  • Most amazing night ever

    by Vanilla2017 on 10/4/17Jefferson Theatre - BeaumontRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Blue October in The Woodlands over the summer, which was my first time seeing them live, and they were amazing. I have been following Blue October and Justin on social media for awhile and I just think he is awesome in sharing his story of recovery with others. He is inspiring #peoplecanchange. But, seeing Justin in this very intimate setting at the Jefferson Theatre in Beaumont was something I will never forget. He told his story from the time he was 16 to the present with acoustic versions of his songs mixed in between. He is definitely a great story teller. The show was 3 hours! 3 hours!!!! And you never would have know it. I could have sat there another 3 hours just listening to what he had to say not to mention his beautiful voice when he sings. AMAZING sums it up. I signed up for the meet and greet before the show so I got to meet Justin and got his autograph and a picture with him to seal the night.

  • Loved it!!! Wow

The show was so amazing and the Jefferson theatre was so intimate that it felt like I was the only one in the room. Acoustics and sound quality were incredible! Hell of a show

Justin's stories are heartfelt and can bring tears to your eyes, some of sadness and some of joy. Constantly entertaining.

  • AMAZING!

by Nubbies on 10/3/17Jefferson Theatre - BeaumontRating: 5 out of 5

This man's story inspired me to get my husband to stop making the same excuses about his use and lies. It moved me tremendously! Thank you Justin for the strength!

  • Touching, Intimate & Hilarious

    by Phoe777 on 10/3/17Jefferson Theatre - BeaumontRating: 5 out of 5

I was instantly hooked! First off, Justin looks as amazing as his vocals sound. He came off as very real and relatable. His story pulled at my heartstrings, yet he owned up and failed to play the victim card, which I absolutely respect. The show and personal engagement was worth 3xs the amount paid. I have a newfound love and admiration for him.

  • Incredible show!

Justin was absolute perfection. His raw honesty and soul are shown more and more with each performance. This was my second time to see his Open Book tour. I would watch it over and over again if I could.

  • Justin's Open Book kicks ass!!!

    by IBleedBlue2 on 3/25/17Gramercy Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

If you're looking for an up close intimate evening with Justin from Blue October The Open Book tour will blow you away. I treated myself to meet and greet tickets for the show and meeting Justin was the highlight of the night (and maybe my life)!! The high lasted for weeks and weeks after this show!

  • The Truth

by Tomaceo on 1/23/17Duck Room - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Justin's music is on another level, the experience i had at the open book tour was like nothing i ever experienced. It was just me and my buddy, he had never heard of Justin and I told him trust me lets go to the Duck room in Saint Louis and watch this. After leaving he looked and me and thanked me and said that was eye opening and life changing. I couldn't agree more. Was truly the best show I have ever been to and next time i go i'm bringing everyone i know to experience this man.

  • Justin is amazing!

by Westfall on 2/21/16House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I went. It was a very small room which made it much better. The sound was fantastic. I really liked that the venue was real clear with the rules. They threw people out that were being loud and disturbing everyone around them. Justin told the stories behind many of his songs. I would highly recommend this to true fans of Blue October. If you are a causal radio fan you should probably skip it.

  • Justin was amazing!!!

The format of the open book shows is very intimate and personal. Justin tells stories, answers questions and plays several acoustic songs for 2 hours. Tori Vasquez opened for Justin and played for about 30 minutes. I had heard one of her songs before but it was nice to experience some of her other songs in an semi-acoustic format. After the show Justin came out to the Merch booth and signed autographs and shook hands. He is very appreciative of his fans. If I get the opportunity again I would definitely see the show again. The only disappointing part was the HOB bouncers did not kick enough people out of the show for being loud and obnoxious. We had a very drunk guy in front of us that kept yelling out during the show and really took away from the experience.

  • Most amazingly touching concert.

by Heatheropen on 7/1/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I have never been to a concert before that made me cry! Justin has such passion and feeling when he sings that I actually had tears in my eyes. His story is so amazing and when he sings he makes you feel the emotions! This was my very favorite concert ever! My husband and even got a hug from Justin after the show!

  • 5 PLUS stars!!

All that I can say is that this performance was absolutely phenomenal! I've been a fan of Blue October for years but watching and listening to Justin tell his stories and play with just an acoustic guitar, and in a small venue, was amazing!

  • Furstenfeld is a must see!

by Justamp on 6/30/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I must admit, we went because my husband was a big fan. I was in awe the entire time and completely blown away. The Storytellers style acoustic show was a unique show that I will never forget. Fan for life!

  • Justin great as always

Songs and the stories behind them. Justin's stories were hilarious. Great entertainment!

  • A must see for all Blue October fans

by MommiesNotRightStL on 6/30/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a HUGE Blue October fan since 2006 and their live performances get better with each tour. Justin's Open Book Tour is no exception. His voice is so much stronger and he seems more comfortable on stage and with fan interactions. The venues for this tour are smaller & much more intimate. Since this was the last date for this Open Book Tour he did mention he will be doing a similar tour later down the road. If you have the opportunity to see this show, it is well worth it.

  • Justin is amazing!!

The open book tour was amazing and very emotional. It is great to hear the stories behind his songs.

  • AMAZING! Justin Furstenfeld is like no other ;)

by triplehluvmomma on 6/26/1520th Century Theater - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

This was awesome. It was a small little area that made you feel like you were in a room with Justin having drinks. He explained some background to his songs and life and there was audience interaction and he did a signing afterwards and was able to talk to each and every person there. He truly is humble and a great many rock stars and/or bands could learn from him! Lets get him on the radio to take over the USA guys!

  • Loved the show

by nowfan on 6/26/1520th Century Theater - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Was my first time seeing Justin Furstenfeld, And it was a great show. He just takes you on the journey from him being in a high school band through the peaks and valleys of his career in stories and songs. Now will have to go see him with Blue October for a show !!!

  • An Amazing Night With Justin Furstenfeld.

by MelissaIsMissy on 6/24/15The Sinclair - CambridgeRating: 5 out of 5

The night was great, such an intimate show, personal stories that just make you feel even closer to one of your favorite artists, the acoustic songs were an added plus. I absolutely loved everything about Justin Furstenfeld's An Open Book Tour, and to top off an amazing night there was a nice little signing at the merch booth by Justin Furstenfeld and Ashley Stone after the show. Having my favorite artist tell me that my hair color is bad ass has assured that I keep this color for awhile. Lol. I'm so glad to have captured some videos and photos so I can always remember this night, it's definitely the best night of my 2015 summer.

  • Justin Furstenfeld - a personal experience

During the Open Book performance, the audience gets up close and personal with Justin. He gives you an insider's view of his career and the inspiration behind his music. He is funny, real and honest. What an amazing show!
