his start writing songs for other local bands, eventually forming his own group Loggins and Messina. As the duo's success waxed in the late ‘70s, they were rivaled only by Hall and Oates in critical accolades, fan popularity, and commercial performance. By the early '80s Loggins grew into his own as a solo artist and producer with hits like "What a Fool Believes" and "This is It." Loggins also became a go-to artist for soundtracks, most famously for "I'm Alright" in Caddyshack, the title song for Footloose, and "Danger Zone" and "Playing With the Boys" in Top Gun. The singer-songwriter stayed busy in the following years, releasing a handful of albums of children’s music in addition to soft rock.

In this, Kenny Loggin's final concert live tour, his humanity and compassion shines on. His voice was strong, his vocals were clear and beautiful, the song selection was spot on, and his message was poignant---he will carry us in his heart, as we carry him in ours, FOREVER!! A class act all the way.
It truly was a magical night - two for the price of one at Thunder Valley’s fabulous new Venue! Richard Marx, a favorite of ours, was far more than an opening act. He played for over an hour and was as good as ever. And at 75 Kenny Loggins was amazing! His voice still sounds like he’s 40!! Great band and a touching duet with Marx. Hit many of our favorites from his long career. A perfect night!

Excellent show. Both Richard Marx and Kenny Loggins sounded great. I wish Kenny Loggins would have played "Don't fight it", I think Richard Marx could've pulled it off, but be some copywriting stuff. Anyway, excellent.
Over the years I have seen Kenny Loggins in concert over 25 times since 1979 I Love KENNY. I am so glad I was able to attend the 'This is It' tour because this is it... "Go See him!"
He is my favorite artist of all time. It is sad that he is retiring but a well deserved retirement. I would love to see one more time
Kenny’s farewell concert was the best concert I’ve seen yet. His voice was perfect and the band was spot on. I’m going to miss seeing Kenny in person, but wish him a wonderful retirement filled with much happiness and good health.
Kenny Loggins has the most beautiful voice in music . He still hits all the high notes and sings beautifully. His band is terrific too! It was an Epic concert! I saw him two nights in a row. Friday 10/13/23 at the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, Ca and Saturday 10/14/23 at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Ca. I sure will miss seeing him live ! Love you Kenny !!
Tickets easily accessible, Ticketmaster gave me full easy instructions on obtaining my tickets day of the concert . Ticketmaster also reminded me my event was coming soon and gave me options to sell the tickets if I couldn’t go . Concert was awesome .
Richard Marx and Kenny Loggins still have great voices. Kenny Loggins really rocked it. Great show!
This was epic and although we have all aged, Kenny's voice is timeless. What a fun concert with Richard Marx as the opening act - both performances were amazing.
Kenny Loggins is like family to us. We grew up listening to him. He brings me back to those special moments spent with my Mom. Thank you for all the wonderful years, you are truly special. I truly hope “This isn’t it”! Your voice is still as impeccable as it always has been! Here’s to Kenny 🥂
The show was magnificent. My first Kenny Loggins show was in 1982 and there were at least 8 more throughout the years since. He never disappoints. From "Keep the Fire"to "Return to Pooh Corner", to a special song for Cody (The One That Got Away😪) and an encore finale of "Forever", it was non stop entertainment. Kenny is a natural born storyteller and he kept the crowd involved from beginning to end. Hard to believe he's almost 76 and can still hit the high note. I was equally impressed with Richard Marx. (They co-wrote and performed "The One That Got Away".) It makes me sad that he's retiring, but I'm happy for him and his family.
Kenny Loggins was unbelievable. To experience his last show was so incredible. The venue at thunder Valley was very very good. We had seats that were very high up, but felt like we didn’t miss a thing. The sound system was incredible in the video screens made you feel like you were 10 feet from the stage best concert ever. Thanks to everyone who made this concert happen, and of course, thank you to Kenny Loggins for 50 years of unbelievable music 💖
This was our 3rd time seeing Kenny Loggins, it was one of the best. .Richard Marks was an excellent choice to warm up the us up for his old friend. It was evident that Kenny was no longer that guy that would run up and down the isles, but that did not diminish the show by any means. He sang most of his familiar songs and told stories that we all anxiously wanted to hear, he made us feel like old friends. Our children were raised on Kenny’s songs, in fact my daughter now 43 asked me to record it for her if he played it. The duet between Kenny and Mark showed their great affection and friendship for each other. For Me this was one of the best concerts I have been too. Kenny really sang his heart out for us. Sorry his touring is coming to an end, I wish we could see his last show at the Mountain Winery!
I am not much of a concert goer. I think I have been to 5 other concerts over 40+ years. I definitely knew of Kenny Loggins work and had been happily listening to him for decades but had never been interested in attending a concert. My friend really wanted to see Richard Marx, she is a big fan of his and has attended many of his concerts over the years. I was surprised that Marx was an entertainer as well as a musician. He was engaging and humorous. Loggins was equally engaging and I enjoyed some of the stories he shared from his long history of writing/recording/performing. Both brought enthusiasm and energy to their performances. Gotta say I kinda questioned Loggins encore set. He got everyone riled up with Footloose and Danger Zone, 3000 amped up senior citizens is an amazing thing. He calmed that wild energy with his last song Forever. At 75 he can still captivate an audience and create whatever mood he wants in a venue. Seeing all this first hand makes me appreciate the wisdom of that encore set. Riling up that crowd and then unleashing them back into the casino would have been a chaotic tornado of geriatric energy. Giving everyone a chance to settle was strategically brilliant and I am sure much appreciated by the casino. Wish I would have gotten myself to a Kenny Loggins concert years ago. Memories are made or relived, younger years revisited, happiness is shared through generations. The man creates such magic for his audience.
I have followed Kenny Loggins since he was with Loggins and Messina. He's a great showman and entertainer.
Thunder Valley is a small venue, seats less than 5,000. Over the top performance by Kenny and crew!!!
