About

"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard

The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.  He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more.  In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.

Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.  In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.  His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd.  Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.   Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:  his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice  -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.  The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.  Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.  This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

by djR0k on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Kaskade more than 45 times in the past nearly decade, and I have to admit this show ranked within the top 5. If you weren't there, you missed out.

  • Awesome DJ sucky wait line for BEER!!

by GreenEydgirl on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

Next time they need a better beer area, the wait for the line was ridiculous! only 1 bar on each side. I waited 2 hours!!

  • Not well organized

by Seanijuana on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

The convention center has tons of space that went unused.. The beer garden was tiny and way off to the side away from the stage. The beer garden had a line wrapping around itself and out the door. The bar on the inside had 2 elderly bartenders who wouldn't move to help others. Besides the bar/beer garden problem the stage, production, & sound was awesome!

Both the venue and the lineup were over the top! First time seeing Kaskade and did not disappoint seeing him at the convention center. Hope to see more EDM events in the future being allowed here because the venue is perfect and the return of Kaskade of course!

Kaskade coming back to LA was something I've been looking forward to for awhile. I'm glad he got the convention center as the venue for one that it was a big venue and that his team was able to put on a great visual display as well as sound system was amazing. Enough space for the beer garden and the refill station was not too far. Great job to Insomniac!

  • Best birthday experience!!

by angiepangiee on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Worth every penny! We bought the VIP package that came with the meet and greet. The gift merchandise they gave us for the event came with a lot of stuff! A hat, a VIP lanyard, a scarf, an autographed ticket, and the backpack! The VIP section was practically empty which I liked. More room for dancing!

  • KASKADE IN LA WAS UNREAL!

by havoc on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I've ever been to. It really is a rare commodity to see an EDM artist headline a beautiful venue such as the convention center. Kaskade did NOT dissapoint. What a night. The VIP experience by Insomniac was definitely worth it. Got the "West Coast Massive VIP" package thinking that I would get the opportunity to meet Kaskade and that's that, however I didn't realize that it would come with SO many other perks. The backpack with -A Snapback -Lanyard -VIP Necklace -Scarf/Bandana -Commemorative pin It was definitely worth it. Insomniac did a kicka** job!

  • KASKADE IS BAE!!!!

by DeeLovesKaskade on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

My friends and I had an AMAZING night! Venue was great, air conditioning was ice cold, plenty of room! Only downfall was it took 30mins to get a wristband for the 21+, once we got in they were still carding when we got our drinks! What is the whole point of wristbands then! AND on top of that it was limited to one drink per person! So you're waiting 30 mins for wristband and another 30mins to get one drink! Beer garden was horrible. But as far as the music goes.... all the DJs were great and of course KASKADE was AMAZING!!! Thank you for putting on an AMAZING event! Let's do it again soon!!! #KaskadeLA #KaskadeIsKing

  • Kaskade! Best set of his life!

by JuicyJinn on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The most amazing night. The entire venue was filled with PLUR VIBES. Kaskade put on a sick ass show! Definitely showed LA love! I wish I could relive that night like everyday! Still on a high I hope I never come down from! What a way to celebrate my best friend's birthday! Kaskade was worth every penny!

  • Kaskade was Epic, BUT!!!

by Robverbs85 on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

i really enjoyed Kaskade whole set from start to finish, with the intro of LA and the story he told before he came out to the production, but to have the "beer garden" where you can only drink there and cant leave and the line SUPER long to where you cant really enjoy the event because you were in line for so long, even to get water was kinda ridiculous. the DJs that were before Kaskade was okay, nothing to rave about they did good enough. But KASKADE though!

  • expected more...

by popanda on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

my biggest grief was the beer gardens. this was just stupid. the lines were just not moving. and then once inside it was another battle just to get a beer. from 8 to 1230 i was only able to buy 1 beer! not because i didnt want to..thats how bad it was. i spent the whole night in lines. venue was nice though. i can definitely see more concerts being held there. kaskade rocked it of course.

  • Amazing atmosphere

  • Kaskade never lets me down

by MadeUpLA on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This show was one of my favorites shows that Kaskade has put on. The venue was perfect. I loved how it was big open and not packed wall to wall like most shows. His set was longer than what he's been doing lately and I loved every minute. I didn't want it to end. So amazing.

  • Kaskade was unreal, Can't top this

by Leapz on 5/10/16Los Angeles Convention Center - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The night was amazing and couldn't have asked for anything else. Kaskade was amazing and brought back memories from 2010. This show by far has been one of his best. Now the waiting game begins until his next show.
