About

"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard

The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.  He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more.  In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.

Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.  In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.  His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd.  Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.   Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:  his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice  -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.  The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.  Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.  This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

He was AWESOME, venue was awful

by SPsass on 1/3/22Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

I love Kaskade and this was my 15th show he never disappoints. There was heavy smoking in the venue of cigarettes' and weed and we could not breathe. We paid extra for VIP but there was no VIP section so the experience was horrible.

    Amazing...

by JL on 1/3/22Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

Every show I think I've heard everything before....and then he throws it down and drops the beats. He is amazing in so many ways and I have never walked away from a show feeling let down. He continues to bring the wow factor and I'll keep going because the fomo is real!

    Very Mediocre Kaskade show

by MiddleAgeRave on 1/3/22Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

This is our 3rd NYE with Kaskade at Bill Graham and I believe our 5th or 6th Kaskade show over the last 5 years. This one was by far the worst /most disappointing. What was up with all the deep house / techno on such a mainstream night as New Year’s? We love the anthems and sing alongs. Hopefully the old Kaskade we love will come back next time!

    Need shade

by Kaskde on 10/6/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

It was crazy hot zero shade. I appreciated that there were people walking around picking up trash and cleaning. Still a lot of trash on the ground but it helped a ton that they cleaned during.

Great time but venue could be more accommodating

    by J on 10/5/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The service workers were too notch but the setup could've been a lot better. For a venue during 90+ degree weather, there should've have been more shaded areas for people to be under.

    A show to remember...

    by V91 on 10/5/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Wow! Just Wow! Where to start? Parking was FREE and super organized. Directions to the event parking lot were clear as day. Security check, Covid Vaccination verification, and ticket scanning were easy-peasy but then again, we did get there a tad early so there was like no crowd. Once inside, the only two negatives I have are 1) there was not shade! AT ALL! For shade from the sun, you'd have to catch a seat on the ground next to a planter or other object for some kind of shade. And it was hot! But we managed to somehow not get sunburned. 2) Drink prices are so crazy! And what's with the CANNED water? I know we're trying to be more green and sustainable with not using water bottles, but If I pay $10+ for water, I'd like to be able to close it up tightly and throw it in my bag. And not to mention alcohol prices. SMH. Like why? But KASKADE and his openers were all AMAZING. They're the reason why I was there in the first place so in that sense, NO COMPLAINTS. Sound was great overall! The atmosphere of the venue was great too! The overall space was awesome!

    Post Clear Guidelines

    by Saitama619 on 10/5/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The event space was pretty small overall for this venue. It was not seated (which is good) but the space just felt small. Additionally, the website stated that only CLEAR bags would be allowed and no camelbaks. Turns out non clear bags and camelbaks were indeed allowed. My wife and I did not want to risk being turned away so we refrained from bringing a Fanny pack and a camelbaks. There were also no water stations. Only available water were $5 cans. No free water? Not cool :(

    Amazing show

by Ashlee on 10/5/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

This was a lot better than I expected. The music was great, the event was well-organized, and I felt comfortable being there because COVID regulations were properly in place but we still had a great time. I just appreciate that I had space to dance and vaccination cards were checked.

    Amazing show

by BigOlKaskadeFan on 10/5/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

First time here guys! Had an absolutely amazing experience with my friends here for Kaskade. The best part for me was that no matter what side of the vaccine you stood on, they gave you options. And if you honestly forgot to take a Covid test before the show, they had a safe space station set up to take a Covid test for 40 bux

    Just what we all needed!

by Karly on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Kaskade never disappoints, but the vibes and the energy at this show were special. It was a celebration marking the 10yr anniversary of the Fire & Ice album and you could just feel the love of the music in the crowd and the energy and excitement from all the opening acts and of course from the man himself. What’s better than a California sunset backdrop for a set list of songs that are so special to so many people? Just a beautiful moment in time. Also, Five Point Amphitheater is quickly becoming a favorite venue of ours. It’s easy to get to, parking is a breeze, entrance line moves fairly quickly and staff was friendly and helpful. This event was well organized and it showed.

    Kaskade in the Park

by AmyT on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

We had a large group attend the Kaskade in the park concert and it was amazing! Great venue, easy to get in and out of with no hassle! Security and workers were all very friendly and easy going! We were even advised of where the best place to sit would be with shade near the stage which was a life saver given that it was really hot and 90 degrees that day. Kaskade played 30 minutes past the scheduled 8pm end time so that was also a huge bonus too!

    Excellent all around

by Shalombee on 10/4/21FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Venue entrance and exit were the easiest ive ever experiences. The entire layout was great. Just wish there were a little clearer signs of where VIP wristbands were.
