  • Incredible performance

by dalilama on 4/2/25Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

The theater-like setup for his solo show was a breath of fresh air. He was wordy at times but his voice and song choices to match his story telling was amazing! His solo act highlights his powerful voice that gets hidden by his full band.

  • Fantastic show in a great venue

by CjoyceNH on 4/2/25Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing Justin perform a more intimate show in a small theater was absolutely amazing. Everyone was able to connect to him and each other and seeing the waves crashing through the windows was just the icing on the cake.

  • Unique Emotional show

by Aris K on 4/2/25Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

You could hear a pin drop when Justin was speaking. Of course they had pre-show warnings about talking, no cameras, no videos, or even getting up during the show. His singing was amazing. He has such a powerful voice. His lyrics are wonderful. His stories of his daughter and his father were very touching. Many tears in the audience. His admission of his abuses was very honest. Overall, it was great show to see for big fans of Blue October like myself and my daughter.

Most beautiful Justin performance yet! And every show I have ever been to doesn’t disappoint! Going on Justin’s journey with him through music, poetry & storytelling is a magic gif & privilege ! He helps me reflect on aspects of my beingness and I’m so grateful for that. He has a way of communicating about mental health and living our best lives in an authentic connecting way. Love you Justin! Grateful for all that you are and be!!

This is my second time seeing him. He doesn't disappoint. He's a great singer and story teller. You can feel all of his emotions. And I love that he signs autographs afterwards.

  • Very Impressive performance ,

by Jerry on 3/31/25Bardavon 1869 Opera House - PoughkeepsieRating: 5 out of 5

Very entertaining evening, theatrical, humorous but most impressive was that the performance was musically profound, The personal stories shaping the lyrics were only outdone by Justin’s powerful voice . The acoustics were clean and his voice was clear and far ranging!!!!!

  • Great show with Justin Furstenfeld

Justin Furstenfeld - An Open Book: I Laugh At Myself: What an amazing night!! Justin's stories had the audience laughing and crying. Justin has so much emotion with each story told.

  • Great Show

I loved the show. Loved people not having phones out the whole time. Did not like they allowed children in even though it said 16+.

  • Enjoyed first sound check prior to show

by Lucy on 3/26/25Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the sound check prior to show. First one attended of the many concerts we have seen following Blue October. Justin lays it out honest and straightforward no sugarcoating his story. He is relatable so many and he truly hopes people become happy and lookout for themselves first. You can not share happiness if you have none yo share. Life god gives it one day at a time and for so many like Justin it’s just how you need to take it. The music tells a story of the heart that needs and is willing to give if the respect is there both ways.

  • best intimate experience ever

  • An evening with Justin

by Katie T on 3/26/25Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen blue October a few times and always marveled at the showmanship of the singer, but Justin has blown me away playing songs not heard normally on tours and sharing very personal stories. I recommend going and I will be going back.

  • If you're a Blue October fan . . .

by jdhertz on 3/26/25Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show! I think you really need to be a Blue October fan to begin with, but if you are, this is a great show, interesting, and good music. If you're not already a fan, then get familiar with their music so you can see and love this show too!

  • Incredible Show

by Cooterdamus on 3/26/25Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Justin's "Open Book"show a number of time. The "I laugh at Myself"show takes Open Book and takes it up a notch (or three!). The entire show was mesmerizing, Justin's singing voice was incredible; and his stories were heartfelt. The production was awesome. The Flagstar Strand Theater, to which I have never been, was also beyond my expectations--it is s lovely space.

  • Great Show!

Justin is an excellent musician and story teller. This show is a must see.

  • Moving performance

by Vanek on 12/18/24Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing one man show… from his stories behind the songs to his ups and downs in emotions have you laughing and then crying. Along with his powerful vocals it was an amazing experience.

  • Well run production!

by Ronnie Lee on 12/16/24Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

The staff at the Aztec Theater are very organized! They show began promptly and staff were present and very observent. When a medical emergency happened with an attendee, the show was stopped while the incident was resolved and promptly began when everything was safe. Mr. Furstenfeld was entertaining, funny, very talented, and gracious. It was a great experience in a historic theater!

  • A night with Justin

by Vanessa on 12/15/24Jefferson Theatre - BeaumontRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing, you get the chance to see the other side of him which is rare with most artists. Unfortunately we didn’t get the email with the information to the meet & greet that we purchased. The crew is making it right for us. We got to see Justin after the show and he gracefully apologized and took a picture with us and spoke for a minute. He’s an amazing person who’s come a long way. We can’t wait to see him at Buzzfest.

  • Amazing!!!!

by HV on 11/5/24Swyer Theatre at The Egg - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

Intimate setting filled with laughter, tears and excellent music! The fact that one man can make an entire room of adults cry through storytelling and his music is so powerful! Justin is ridiculously talented!
