I've been trying to think of what to write about my evening with Justin Furstenfeld for the last few days since the concert. I've tried to explain to my friends how deeply moving this experience was, how personal it was...but no matter how hard I try, labeling it escapes me.
Justin is a very down to earth man. He doesn't try to hide the struggles that he's experienced in his life, so he tells his stories through his music. As someone who also suffers from a mental illness, his words speak to me in a very profound way. His many and varied struggles, his blessed and private moments...his life, is presented in such a way that you can't help but admire him. His life has helped me make sense of my own.
Go to this concert, if you miss it go to a Blue October gathering. You won't be disappointed and you'll leave the venue speechless as I did.
