The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.Ā He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to BeyoncĆ©, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more. Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.Ā In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever ā 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.Ā His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd. Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.Ā Ā Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:Ā his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice Ā -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.Ā The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.Ā Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.Ā This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

I can't even explain how perfectly everything went, plenty of bars, restrooms everywhere, everything so clean, exiting the venue took me 5 minutes no lines, SoFi stadium is really prepared for any event.... Kaskade performance was the best, excellent lighting and effects never disappointed.... thank you so much for this concert we had so much fun...
I'll start by addressing the lineup: mind-blowing!!! deadmau5 and Dombresky as surprise performers??? Combined with Kaskade, it was almost too good to be true. Every performer was at the top of their game. Outstanding. Stadium acoustics are usually not the best acoustics for concerts, and this was still the case at SoFi. Massive echo drowns out much of the high frequency and makes it sound muddy. Nice, strong bass, though. The biggest frustration was waiting for a rideshare pickup at the stadium after the show. 1 hour wait. Would have been only 30 mins, which is bad enough, but some entitled tool stole our rideshare by bribing the driver before I could reach them. Not surprising for the first ever concert at this venue, but this needs massive improvement going forward. The rideshare dropoff and pickup should be moved onto the stadium lot with designated pickup locations and traffic control. The other big disappointment is that the restrooms were completely closed off to all concertgoers, forcing everyone to use the disgusting port-a-potties, which of course were not properly maintained during the show. I'd rather pay a higher ticket price to have access to proper bathrooms that are routinely maintained by the stadium staff. I really hope this will get worked out as the venue matures. All that said, I'd see another show at SoFi in a heartbeat, especially with that killer lineup!

VIP tickets worth every penny. No wait in line, excellent VIP lounge with food and the 6 hour set was amazing!! Glad I got to experience it this year.

Kaskade always makes his SF NYE shows so personal to him. This year was hands down the BEST Kaskade set I've ever attended. I can't think of a better way to start my 2019. Amazing, I hope Kaskade returns and does the same next year.
Kaskade never fails to put on an amazing show! He is by far my favorite artist! Kaskade loves his fans and he is a machine! I just saw him play a 6 hour open to close set in San Francisco, talk about no better way to ring in the new year! Iām a die hard fan, Iāve seen Kaskade 11 times this last year, and he is by far the BEST! Much LLOVE To my main man K! Looking forward to seeing you again very soon!!!

The pool party is always good, but Kaskade was not very good. I have seen him many times and always enjoyed his sets, just not this time.
The concert was amazing, per usual! Kaskade actually performed for a while unlike some big artists who just get up, play for a bit, and leave. The pool area was huge and really perfect for this event!!
He was great for the hour he played after the music went down hill from there.
Perfect way to end the year with B2B Kaskade shows. So much feels and energy of the crowd was amazing! Redux was awesome on Sat and perfect set to ring in the new year on Sun. Can't wait to relive his music again at Ultra!!
