About

"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard

The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.  He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more.  In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.

Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.  In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.  His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd.  Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.   Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:  his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice  -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.  The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.  Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.  This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

We had the best time at Big Night Live seeing Kaskade. The music, the lasers and graphics on screen were all top notch! The crowd was super friendly and PLUR! Highly recommend seeing him if you get the chance.

  • For the love of kaskade

by Mike on 3/12/24Big Night Live - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Omg, kaskade did it again i have seen him so many times between ezoo and other festivals. Saturday nights show hit so many great feelings of how much I love this man, and how much he has made me get through so many things in life. He seriously has my heart and will forever be an amazing part of my world. If I met him I would hug him and say thank you for making music like he does for everyone, and thank you for getting me though so much because without his music I probably would be in a much worse place then now. Thank you so much for everything.

  • Very nice venue

by Elby on 3/12/24Big Night Live - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time attending this venue. I was very pleased with my experience. The security was friendly and not overly aggressive. The bar was very friendly and attentive. Great vibes the whole night. I was more impressed with the DJ that opened for Kaskade.

  • Kaskade Krushed BNL

    by mau5Fan on 3/12/24Big Night Live - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Ok, so this is going to be long. I actually saw him Thursday night and I wouldn’t say I didn’t like the set, but it really felt like a super pop-y set…that’s part of why I stopped listening to him as much. I loved FIRE + ICE and his singles more so (meaning a while back he just had a different style of production) than this style of set so THURSDAY (although I have never seen him live before in my life and was just happy to SEE him and the show was free as I was on guest list) was a bit less energetic imo. ——SATURDAY—— ABSOLUTELY crushed the set with a remix of quite a few Fire + Ice tracks and the singles I did enjoy off The Grand(?) This was more so the set I KNEW was coming as BNL would require a ton more energy. I had been to BNL the last few months (Mau5 did the same run of shows, Eric Prydz was recently at BNL and now Kaskade) Side note for this ^ seeing as how deadmau5 and Kaskade play together as KX5, I’ve never heard any of them outside of what Mau5 has played. He played like 3-4 Kx5 tracks and I loved every second of it! He also played a remix of Strobe by deadmau5, AND he played an Eric Prydz track. I’m not sure if it was on purpose but I definitely noticed the pattern. Mau5 played first, he played the Mau5 remix first, then he played Eric Prydz, who played after deadmau5..so you see the pattern? It was a good time either way and I have no complaints about the Saturday show! For the first times seeing him I was absolutely enjoying myself and glad I got to! MAU5 in Brooklyn Next!! Unless I cave in Steve Angello XD

  • A beautiful and magical show ✨

So much talent went into this. It was absolutely beautiful, fun, energetic, and reflective. I hope it becomes a Christmas 🎄 tradition.

  • What a unique experience!

by BrittanyB on 12/24/23Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been to many Kaskade concerts and what a unique experience! Hearing songs off his Christmas albums, plus his slower songs from Fire & Ice were so special, since those are songs Kaskade isn’t usually going to perform. The venue, with 97 years of history, was the icing on the cake. It was super intimate and you could tell everyone there was a genuine fan. The visuals, stage decor and everyone’s festive attire made for a perfect Christmas event!

  • Best show of 2023

by JRock on 12/24/23Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I didn't know what to expect. But Kaskade pulled of the best EDM/Christmas program ever. Put me in the Christmas spirit and hope he comes back to LA. I'll make this a Holiday tradition if he returns.

  • Seats & Sounds were all superb!

by Twix on 12/24/23Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I sat on balcony in section 3 about 4th to the last row and I could still see more than going to a normal event place since it was theater style seating. It’s preferable for me since I’m shorter and have trouble seeing the stage. The sound is amazing in that theater, everything about the sound and setting made the show much more enjoyable. Would definitely see a music event here again.

  • Special Kaskade Christmas

by Danthaman on 12/23/23Orpheum Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Kaskade does it again! Can't believe this guy released 2 Christmas albums full of bangers! You would think EDM and Christmas wouldn't work but his craftsmanship shows with how beautifully it works. He played a few of his electronic songs for good mix. He always amazes me when I see him live. Highly guarantee, will watch again.

  • Magical

Unprecedented event and it exceeded my expectations. Hearing him sing live while sharing his childhood holiday memories was epic. Great production!

  • No More Chairs!!!

by One Love! on 11/26/23Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell - HonoluluRating: 4 out of 5

As far as the music, sound and lighting it was an incredible show. The floor plan was confusing by calling General Admission/Lawn at the time of purchase and showing the front of the Stage General Admission also. Making me think I had access to both (as it should be) making me have an uncomfortable and unpleasant time dealing with security for that very reason. Also, CHAIRS dont belong on the dance floor of any music event for young people. VIPs and the artist want to mingle and feed of the energy of the crowd too. Lucky this show was full enough to not be a problem but is happened countless times hurting Oahu's experience and culture. Artists playing to an empty hole of chairs as there are hundreds if not thousands in the venue already is unacceptable. VIPs should be offered a less crowded bathroom and bar. NOT CHAIRS ON THE DANCE FLOOR. Hope that helped continue to make Oahu's musical experience and access better. Beautiful event tho. Love Only!

  • Quadruple the $, half the show

by Ktb on 11/25/23Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell - HonoluluRating: 2 out of 5

This event cost over $200 for 2 tickets for Kaskade to get up there for one hour. Ridiculous pricing for the world’s shortest set.

  • Great artists! Extreme heat is concerning

by Gabeeoats on 8/31/23Rating: 2 out of 5

The event itself was fun and talking stick is gorgeous! It should be illegal to host an outside day pool party in the middle of summer in AZ!! The heat was literally radiating from the ground. Alcohol mixed with heat exhaustion is a recipe for disaster. The artists were great as usual and the people brought the vibes. I will be skipping the next wave party if it’s in the middle of summer and during the day. Never again.

  • Kaskade never disappoints and always puts on a great show

by Fantastic show on 8/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Talking Stick is a wonderful venue, DJ selection is excellent, pool parties are the best, but why do we have to have it in the middle of the hot AZ summer? I don’t understand why these functions cannot go on year-round when the weather is cooler. I have almost overheated multiple times. Thank God for the troughs of water bottles.

  • Didn’t know who kaskade was

by Miketrillaa on 8/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Now I do! What a magical experience. The air was gasoline and all you needed was a match and the match was kaskade. And then I went to the casino and doubled my money. Paid for the whole event. Outfit included

  • Great artist venue mid

by Abarri on 8/29/23Rating: 3 out of 5

It was a great performance but the talking stick needs more shade. And that bull of running out of water and cold drinks what a shame on you talking stick. I wanted to spend more money at your venue but come on. No cold beer or drinks with a 110 heat and no shade smh
