The Bridgestone Invitational was very well organized. All of the pro golfers were surprisingly down to earth And very friendly and the staff was extremely helpful. For me and my husband this was our first Bridgestone Invitational and we are already making plans to attend next year.
This event was very fun. We were able to get very close to all the pros and go pretty much anywhere on the course besides private tents / reserved areas. The crowds seemed small at the beginning of the day and picked up as the day went on but we were still able to see all the players we wanted to follow from 10 feet or less away.
This was my first time watching the PGA Live. I always watch it on TV, but this was truly awesome. We sat behind the 17th green and got to see all the players as they came through. What a thrill!!
Well organized event. Beautiful weather. Beautiful golf course. Friendly staff. We love going to PGA tour events.
We had a great time at Firestone. The staff was friendly, and the service at concessions was very quick. Prices were reasonable when you consider other events you attend and buy food or drinks. The shuttles to the parking were very timely and convienent as well. Overall I had a great time and would definitely go again. Only minor complaint is that you couldn't have your phone. I understand the reasoning, but I was with a large group and it was hard to meet up at places and set times for everything. It'd be nice if you could have your phone and they just tell you that if you are seen making a call or taking pictures that it will be taken away and you can pick it up at security on the way out. It would have been nice to text with my group where we were at on the course, and also to be able to look at the scoreboard and where the players were on the course by using the internet on the phone. Something that can be worked on in the future, and really not a big deal... overall an excellent experience I would recommend to anyone
The use of school buses to transport adults to the grounds was not a good one. While buses are OK for students, leg room between the seats is inadequate for adults. Not a pleasant experience. The golf was great!!!!
The entire experience was very well done. Everything from free parking to shuttle to and from course was great. The course was in excellent condition and golfers were playing some great golf. Recommend seeing this event every year.
Love this event - the golfing was great and the weather was even better! Great event with great volunteers!
Watching all the greats of golf was amazing! It was hard to get close to Tiger and Lefty, but everyone else were easily accessible. Was standing right off the green while Ernie Els and Steve Stricker were putting. Same with Louis Oosthouzen(probably hacked the spelling) and Anthony Kim.
Make it known to customer parking purchase will be necessary if no pre-arrangements have been made outside of Firestone event purchase. Otherwise, very inconvenient to park at Rubberbowl.
If you are a golf fan then this is an excellent tournament to go see. No cut and the top players in the world are on hand. The draw back was the price of food and drink. Way too high!
Super venue to watch pro golf. Crowds weren't too bad, lines for consessions, etc. short.
We always enjoy ourselves. Really meet nice friendly people. But the number of food stands and port-a-johns what greatly reduced.
Golfing great to watch. Food prices too high and people should at least be able to bring their own water too drink. I never can understand why the concessions prices are so high at events of this nature. Why rip people off with high prices. The school bus is for kids and not enough leg room for adults to sit in without being cramped. Heard lot of complaints about this and should go back to the bus used in the past.
Firestone is a beautiful course, no better place to watch a PGA tournament! The crowds were quite manageable on Friday too.
the event was great , we get a kick out of watching the pros and watching them get in and out of trouble........ The only thing that is a downer is that we can't bring are own drinks in , we half to pay there high price for there drinks........
Absolutely beautifulday at the golf course! perfect weather, tho' a bit warm. The newbies were amazed at the course and how close you could get to the action. Everyone had a ball. Wonderful set-up! Enjoyable Day!
I took 3 boys with me that were all about the autgraphs. Tiger was the major one they wanted. They passed up other players and waited an hour for Tiger to come out, ONLY to have him snub everyone as usual. Each to their own I guess. Waving Hello to all the kids who look up to him would have been nice. I'm sure that couldnt mess up his game even more then it has been! I'm GLAD the kids weren't too upset and were still excited to get noticed by theother players. THEY will remember that day their whole life, as I did when I was younger.
They pulled the players off the course because the radar had storms in Mansfield. It didn't even hit there. Whoever decided to suspend play needs to be shot....what an idiot!
I love going to the practice rounds, especially when I get to spend the day with my son. It is such a treat to see the best players in the world up close without having to fight through huge crowds. This is the second year in a row that we have attended this event and we can't wait for next year.
