About

"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard

The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.  He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more.  In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.

Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.  In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.  His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd.  Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.   Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:  his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice  -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.  The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.  Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.  This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

  • Amazing show

First time here guys! Had an absolutely amazing experience with my friends here for Kaskade. The best part for me was that no matter what side of the vaccine you stood on, they gave you options. And if you honestly forgot to take a Covid test before the show, they had a safe space station set up to take a Covid test for 40 bux

  • Just what we all needed!

by Karly on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Kaskade never disappoints, but the vibes and the energy at this show were special. It was a celebration marking the 10yr anniversary of the Fire & Ice album and you could just feel the love of the music in the crowd and the energy and excitement from all the opening acts and of course from the man himself. What’s better than a California sunset backdrop for a set list of songs that are so special to so many people? Just a beautiful moment in time. Also, Five Point Amphitheater is quickly becoming a favorite venue of ours. It’s easy to get to, parking is a breeze, entrance line moves fairly quickly and staff was friendly and helpful. This event was well organized and it showed.

  • Kaskade in the Park

by AmyT on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

We had a large group attend the Kaskade in the park concert and it was amazing! Great venue, easy to get in and out of with no hassle! Security and workers were all very friendly and easy going! We were even advised of where the best place to sit would be with shade near the stage which was a life saver given that it was really hot and 90 degrees that day. Kaskade played 30 minutes past the scheduled 8pm end time so that was also a huge bonus too!

  • Excellent all around

by Shalombee on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Venue entrance and exit were the easiest ive ever experiences. The entire layout was great. Just wish there were a little clearer signs of where VIP wristbands were.

  • Excellent Experience

    by Eddie5150 on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Loved Kaskade; having the event in the Park instead of inside the seating area was an awesome time; Free Parking and easy in and out of the venue topped it all off. More events in the Park are a must. Not a fan of 5 point Amphitheater's seating

  • SUPER FUN AND AWESOME!

The concert set up for the Kaskade in the park was awesome and well done!

  • Vip was so worth it

by EKL on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Everything went super smoothly from parking to getting in the venue to drink lines and the bathrooms! Kaskade always puts on an amazing show, but he really lights up during his own outdoor events. The vip area was perfect! The bathrooms were porta potties but super clean and many of them brand new. Overall a great experience and I hope he makes this an annual event!

  • Great venue!

by Kimberly on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Really loved Kaskade in the Park at the five points amphitheater in Irvine. There were plenty of bars to buy drinks, ample free parking, lots of cool inflatable photo ops, and CLEAN FLUSHING toilets! I was blown away! And of course Kaskade put on an amazing show! Played for a solid 2.5 hours! Kaskade definitely does top notch production for his fans, from venue choice, to music, to amenities. It was perfect.

  • Amazing show!

    by Mdf001 on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Kaskade was on point, and the Five Points should have these festivals more often for the Electronic Dance community. Plenty of want for this locally!

  • Kaskade was epic

Great show, so glad he put bars everywhere so that the drink lines weren't too long! Great vibes, very easy to park and leave. Well organized!

  • would do it again.

felt safe. bought vip but didnt see any real perks

  • awesome show

    by Crazy Raving G'ma on 8/23/21Echostage - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed every second of the music. Echostage, however, has become a bit stressful. Being a night club you have a lot of people who are just there to drink. VERY PUSHY.

  • The show was fun but issue with staff

by Kaskade played a great show on 8/23/21Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

The show was good, it was a fun time. The bouncer in the middle line rejected my friend’s ID though. We are all 30 so it was pretty annoying that the bigger bouncer, the one in the middle lane, didn’t let our one friend in.

  • Amazing show!

by Lexi on 8/14/21SoFi Stadium - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Let me tell you, the pros outweighed the cons. The production was absolutely stunning. The visuals on all screens were beautiful, there were fireworks, smoke cannons, LOTS of fire. And the most important part - the sound was awesome! It was so nice to see nothing but smiling faces when you turn around. Kaskade NEVER disappoints, and this show was no different! Truly one of the greatest experiences of my life. Now, it was slight unorganized chaos when we entered. There are NO signs to tell you where to find a bar, food, merch, etc. The only sign we saw during the entire event was for bathrooms (which were portapotties, even for VIP tickets). Myself, along with a crew of about 10 other people, had to follow security around for 15-20 minutes while they decided where they were going to let floor-ticket guests in to get food. It was the first “rave” at SoFi, so some un-organization was expected. But we missed the entire first set just trying to find our way around. Again, this will not stop me from returning. I can only imagine events getting bigger and better from here. Thank you Kaskade, Insomniac, and SoFi for one truly incredible night. Can’t wait for the next one!
