KENNY LOGGINS IN CONCERT:
Soft rock superstar Kenny Loggins may be known as the "King of the Movie Soundtrack" for his legendary film contributions during the '80s, but he performs today like he's still climbing the heap — full of energy and vitality. Like good cinema, Loggins' familiar croon has the power to move fans through a range of emotions, a skill he employs expertly in his career-spanning concerts. With recent forays into country and children's music, Loggins continues to breathe new life into his music, underscoring a vitality that will follow him on the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
A maestro of soft rock, Everett, WA-born, California-raised Kenny Loggins came up in the Southern California high school rock scene. He got his start writing songs for other local bands, eventually forming his own group Loggins and Messina. As the duo's success waxed in the late ‘70s, they were rivaled only by Hall and Oates in critical accolades, fan popularity, and commercial performance. By the early '80s Loggins grew into his own as a solo artist and producer with hits like "What a Fool Believes" and "This is It." Loggins also became a go-to artist for soundtracks, most famously for "I'm Alright" in Caddyshack, the title song for Footloose, and "Danger Zone" and "Playing With the Boys" in Top Gun. The singer-songwriter stayed busy in the following years, releasing a handful of albums of children’s music in addition to soft rock.

Kenny Loggins was fantastic sounds wonderful and had superb musicians in his band. He is so personable love the stories between songs. We will miss him touring but so glad I got to see him twice this year. YouTube theater is a perfect venue just wish parking wasn’t so expensive
A fantastic Friday evening with Kenny Loggins. He sounded as good as he ever has.
Kenny has ALWAYS been brilliant. Been seeing him for a couple of decades now. Highlight for me this time around? Was recording him singing Pooh corner as that was the song I would sing to put my daughter to sleep. She’s 30 now and didn’t realize that when she was here visiting, she was singing it with her 8 month old son. 🥰
This was my first time at the YouTube Theater and it was beautiful. Parking and entrance are easy to navigate, and the seating is comfortable. Kenny Loggins did not disappoint! He still brought it and left it all on the stage singing both his hits and a couple of lesser known songs. He sounded great, his band was magnificent and the sound in the theater was perfect. Yacht Rock Review opened the show, and they too sounded awesome. Great night of music all around. Will definitely come back to this theater for future events.
A little rocky at first, but by the end Kenny sounded like his regular self. So glad I attended this concert.
Kenny’s performance was amazing! He was up front, personable and informative! The videos and stories he told enhanced the experience!
Great sound, performance, visuals, seats. Kenny's voice is still stellar and his band was top notch. He told great stories and sang his heart out. Loved the concert, However....... The extra $ paid for the VIP experience was a joke. Staff a the theater could not direct us to the VIP entrance, then told us the doors did not open until 7 when the VIP directions indicated to be there at 5 PM.......even when we showed them the print out....
Great concert , liked his conversation with the crowd . Friendly , helpful staff at the venue . First time seeing him live. Opening group also very good !
Great concert and even the Yacht Rock Band 🎸 was awesome prior to Kenny Loggins concert
While he is saying this is his "goodbye"tour, I would recommend seeing him if you get the chance. He is not only a very talented musician, but he was also an entertaining story teller. He would share inside stories of several of the songs that he wrote with Michael McDonald. My wife and I both found his stories to be informative and interesting.
Being a product of the 80's, I've known his music from the movies, but when you dive deeper into his catalog you find out there are so many amazing songs that you heard, but didn't really know they were his. Being his "Farewell"tour, I had to go and I was not disappointed. So many heartfelt stories about the songs he performed. The YouTube theater is awesome as the sound was amazing!
The Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx concert did not disappoint! The can both still sing amazing and had great stage presence as well as rapport with the audience! The venue was beautiful and the evening spent for my birthday was just the best!
Kenny Loggins sounded amazing and personalized the event by telling stories I’d never heard before. It was a great way to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday!
I get a little nervous moving in large crowds, but this Venue was easy to get in and out. escalator for those in the balcony helped make the flow of fans smooth. Kenny Loggins gave a great performance along with Richard Marx. This was a great place for a concert!
This show was about perfect. Heard every song, except one, but voice was great. Richard Marx was excellent as well. Only song missing was "Don't fight it", which my wife and I thought could've been pulled with Richard Marx. Maybe some copywriting issues. Anyway, if you're on the fence on this one, definitely go.
I've been a fan of Kenny Loggins since forever, and I was SO PLEASED he performed all his hits THE WAY I REMEMBER HEARING/LISTENING TO THEM....HE DIDN'T VEER OFF TO "CHANGE THE MELODY, WHICH I HATE WHEN PERFORMERS DO THAT". Everyone there was able to sing along to each of his songs, and WE ALL DID!! Impressed that his voice hasn't changed...it's still as sweet as always. His presence on stage was perfect....his chatting to the audience prior to singing each song, explaining details about how the songs "came about"was indeed welcomed. This was one of the best concerts I've attended.
First did not realize the Venue was finished and thought we would be outside. What a wonderful surprise! Venue is beautiful, wonderful sound, seems all seats are good. The show was amazing. Last year bad sound outside but didn't want to miss last concert with Kenny. Long time fan. Only negative was having to walk through thick smoke in casino. But looking forward to going back.
Both Kenny & Richard put on an incredible show. I enjoyed how they both talked about life experiences inbetween songs when they played solo and when they shared their friendship together. Kenny's voice was excellent and will be missed.
I've been a Kenny Loggins fan since the 70's and have seen him a few times in outside venues. he's always been an amazing singer and guitar player and always has top-notch musicians in the various bands he's performed with through the years. it was very emotional knowing this is his last tour, but understanding as his songs are extremely difficult to sing. He is a humble and kind genius and I'm sure he will continue to do music in the the studio and produce albums.
I really enjoyed Kenny Loggins and Richard Marx concert. This was my 5th time seeing Kenny and 1st for Richard. The only wish is more time so Kenny could sing more of his hits and wish Richard would have sung Hazard, my favorite of his songs. I enjoyed the stories each shared about their careers. The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino and Resort was very nice, great acoustics, and comfortable seating. The only draw back was having to walk through the smoke filled casino to get to the Venue, but it is a casino. I am so lucky I get to see Kenny one more time at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Nov. 2023, his last show. I am sure it will be his best.
