"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard
The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade. He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more. In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.
Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ. In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months. His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd. Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago. Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums: his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart. The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs. Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs. This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

Amazing show, unbelievable set list, great lighting, great crowd interraction
I LOVED THIS CONCERT. Totally would go to another this summer again if I could.
The warm-up acts were really good. I happen to love the 1st act Faraoh. He spun a great set and kept the crowd engaged. Kaskade came out and put up an amazing show, but I felt like it wasn't long enough!
Let me start off by saying after seeing Tommy Trash absolutely destroy Philly the week before my expectations were riding pretty high. Holy cow were they met. The Fareoh(sp?) was an awesome opening act to say the least. But my absolute favorite was Alvin Risk, without a doubt got everyone going with some heavy dub and usual Alvin Risk remixes everyone loves. Then the man himself, Kaskade, does what everyone expects him to do, make everyone the happiest they can possibly be. I sweated so bad, but it was worth it. Great time had at festival pier!!!
The Freaks of Nature Tour show in Philly was INSANE. Fareoh, the first opener, succeeded in building up the crowd. Alvin Risk, the second opener, killed it. When Kaskade came on, the energy was electric. Pros: - Venue was easy to get to, no hassles parking + short walking distance - Openers were great - Lights + stage effects were OUTSTANDING - Kaskade's set is one of the best out there. HE PLAYED A BRAND NEW MIX. - Very easy to enter venue, line went fast and all they did was check your ticket and give the males a simple pat-down. Cons: - Very humid out, so if you were in the crowd you were dying of heat and thirst - Kaskade's set was ALMOST the same as his Coachella set, although none of the songs were in the same order. - Beverages were very expensive, but that's gonna happen at any show. Note*: Kaskade's music is incredible and he played a killer show. However, it seemed that most of the crowd wasn't really there for Kaskade's songs as much as they were there to be a part of the "EDM fad". So from the perspective of a true fan of Kaskade, that was kind of stupid. But still, that's not Kaskade's fault so I still gave the show 5/5 stars. Can't wait for the next one!
Incredible show. Kaskade was amazing, crowd was hot and energetic Definitely recommended. Set looked awesome, everyone had a great time. Dont miss out!!
Unless you manage to get there very early, prepare to be sequestered to the stands regardless of the kind of ticket that you bought.
Alvin Risk surprised me with a CRAZY set, then Kaskade went and did what I though he would... Banger after banger until I reluctantly had to go home
Love Kaskade. Had the best time. He needs to come back. Suggesting making it a 21 and over event?? Possibility.
Amazing!!!!!! Want to follow the rest of the tour! Best night ever
I have been to a couple of shows held at Penn's Landing before and this one was just as good as the rest. Fareoh started it off, then Alvin Risk came in with an AMAZING set that caught me completely off guard. Finally Kaskade came in and sealed the deal.
The Venue was not the most optimal choice for the event. Kaskade killed it of course-- but it was mad annoying that there was stadium type seating-- not cool.
Unbelievable line up, was not expecting Alvin Risk to be that good live. Kaskade dropped a few new songs, great light show, great visuals, all around amazing
Kaskade put on a fantastic show. From the moment Kap Slap came on to the minute Kaskade finished his encore was enthralling. The music was great for anyone who is into EDM and the visuals were far above average! The whole time I was feeling the music and mesmerized by the flying lasers and faces on the moving screens.
Had an awesome time! Loved going with my best friends. HOWEVER, we were not allowed to go to the dance floor! What the hell!? They said it was full... but there was plenty of space! We were all on the bleachers, very tight and stepping on each other all the time! But whatever, we still danced to the music! Obviously we would also get stepped on at the dance floor, but we would have had more space. Had an awesome time whatsoever, laughed, jumped and danced! Which is what matters at the end of the day. Thanks for a great time!
I am a Country music lover and this was my first DJ concert experience... I can't go back that was FREAKING AMAZING!!!! That base shook me right down to my spine and the visual effects were pretty cool :) one person away from front row on the floor.
energy filled, a lot of people there, great venue for a show like that.
Kaskade was better than I can describe in words. I wish it could have gone all night long. We had an amazing time. Too bad there are no more shows near us to see it again! The tickets were general admission but when we got there, they were no longer letting people on the floor and we were disappointed. It was barely half full and we had been looking forward to being on the floor. That was the only bad part of our experience.
Amazing time for being a first timer!!! Live energy throughout the whole arena!! Thanks, look forward to the next concert!
Ok so my Kaskade ticket was for the floor area...apparently so was everyone elses...yet when we arrived they weren't letting anyone down. The floor wasn't even full. Complete crap. I hate 1st Mariner. But of course Kaskade was awesome!
