2.5 hours of nonstop entertainment by Justin. Every moment was gripping. It was a long time to sit in hard plastic chairs though. I would definitely go again

    Justin is amazing!

by Mike311 on 2/5/18Cedar Cultural Center - Minneapolis

So charismatic, such a natural story teller, plays acoustic guitar beautifully and has one of the strongest, most unique singing voices out there. Really enjoyed him opening himself up like he does and layering it with such great, meaningful songs, will never miss him or his band when they come to town.

Justin Furstenfeld was amazing as usual!

by Deven4 on 1/30/18Port City Music Hall - Portland

Justin Furstenfeld put on an amazing show! I have followed Blue October for 15 years, so to be able to be there and hear Justin tell his "story" and journey through words and music, was incredible! You could feel his emotions as he was sharing with us. I have never gotten emotional at a show as I did at this one. He was sure to put humor in it as well, which brought out lots of laughter from the crowd. He sounded amazing and the setting venue helped carry his voice so we all could hear. We could only find seats near the back, and even though we couldn't really see him, we could still hear him...even when he wasn't at the microphone. The hard metal chairs made it difficult to be comfortable and three days later, my back is still hurting from them but Justin made it all worth it.

    Most amazing night ever

    by Vanilla2017 on 10/4/17Jefferson Theatre - Beaumont

I saw Blue October in The Woodlands over the summer, which was my first time seeing them live, and they were amazing. I have been following Blue October and Justin on social media for awhile and I just think he is awesome in sharing his story of recovery with others. He is inspiring #peoplecanchange. But, seeing Justin in this very intimate setting at the Jefferson Theatre in Beaumont was something I will never forget. He told his story from the time he was 16 to the present with acoustic versions of his songs mixed in between. He is definitely a great story teller. The show was 3 hours! 3 hours!!!! And you never would have know it. I could have sat there another 3 hours just listening to what he had to say not to mention his beautiful voice when he sings. AMAZING sums it up. I signed up for the meet and greet before the show so I got to meet Justin and got his autograph and a picture with him to seal the night.

This man's story inspired me to get my husband to stop making the same excuses about his use and lies. It moved me tremendously! Thank you Justin for the strength!

    Touching, Intimate & Hilarious

    by Phoe777 on 10/3/17Jefferson Theatre - Beaumont

I was instantly hooked! First off, Justin looks as amazing as his vocals sound. He came off as very real and relatable. His story pulled at my heartstrings, yet he owned up and failed to play the victim card, which I absolutely respect. The show and personal engagement was worth 3xs the amount paid. I have a newfound love and admiration for him.

Justin was absolute perfection. His raw honesty and soul are shown more and more with each performance. This was my second time to see his Open Book tour. I would watch it over and over again if I could.

If you're looking for an up close intimate evening with Justin from Blue October The Open Book tour will blow you away. The Truth

by Tomaceo on 1/23/17Duck Room - Saint Louis

Justin's music is on another level, the experience i had at the open book tour was like nothing i ever experienced. It was just me and my buddy, he had never heard of Justin and I told him trust me lets go to the Duck room in Saint Louis and watch this. After leaving he looked and me and thanked me and said that was eye opening and life changing. I couldn't agree more. Was truly the best show I have ever been to and next time i go i'm bringing everyone i know to experience this man.

    Justin is amazing!

by Westfall on 2/21/16House of Blues Houston - Houston

My wife and I went. It was a very small room which made it much better. The sound was fantastic. I really liked that the venue was real clear with the rules. They threw people out that were being loud and disturbing everyone around them. Justin told the stories behind many of his songs. I would highly recommend this to true fans of Blue October. If you are a causal radio fan you should probably skip it.

    Justin was amazing!!!

by MikeTX87 on 2/21/16House of Blues Houston - Houston

The format of the open book shows is very intimate and personal. Justin tells stories, answers questions and plays several acoustic songs for 2 hours. Tori Vasquez opened for Justin and played for about 30 minutes. I had heard one of her songs before but it was nice to experience some of her other songs in an semi-acoustic format. After the show Justin came out to the Merch booth and signed autographs and shook hands. He is very appreciative of his fans. If I get the opportunity again I would definitely see the show again. The only disappointing part was the HOB bouncers did not kick enough people out of the show for being loud and obnoxious. We had a very drunk guy in front of us that kept yelling out during the show and really took away from the experience.
