About

Dominating the early 90s as part of Jodeci, a North Carolina Hall of Fame band, brother Cedric "K-Ci" and Joel "Jo-Jo" Hailey carried the success into their duo venture as K-Ci & Jo-Jo. The R&B duo's vocals never fail to lull the audience with their smooth, romantic tunes or have them swaying side to side to their sultry vocals. Tickets to a K-Ci & Jo-Jo concert will show fans that some things do get better with age; the duo doesn't fail to deliver when it comes to their strong vocals. September 2013 saw the release of their fifth and latest album My Brother's Keeper. which peaked at No. 20 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, K-Ci & Jo-Jo had their beginnings in the church choir but left to form Jodeci with the DeGrate brothers. Jodeci enjoyed success from 1991-1995, but the first signs of independence appeared when K-Ci recorded a cover of "If You Think You're Lonely now" for a film in 1994. In 1997, they debuted with their first album Love Always. The single "All My Life," which held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, skyrocketed K-Ci & Jo-Jo into the limelight. From there, the Hailey brothers released It's Real in 1999, X in 2000, Emotional in 2002 and My Brother's Keeper in 2013. K-Ci & Jo-Jo were awarded both the American Music Award for Favorite R&B Band/Duo/Group and the Blockbuster Award for Best Group - R&B in 1999. The No. 1 hit "All My Life" has undoubtedly become a timeless ballad whose message and depth will carry into future generations. While no tours are planned in 2014 for the talented R&B duo, fans can listen to K-Ci & Jo-Jo perform at various concert venues around the nation.

We heard music from a DJ for over an hour and although it was entertaining that was not what we paid for. The group Total was missing a member and the sound was bad. The group Guy didn't show up at all. The announcement that a member of the group was ill wasn't presented to us until 30 minutes after the previous performance. The group 112 was very entertaining and did a great job singing their hits. K-Ci and Jojo ended the show however their sound was off and they were abruptly cut-off in the middle of their set! I'm talking mics cut-off and lights turned off, even the people at the sound board were surprised to see this type of behavior (their power was cut off too). I think the show should have been extended past 11:30pm given the fact that the acts we paid for weren't complete. People were walking back and forth across the stage during performances and they weren't even part of the show, it was distracting. Overall I think the show was very disorganized and there could have been better communication with the audience from the presenters.

    Good artist, poor mgt

by CDM74 on 9/25/14DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

Each group that attended was very good. The event itself was fun. Not a large crowd. There was no early announcement that Aaron Hall would not perform. There was a lot of wasted time in between 112 and KC/JoJo. The Main event was cut off without an announcement. No acknowledgement to the supporters of the event. Felt very disrespected.

ladies night out part two sucked!

by levykat on 9/25/14DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

Guy didnot show up. So the DJ played guy songs for 30 minutes. Total barely lipped sinked their songs. Jodecie was drunk or high kc put on a ok show Jojo didnot even bother to sing half the time. Over all a waste of time and money.

    Very Disappointed

by win38 on 9/24/14DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

The sound was terrible. Guy did not perform and the audience was not told that they would not perform until it was time for the group to perform. The lights came on during Jodeci 's performance and they stopped singing. The audience was unclear about whether the show was over or not. No formal exit or announcement was made.

One act did not show and the headliners got cut off mid song and didn't get to finish the show. A lot of people were very angry.

    PERFORMERS THAT ENTERTAIN!

by luvsummikeepps on 9/24/14DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

This concert was epic overall. Really brought back that 90S vibe and great memories. They performed, they sang, they interacted with the crowd...however Guy performed one song and only one of them because the other member was ill and KC and Jojo cut us short with their main song and just walked off the stage abruptly at the end. Jojo didn't do too much singing or performing, they had many "hype men" on the stage filling in for him. He seemed to be zoned out but KC was his usually hype self and made up for it. Total was missing Keisha I believe, but never said why..so it wasn't a complete concert but again, overall it was fun (maybe it was just me). Tickets could be a little cheaper...

HORRIBLE concert! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! The reviews have been consistently poor! Again Guy didn't show up and again 112 was two hours late. 112 seemed as if they barely cared about their performance. They only performed a few songs then left. K-Ci and JoJo didn't even finish their set. They kept hyping up the audience for a last song, and when the audience didn't applaud due to the terrible show they simply ended the show and left. They didn't even have the decency to say bye to the audience.

