About

"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard

The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.  He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more.  In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.

Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.  In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.  His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd.  Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.   Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:  his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice  -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.  The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.  Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.  This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

If I could give this 1,000,000 stars I would. The show was very moving. Nothing like what I expected at all. Progressive house Xmas songs either live performances??!!! Absolutely incredible show. Making Kaskade Xmas an anual tradition.

One of the best nights I've had in a long time. As a long time fan of Kaskade whose christmas season soundtrack is both kaskade christmas albums, it was a magical night! Beautiful scenery and Music. The melodic voices of Becky williams, Ardy and the others was unbelievable. Wish I could've gone more than once!!! Hope to be able to see another Kaskade christmas show in the future!!!

  • Fun

    by ClefL33 on 11/6/24Echostage - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Kaskade was great. Music was good vibe was good. The only complaint I have is about the venue Echostage. There was too much cigarettes i.e. vaping w/ laced drugs & weed in the venue. I got sick the next day due to it. Not sure if I'll be returning back to that venue. Otherwise, the Halloween theme and positive vibes was great. Especially the music.

  • Bad Venue, Misleading "Concert"

by Dax on 7/29/24RYSE Nightclub - Saint CharlesRating: 1 out of 5

When I purchased tickets to see Kaskade I had expected something similar to past EDM concerts I've been too. I know the venue (Ryze) is more "club"style however there were a few things that were misleading about the "concert". While I didn't expect a huge stage performance or showmanship, I was highly let down by the fact that Kaskade was not even the "main"DJ during the "concert". The event started at 10pm and having gone to many EDM concerts in the past, I expected some minor named DJs to perform maybe an hour to an hour and a half before the headliner came out aka Kaskade. That is NOT what happened. Each hour a new DJ came out and played their set for a solid hour. With each transitioning DJ, they started to turn the music up louder and louder. By the time Kaskade was introduced and on stage, which by the way it was 1AM before they even showed up... Kaskade played for maybe an hour at best. On top of that, since the sound engineers were turning up the music every hour on the hour, by the time Kaskade got to perform, the sound was so loud that it started to distort the equipment. The highs were piercing to the point it actually hurt to hear some of the song mixes with little to no mids or bass. Kaskade's albums usually include lots of vocals and because of the sound mixing, you couldn't really hear nor understand any of the vocals since all other sounds were washed away by the high range sounds. I understand the venue is acoustically challenging but turning the volume up to absolutely unnecessarily high levels to such that even your equipment starts to crack is just poor sound engineering. If Kaskade ever comes back to Ryze, I will not be buying tickets. I will also probably never buy tickets for any DJ or performance done at Ryze.

  • Late for the party

by Twayne on 5/7/24Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 1 out of 5

I was excited to have a chance to attend this event but I was very disappointed that the main attraction was 2 hours late to a 4 hour event. The alternative DJ provided great support while we waited but when he did show up all he did was turn the music up louder. It got to the point we had to leave shortly after he arrived. Not sure how the rest of the party went. Having my sternum vibrate from the bass being up that high is not really entertainment and as a physician i’m pretty sure it is not good for me either. Making really loud music is not the same as making really good music.

  • Amazing

Most amazing and thought out event at the guitar hotel pool. VIP section wasn’t too packed, plenty of space, and the tables to place your purse/drinks were perfect. The staff were friendly and great at assisting and directing us in line for the drinks. It really kept everything moving and at a smooth pace. The fire dancers and beautiful women on stilts were magical. The robot man was also a really nice surprise! I love that guy lol. The HUGE container of water bottles were a blessing in disguise 😆. The only thing I wish was better was the “premium” liquor… they could’ve done WAY better. I felt bad for general admissions bar if what we had was premium 😳. However, it was open bar so good enough. Lastly, the man of the event -Kaskade - put on the most spectacular show!!! I have always been a fan but never saw him in person and wow. He played his best songs including other DJs hits. I would 1000% buy those tickets again. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!
