About

"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard

The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.  He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more.  In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.

Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.  In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.  His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd.  Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.   Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:  his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice  -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.  The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.  Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.  This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

  • Kaskade's Best Performance Yet!

by Anonymous on 10/22/13Shrine Expo Hall - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I am lucky enough to have seen this man perform live 4 times over the past year (EDC 2012, Freaks of Nature Tour, Redux set in Vegas and Atmosphere Tour) and while he never disappoints, Atmosphere (aka the Kaskade & Friends Tour) was his best performance yet! He played a nearly a 2.5 hour set and had something for everyone, playing his new stuff as well as a good amount of older stuff (from Strobelight Seduction, In the Moment, and It's You It's Me). The Shrine has a great sound a light system which Kaskade used to its fullest extent. The icing on the cake were guest appearances by Lights and Skylar Grey and Kaskade himself on vocals - what a moment! Especially at his own shows, Kaskade works the crowd and on this night it was just an absolutely immersive experience. I'll will be having withdrawals looking back, no doubt! What makes Kaskade my favorite DJ is how much he truly loves and appreciates his fans and how humble he is. More than just a great artist, he is a great person and that is why he has some of the more adoring and loyal fans around. Thank you for an unforgettable night, Ryan!

The show was amazing. Entrance security was very pushy and rude.

  • Unbelievable show!! Thank you Kaskade!!!

by LordofReptar on 10/22/13Shrine Expo Hall - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Amazingly produced!! Kaskade moving between the two stages let everybody get an up-close view and be a bigger part of the experience! The main stage was epic with moving video screens, fog, lazers, and confetti!! Such a fun crowd too!

Kaskade put on the best show to date! I've seen him at Coachella, FON, Redux, and all summer long at Marquee LV for his Summer Lovin Tour, this was by far my favorite . CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT'S NEXT!!

  • Kaskade was great!

by echavez0627 on 10/21/13Shrine Expo Hall - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

Kaskade is one of my favorite dj's; so it was no surprise to me that he would be great! He put on more of a concert with A LOT of vocalists, but that's to be expected given his tracks. I've definitely seen livelier concerts (not so many vocals and harder EDM tracks), but i expected this and thought he put on a great concert!

  • Kaskade never let's you down!

Kaskade was absolutely amazing and brought an amazing show to his fans! The venue was a tad small but it actually made it even better! Sound was awesome and the bass was body shaking :) a truly unforgettable show!

  • Kaskade was ridiculous!

  • Veteran performance

Kaskade was amazing, as always. I have seen him about 10 different times. Freak of Nature tour last year. Mostly in Vegas at Encore Beach Club and Marquee. Only thing I would change is to make the event 21+.

  • by Jcrivero09 on 10/21/13Shrine Expo Hall - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Kaskade was amazing! He never disappoints and will forever be one of my favorite dj's. If you get the chance to see him live and he's in your city do not miss out!!!

  • Kaskade

by Anonymous on 10/21/13Shrine Expo Hall - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Kaskade was amazing. This show was unforgettable in every sense of the word. The show was electric and he commanded the attention from the start of the show to the very end. The dynamics were incredible. I will never forget this show for as along as I live. More performers need to take notes.

  • Despite the hype, Kaskade was mediocre

by Pnevs on 10/21/13Shrine Expo Hall - Los AngelesRating: 2 out of 5

The show was not as long as it was indicated. Kaskade only played for about one hour and the show ended super early. Wish I wouldve saved the money I spent on this show to go to Hardfest instead.

  • Kaskade does it again!

by JENNYWiN on 10/21/13Shrine Expo Hall - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Kaskade knows how to put on a show! The effort, creativity, and the event is just amazing. Live performances, great visuals, and an amazing sound system. Kaskade will always be worth your money!
