"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard
The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade. He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more. In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.
Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ. In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months. His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd. Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago. Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums: his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart. The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs. Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs. This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

Kaskade is an extremely talented artist and his performance at RR on this beautiful evening (once the downpour cleared as he took the stage) was absolute perfection. He played songs that span his entire discography thus far and mixed them perfectly to keep the crowd moving and loving every beat. I saw him at EDC a few years ago and he was awesome there, but this performance blew EDC out of the water. I would highly recommend seeing him at least once. I will be eagerly awaiting his next tour or festival appearance. He stated this tour would be like nothing he has ever done before and he was true to his word. Flawless and blissful.
Seriously felt like he might have stolen the show if everyone who performed hadn't been just so amazing. Lights, stage work, dealing with the rain, and obviously music. Wouldn't take back a minute!
Kaskade at Red Rocks? Does it get any better. I've seen him all over Colorado (even Red Rocks) but this show was the best. Well done.
Great city, great venue, amazing performances by kaskade and supporting acts!
Simply wasn't a let down. Wish he had gone on earlier or at least at the time he was suppose to come on. But besides that it was simply amazing. Best DJ out there. People were amazing, venue amazing. Absolutely amazing.
such a sick show, i hope kaskade returns again!!!!!!
The show was amazing .I wish it was longer but it was still great ! i would definitely see it again.
The venue was perfect and the opening acts were great as well. Once Kaskade came on stage, the crown just went wild. He kept us dancing and fist pumping all night. His set was awesome. Great song, after great song. Everyone around me seemed to be enjoying it as much as I was. I would definitely go again!
the staples center was a great place to hold the event. Kaskade was amazing and i loved all the lights and everything else! the ushers were helpful at helping find seats and it was a friendly environment.
I love kaskade so I went into it knowing it was going to be great but he surpassed my expectations and made it such an unforgettable night. Even the openers were good! But I loved how humble he was when he talked to the crowd and just showed everyone how special San Francisco is to him and how much he loves and appreciates his fans. I love him so much more after this show and I didn't think that was possible.
My first time seeing Kaskade Live. It was perfect! Got emotional when he played "I Remember" because it was the first song I heard of Kaskade and I remembered why I felt in love with his music. I will always remember FON, I got scared, literally! I somehow got a cut on the back of my thigh!
I never write reviews, but I had to for this event. Kaskade has always been my favorite DJ/artist and his music has influenced me so much. I have never been able to travel up to Las Vegas or SoCal to go to one of his performances, so when he announced his Freaks of Nature tour, I knew he was going to come back to SF and there was no way I was going to miss it. I came to the venue early to be among the first people in line and when they opened the doors, I was sure to run right up to the front and be at the fence. Keeping my spot the entire time, I was able to experience the show from up front, and I definitely had the best time of my life. The opening acts from Fareoh and Dirtyphonics are the best opening acts I have heard and I had a blast. When Kaskade came on, everything was surreal. Having listened to his music for a few years, I sang along to every song he played and I cannot explain the feelings I felt while listening to my favorites being played and how moved I was to see him play. I definitely cried when he played his mix of 4am, my favorite song. Being able to see his passion and his smiles while playing up front and live made the experience incredible and a moment I will never forget. This event has literally changed my life and I am genuinely saying this has been the best night of my life. I am so happy I was finally able to see Kaskade play live and my love and passion for his music has only increased. When he got down from his stage and was exiting, he passed by the front where I reached my arm out to him. He ended up holding my hand and being a huge fan girl, I will never forget that moment. I LOVE YOU KASKADE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FULFILLING MY DREAM.
Best show i ever been to. Amazing sow. Kaskade mad a history that night. i would love to see him here again
Kaskade never ceases to amaze! Bill Graham is a great spot to dance
It was amazing. Everything was amazing. It made me happy. Music was great from the first song to the last. I'll never forget it. Did I mention it made me happy? There was a guy dressed in neon green walking around the floor and we called him "I'm Sexy and I Know It Man" cause he looked like he was ready to work out and it was hilarious. Did i mention it made me happy? Kaskade really knows how to throw a show. With the lights, foam, confetti, and those beach balls. THE BEACH BALLS. I wanted one so bad. My only gripe would be there weren't enough beach balls. The graphics on screen were amazing as well. There was an elephant. At first it did nothing. But THen it started bobbing it's head side-to-side. And You Just Couldn't Stop Watching It. It was so b'awesome. Like a cute elephant.
The concert was good over all i got there early to get a good seat but THREE hours to see kaskade seemed like for EVEr. I left early too didn't feel like getting caught up in the after concert rush. I Would go again though! Sound kind of sucked.
Great show, it blew my expectations away. We partied all night.
Too short! Also you guys sold too few GA tickets so the floor was empty and didn't have the energy it should have.
Everything was really well organized! I loved the clown lady on stilts and the free butterfly masks! The performances before Kaskade were on point and Kaskade himself exceeded my expectations. The effects that accompanied his performance were stellar! What a great light show! The smoke and glowing balloons were really fun! It was especially nice not to wait in any long lines to enter or get a drink. I didn't run into any rude or negative people. The bathrooms were clean and I didn't see or smell any bodily fluids which is a major PLUS! The only downer was the occasional shower of water and/or alcohol from the people in the balcony. I'm sure they thought it was funny, and although I didn't get wet I'm sure those who did thought it was immature and rude. Overall, seeing Kaskade live is never disappointing. He seemed to be glowing with happiness! I love that he seems to have a sincere appreciation for his fans and their love of his music.
