    Intimate and revealing

by Lizzybeth24 on 5/20/1320th Century Theater - Cincinnati

Justin Furstenfeld was an amazingly open, honest, and stripped down artist who connected on very real levels with his audience and fans. His voice was impeccable, and he was everything I wished all my favorite artists could be - authentic.

    Justen Furstenfeld was entertaining.

by racell55 on 5/16/1320th Century Theater - Cincinnati

I would recommend this concert to a number of my friends but I don't believe everyone would enjoy it as much as I did. Justen did a great job with the audience. I really enjoyed the rapport he established with the crowd. His singing is amazing and his songs are moving. I am looking forward to hearing him with the band, Blue October, in the future.

It's GREAT to have Justin back!!

by MelissaKD on 5/16/13Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

Justin was awesome, but the ATL crowd, was the worst I have ever experienced! I would love to see the show again, in a different city.

    Deeply Moving

by JustElizabeth on 5/16/13Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

By far the deepest, most emotionally moving concert event I've ever been to! The intimate setting was fabulous; the crisp clarity of Justin's voice, with all its raw emotion was awe-inspiring, and the story he told, the story of his life, with all its ups and downs and honest answers to fan questions made this night one of the most memorable moments of my life. Best of all, hearing the story of Justin's journey to sobriety and spiritual transformation had me in tears more than once during this show!

    Depressing

by tchambers71 on 5/16/13Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

The show was OK, but he takes many great songs and slows them down to half speed and is just laying them on an acoustic guitar. The result is a poor reflection of the real songs. The commentary he gives between each song is interesting but it really shows how self centered and over emotional most artists are. Worst of all was the crowd. Several "fans" felt the need to shout out answers or comments while Justin was trying to talk. Very annoying. So bad that the rest of the audience was telling them to shut up. Especially bad was this fat loser behind us named Theresa.

    Just.... WOW.

by Anonymous on 5/15/1320th Century Theater - Cincinnati

This concert was nothing short of amazing. Being just an acoustic evening it allowed Justin to really connect with the audience on a personal level. He even read a few pages from his book and gave you a little insight into his thoughts as he wrote some of the songs Blue October fans know and love. And, lets face it, Justin gave an experience worthy of Justin. If you're a fan, I wouldn't miss this one for the world.

    Blue October = Underrated!

by vvovakes on 5/8/13Theatre of Living Arts - Philadelphia

Blue October has to be one of the most underrated bands in the business! That is largely due to their frontman- Justin Furstenfeld. Justin is a brilliant song writer. The words he chooses and how he uses them- blows me away. My fist will always be in the air for him and Blue October. This show was an intimate look into a few of their songs and was coupled with entertaining stories that expained them a little bit. He also read from his book Crazy Making- which I'm glad I got a few years ago and became familiar with. Justin is amusing and heartfelt. I am a fan.

    Justin Was Incredible!

by FredVasquez on 5/6/13Theatre of Living Arts - Philadelphia

Being able to listen to a great songwriter speak about how songs came about is ALWAYS a treat - and this was all the show was, just an insight to his mind and soul. Not every artist can do this, but for Justin it was natural. The stories were great and inspiring and the song were even better with single guitar and his voice. If you have a chance, go!

    Justin Furstenfeld was amazing

    by MTC1987 on 5/4/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

I have gone to 4 Blue October concerts and they have all been amazing. This event was different than any of the other concerts, because of the intimate setting and it only being Justin on stage, the audience was let into Justin world. The audience was quiet and felt all that was happening as Justin talked about it. Any fan would appreciate this experience and love the evening learning about the origin of some songs and life of Justin during that time. Justin love his fans and treat this experience like he is speaking to his friends and always makes sure his fans know what they mean to him.

Justin came across as a very real person, very humble. My wife and I enjoyed it tremendously. We were able to talk to him briefly after the show and get an autograph. We hope to see him again.

I knew a little about what to expect, and was so happy I was right. I cried, I laughed, I sang at the top of my lungs. It was the best concert i've been to in years.

    Still awestruck

by Kewlhippiechick on 4/10/13Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

I've been trying to think of what to write about my evening with Justin Furstenfeld for the last few days since the concert. I've tried to explain to my friends how deeply moving this experience was, how personal it was...but no matter how hard I try, labeling it escapes me. Justin is a very down to earth man. He doesn't try to hide the struggles that he's experienced in his life, so he tells his stories through his music. As someone who also suffers from a mental illness, his words speak to me in a very profound way. His many and varied struggles, his blessed and private moments...his life, is presented in such a way that you can't help but admire him. His life has helped me make sense of my own. Go to this concert, if you miss it go to a Blue October gathering. You won't be disappointed and you'll leave the venue speechless as I did.