Da Best of the 90's LADIES NIGHT OUT TOUR PART II

by slimg on 9/23/14DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

TOTAL was not totally there. Pam showed up and showed OUT! She was a one woman show! Kima just showed up. Keisha didn't show. *The breaks in between acts was RIDICULOUSLY LONG and the fans knew there was something going on. The DJ's that stalled us did a good job entertaining us though, hula hoops and all. Damian Hall (from Guy) comes out alone. Announces that his brother found out he had a stroke on Dec 31st. He also says his symptoms returned TODAY and he wont be here! He sang part of ONE song, then left the stage. Wow! The headliner didn't even show up! There was another RIDICULOUSLY LONG intermission,.... Then,... 112 was announced. Fans cheering with their camera phones ready,... then nothing. We waited about 5 mins then they announced 112 again,... they appeared after cheering/waiting for a few more minutes. They put on a good show! They all sounded good, despite the horrible sound system at DAR. Their costume designer needs to be fired. Ain't no reason strings and missing studs should have been missing on those outfits for a show they knew they were coming on. Next time wear nothing. ;) No really, wear nothing. ;) There was another looooooooooooong intermission, ... THEN,... KC & Jojo - OMG! That darn KC is a NUT! Although he looked like he was tweekin' he put on a great show! Jojo stayed in the back and just blended in with the mic stands and curtains. In the middle of the sixth (or so) song the power went off! The lights came on and just like that it was over. KC & Jojo tried to get the audience to chant for two more songs but DAR was not having it. The time limit for the venue was up. Talk about some pissed off ladies?!!! OMG. SOMEBODY knew that GUY was not going to be there earlier than when they told us. That time could've been used by the other acts to give me my $80+ dollars worth! Great Birthday,.... I hate that I couldn't see more of KC acting up, but ticket master really should do something to at least partially refund our money. This was NOT the fault of the fans. I should've known something was fishy when less than half the hall was filled! Furthermore,.... I've never EVER been kicked out of a venue,... An announcement was made to exit the building. Folks just couldn't believe the show was over and had ended that way. I guess there's a first time for everything, and it will be the last. I had fun as I always do at any event but wouldn't recommend it.Especially not for $80.

The opening act was good. Only 3 of the 4 artists showed up so I was disappointed. When last act finally came on at 11:05 pm, they only got through half of their performance before the location shut down for the night.

The main group did not show up. and that was ok due to illness, But the main thing was KC and JoJo. I was really looking forward to them and they sing one song and they song two more with Jodic and when there were about to do another one of their song it was cut and over ...this left a POOR taste for me ...NOT HAPPY at all ...Really wish we did not spend that can of money on to be let DOWN BIG !!!!! .I would not go see them again

A few problems, but overall an enjoyable show.

by Anonymous on 9/23/14DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

The concert overall was great and being in the front row really made it exciting. I am a fan of all the groups so I was expecting great things from all the artists. Total did an awesome job even though one of their members was missing. After they performed, there was a long wait for the next artists, and the DJ, who did an awesome job, had everyone up and dancing. Then Damien Hall from Guy came out to inform us that his brother Aaron wasn't feeling well and then he sung one of their songs and that was it. When 112 came to the stage it was perfection. They clearly were the best and gave a great show. Lastly, K-Ci and JoJo performed and I must say that I really enjoyed them even though JoJo was in another world, but K-Ci definitely brought it. They also had a lot of other people on stage that sung or was just there, and that kind of took away from K-Ci and JoJo who were the key artists. Unfortunately, the ending wasn't good. Because of all the lag time that had taken place earlier in the night, the show abruptly ended when Constitution Hall because of a set time to conclude, had the house lights come on and turned the sound off. Without warning or explanation, the show just ended and K-Ci and JoJo just walked off the stage, and then the audience looking puzzled just left. Again, a great show, but with some problems.

by Famu1 on 9/23/14DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

Guy didn't show. And to make it worse they brought out Aaron Hall's brother who no one cared about or knew. Also they Cut KC and Joe Joe off before they were done.
