  • Golf can be beautiful

by Nance on 7/17/19Firestone Country Club - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Firestone CC was beautiful. The crowds were respectful. The golfers were wonderful. I could not believe how quiet it is despite the many people. The watertower clubhouse was very nice with portable AC and the food was great! Tacos for the summer are a good idea! They should have ice cream in the watertower club. The champions are champions

  • Experience of a Lifetime

    by G-Man on 7/17/19Firestone Country Club - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

A great day at the Iconic Firestone Country Club. It was fantastic seeing The Senior Players Championship. The participants did not disappoint. With the disappearance of The Bridgestone Invitational. It's great that Firestone and its Legendary Par 70 North Course will remain as a PGA Tournament Course.

  • Seniors Players Just As Good!

    by T. B. on 7/17/19Firestone Country Club - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

You couldn't tell any difference from last year's PGA Tournament compared to this year's Senior Players Tournament. It was the same great operation! Parking shuttle buses, the volunteers and just everything in general was fantastic as usual. The only thing was that there were less people in attendance than the regular PGA. But that made for a great time for us! Could walk around more easily and walk up to a green and get a view almost any time! Doesn't matter who is golfing, PGA or Seniors, we love the course, love Akron and love the pro golfers of any level!

  • Senior Golf Tour

It was a great event. Wish more people had supported these fantastic golfers. Firestone Country Club is always top notch venue!

  • The 3:30 pm pass was a GREAT deal!

by Mikey K. on 7/16/19Firestone Country Club - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

After a business meeting in downtown Akron arrived at Firestone at 4:00pm. Parked on the neighbors front lawn and walked right i without waiting in any lines The new cigar tent was a great new addition. I purchased a cigar and a beer and sat on the hill behind the 18th green and watched all remaining golfers come in. It was a great way to spend a few hours relaxing. Hope to see see more tournaments at Firestone in the future.

  • Bridgestone Senior Tournament

by John K. on 7/16/19Firestone Country Club - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

It was clear that the organizers are accustomed to running a major event. There were friendly volunteers everywhere who made the experience very enjoyable. The course is a beautiful venue and it's hard to believe that the PGA moved their tournament. It was great to see many of our all-time favorite players.

Kind and helpful people on hand. Well planned shuttle accommodations. Food and beverages were generally closely available.

  • Not the same

by Steve on 7/15/19Firestone Country Club - AkronRating: 2 out of 5

For the most part the senior tournament at Firestone wasn't much different from the PGA event. However it wasn't as spectator friendly. My wife's biggest complaint was that there were virtually no viewing stands available to general spectators. There were also fewer places to buy food and the food that was sold wasn't as good.
