Music: Amazing. One of Kaskade's best sets even though it was similar to the Coachella set. I understand he's on tour so we're going to hear some of the same music. Venue: Staples center was great. Never been to an edm event that has nice chairs lol Stage Production: The LED screens were great but I thought the person who was working the visuals could have made it more exciting. I was expecting more intense graphics, instead the ones shown on the screen were dull and slow. The images were all crystal clear. I just wanted something more stimulating. Length: That's the only reason why I'm not giving the show 5 stars. Kaskade's set was less than 3 hours. When I saw him at the Palladium back in 2010 and 2009, he dropped sets that were well over 3 hours, probably close to 4-5 hour sets. It was quite a bummer to hear that he was playing his last song when the party was just starting to peak. I know it's a commercialized concert instead of an EDM event, but still... the majority of the crowd that you attracted expects the show to go on past midnight.

About
"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard
The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade. He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more. In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.
Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ. In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months. His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd. Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago. Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums: his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart. The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs. Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs. This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

Kaskade was amazing!
by Inkagal on 7/29/12STAPLES Center - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5Kaskade was an amazing experience of connection with the music!
Great show
by rejackso on 7/29/12STAPLES Center - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5Lighting and visual effects were on point. However, the sound could have been a bit louder.
Amazing.
by dantwom on 7/22/12Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5Kaskade's main act was enormous and truly emotional. So beautiful. Alvin Risk absolutley destroyed everyone in the theater. The set itself was insane, kaskade's backdrop was interactive and very high quality. Fareoh was also very good.
Kaskade at the Uptown
by Ryan236 on 7/20/12Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5Pretty solid set by Kaskade. He kind of stuck to all the songs he's recently released, which was a little dissappointing as I was hoping for more variety and some of the current tracks by other guys that are blowing up right now. Effects were good, and he was on his game as far as mixing goes. Alvin Risk was a rediculously good opener as well. I wish this event were on a Friday or Saturday, but overall Kaskade is my favorite DJ and he didn't disappoint.
Pretty good concert
by Acev on 7/16/12Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall - TampaRating: 4 out of 5It was pretty good show, I was hoping to see a better stage. Maybe some dancers but lighting was pretty good. Overall it was a good concert
Fun show, but could be better

KASKADE PLEASE COMEBACK TO THE D.M.V.!!!
by ixbeavisxi on 7/11/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 4 out of 5Kaskade was amazing as usual; loved the new track, mash ups, and when he played "Move for Me." The only negative thing I'd have to say about the whole experience is that the 1st Mariner Arena and their staff sucked! (Which is does not put the tour at fault.) Security was terrible, kicked everyone out way to quickly, and would not allow anyone to use the rest rooms afterwards. My friends and I will never go back to that arena again.
epic show was ecic
by hewhorageswithwolves on 7/9/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5pretty epic. Notwithstanding the rapacious tempest outside.
This tour is totally excellent!
by Anonymous on 7/8/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5The set Kaskade played, including the encore, was brilliant. If listening to his music online, on Pandora, or on CD gives you goosebumps, this will give you chills. The lineup before him was decent. This was my first real event so I can't tell you if it should have been better. I would recommend this event to anyone. In the words of Kaskade 'We're all freaks of nature. Why not have a party?'
Kaskade was awesome - venue was OK
by Gavinsm3 on 7/5/12Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5Kaskade spinning was great, he played a few new tracks that were not dropped from EDC. Great lights and smoke on stage. Not a fan of partying with 16 year olds when I'm in my 30s. Hope next time Kaskade plays at a 21+ event
Kaskade=amazingness
by beepbopbop on 7/5/12Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5Great openers and great set by Kaskade, it was awesome the entire time. The venue was great too being outside was so much fun.
kaskade at 1st mariner arena baltimore
by edmgirl on 7/3/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 2 out of 5kaskade is a great dj but this venue was terrible for the type of music and people that come to his shows expect. he did a great show, however it was harder to enjoy like a regular show of this type because they barely let many ppl on the actual dance floor and people had to go sit in the seats. not great for electronic DANCE music. if they let everyone on the floor it would have been fine. ppl would still have the option to sit.
KASKADE!!!!
by JeezusShaves on 7/3/12Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5IT WAS AWESOME, HE REALLY ROCKED THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!
- by Anonymous on 7/3/12Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5
The last time I was at Festival Pier was for Loaded Festival, so I was looking forward to seeing Kaskade. The opening acts were all pretty good dubstep that I hadn't seen live before. Alvin Risk killed it, and came out on stage wearing a sweater and thick glasses. The nerdy look parodies the whole thing, and I love it. Kaskade was the main show however, and seeing him live was mind-blowing. The lights, the visuals on screen, the music, the crowd, everything was fantastic. Water was $4.50, which is a bit pricey, especially since it as so hot and humid out. EDC NYC you could fill up water for free, but EDC NYC also had the worst crowd I've been in at an edm show (MetLife stadium, north Jersey, what do you expect?). The bottom line is that I would absolutely recommend a Kaskade show to a friend. In fact, I'd try my hardest to convince them to go, because Kaskade puts on a great show, and the Festival Pier is a pretty good venue to see him at. Great music, great show, great crowd, what more could you ask for?
Amazing lightshow, fabulous DJ, mediocre venue
by gemena26 on 7/3/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 4 out of 5I would rate this concert on three things: the lightshow, the DJ set, and the venue. The lightshow gets a 10/10 for me. The lasers are unbelievable. They just blew me and the entire crowd away. The stage set-up was amazing as well. The LED wall behind Kaskade moved throughout the entire concert with crazy images that matched the songs and beats. It was just unreal. Props to the lighting guy and Live Nation for hooking that up. The DJ, Kaskade, is my favorite DJ, so you would think I'd be biased but I can distinguish a good DJ set from a bad one, regardless. Not that it was bad, I'd give his set a 7.5/10, but I called his entire set from the beginning and even though he switched songs around in a different order, it was all very predictable. I WILL say one thing: he added "Allein" at the end, the new song by Prydz and that really made me tingle inside haha. The venue was a different story. We got there about 40 minutes before Kaskade came on and tried to go down to the floor and it was closed because apparently the fire marshall said only 2500 people were allowed down there. That's fine and all but there was no system of tracking how many people were down there or if people left. In any case, the floor was half empty. It was really a blow to the venue because a lot of people were upset (me included) and the concert looked terrible because it looked empty! The staff was also trying to keep people off the rails but once Kaskade came on, they kinda gave up. It was all very disorganized at the venue.
Best Night Of My Life!!!!
by Tangy4TW on 7/3/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5This was probably the best experience I have ever had in my entire life and I'm turning 21 soon. Even if this was my first concert, I have never experienced an atmosphere where every single person was in tune with the music. Kaskade and all the other artists that performed Friday night were outstanding and played amazing sets that got the crowd going. This will definitely be an event that I will remember and when Kaskade got on stage, I screamed like a little girl, he killed it with his set.
amazing show man!!
by heymelmo on 7/3/12Festival Pier (at Penn's Landing) - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5kaskade is always great to listen to his music, any way you can, but to see what his music does to a crowd is exhilirating and full of great energy. the light show was amazing and i wish he would play longer and come more often to philly....
- by Anonymous on 7/3/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 3 out of 5
Worst venue ever! Floor was half empty and we still had to stay up in the seats! Never again at the Baltimore arena please
- by Anonymous on 7/2/121st Mariner Arena - BaltimoreRating: 4 out of 5
Great show. Fun crowd. Venue definitely worked. Not an epic set from kaskade like you'd get at a club, but still a lot of fun.
