Went on Friday and watched Tiger walk the course! Had a great time hanging out and enjoying some of the Bridgestone fanfare and competition. Can't wait to go again next year!
this is the third year we have gone, and I took my mother and sister to it. we all loved the whole day. the only real bad thing was at 2:30pm we went to get something to eat and the stand was out of EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! that is so wrong. you won't allow us to bring anything in and then you can't accommedate the people there, thats just not right.
Went to the 2nd round of the Bridgestone Invitational on Friday. Great time despite mostly overcast skies and light rain much of the day. Got to see Tiger Woods flirting with shooting a 59 and saw many other favorites throughout the day.
The course was in fabulous shape. People were friendly and the players are talented beyond belief. Great job to the volunteers as well.
The public parking was awful. Poor signage and the lot was several miles from the course. We arrived near the course at 9:00 am --Looking forward to the event. The public parking was at the Goodyear blimp hangar and too far away. The signage/directions were difficult to find. We paid the $5. for the public parking---went through security--it was a joke-- and boarded the old school buses for the course. By 9:45 we were near the second phase of security and the main gate. I do not think the volunteers were very cordial. I will not attend again. At one time I planned to volunteer and work the event--no longer will I consider that. I do not wish to be a part of this event.
We went on Friday. Firestone is a wonderful venue for watching a golf tournament. The crowd is golf savvy, the course is fun to walk, and the players are among the best in the world. There are at least five good viewing spots per hole.
We went on Friday and had a great time. The crowd was not too large so we could easily move around the course. Saw most of the players we were looking for enjoyed watching some players who we were not familiar with. Only negative was the missing sign on 77 South from Akron and we missed the exit. I thought the web site directions of "watch for sign for your exit" was strange. Why not state the exit # or road AND place a sign on 77 S.
Very good time. event was well run with the exception of them running out of beverages toward the end of the day
We attended on Friday to avoid the weekend crowds. And added bonus was the chance to see Tiger Woods shoot an amazing 61. All of the golfers were fun to watch. The parking and admittance process was very efficient. The food choices were good but pricey. We will attend again next year.
Great event as always, but the weather was most cooperative. This year it seemed as if the players were more connected with the fans. The Bridgestone marketing range, putting trial, and driving exhibit were really interesting and fun to try. This is our fifth year and we will be back again on hole 16 next year as always.
The beauty of the golf course was matched by the excitement and wonder of the play of these competitors from around the world. It was golf at the highest level and I was in awe of being so close to my heroes from the sport. I will remember this event for the rest of my life.
Stop the smoking on the grounds........Tried of smelling nasty cigars, while trying to eat. and listening to idiots yell, because they can. Why don't you throw these people out. That would make the rest of us happy................
It was great. Well organized.Watching Phil hit an errant shot over my head into the lunch tables and then make a great wedge shot back on the green.
Enjoyed watching all of our favorite golfers doing what they do best! Consistency is lacking re: security. On the first day, I was instructed to remove all my belongings from a 6x6x2 drawstring Nike bag and put them in my pockets, before boarding the bus at public parking. (On other visits to the tournament, I comfortably carried that same bag. ) Upon arrival to the course, I saw my exact bag worn by other spectators as well as larger Coach bags. Frustrating! And to add salt to the wound, when I returned to the parking lot tent in the afternoon, the ladies had thrown out the bag.
Event was very well organized. Close parking, plenty of shuttle buses kept the lines small. Staff was great and very helpful. The golf course was amazing. Will come back next year.
As a golf fan, this is a must-see. The course is beautiful and easy to access, even with the big crowds. Go to the back of the course to get away from the crowds. Drawback, water and iced tea is $5.00, beer is 6.50. Food prices, outrageous!
We were there on Sunday and its a great tournament and enjoyed watching all the golfers, Golf course looked great.
Almost everything about the tournament was great. The only negative was that some woman told me that my portable chair carry case was a weapon? I had to leave it at the gate. Yet others had theirs on the course.
This is a favorite of my wife and myself every year. This year do not disappoint. Another great tournament!
I had the pleasure of attending on Friday, and to witness Tiger tie the course record, Walked 9 holes with Phil Mickelson and 18 with Tiger. The quality of the tournament officials and workers were outstanding. The crowd was very warm and friendly. A number of golfers came out afterwards and signed autographs. Just a great experience
