    TU Jurassic World

by Billymc on 10/15/19Times Union Center - Albany

For kids started out a little slow before intermission. Laying down story background doesn’t interest the target audience of kids. Second half more action and more dinosaurs appeased the kids. Need more dinosaurs especially since kids love T-Rex.

    Boys were disinterested

by Dorinda on 10/15/19Times Union Center - Albany

My husband took my son and nephew, both 4 years old. The whole first half was VERY slow. Only one dinosaur was on stage and it was a lot of talking. The boys got bored very quickly! In the second half, more dinosaurs came out and a couple explosions got their attention but still wasn't enough. Still a lot of talking and romance between the man and woman. What child cares about that??

    Whole family loved it

by Dinomom on 10/15/19Times Union Center - Albany

The show was amazing! Our 5 year old was entranced and we loved watching both him and the show. The merchandise was a little over priced even for an event ($30 for a kids tee?!), but otherwise no complaints!

    Dinosaur fascination

by NatalieV on 10/15/19Times Union Center - Albany

Brought my 2 year 4 month grandson to the show. Was concerned at first that he wouldn’t be able to sit still or pay attention thru the entire program!! I was so wrong!!! He was mesmerized!! Not just by the dinosaurs but by the action scenes of the actors, the motorcycle the security forces. He really didn’t move and watched the program... Amazing!! I enjoyed it as well!!

Very cheesy. Thought it would be like walking with dinosaur

by Rlh on 10/15/19Times Union Center - Albany

Very cheesy- only a couple dinosaurs and they looked so fake. It was a badly acted play with a couple of dinosaurs that looked fake. We went because we thought it was more like walking with dinosaurs which was a much better production. Don’t waste your money on this one! Terrible!

    Boring

by Eddy James on 10/14/19Times Union Center - Albany

Well this was definitely aimed for young children. There was way too much boring dialogue & not enough Dinosaurs. The acting was so terrible but the dinos were beautiful, but not alot of variety & there could have been way more action. The disastrous attempts for comic relief made me hate life. Good job with the dinos horrible job with everything else

    Brilliant

    by G. P. on 10/14/19

Everyone whom dislikes the show because of the 'human legs' under the dinosaurs (which BTW are cloaked in black) or the robotic attachments to the larger dinosaurs need to realize what the show is. Where else are you going to see dinasours come to life? There really is no way to do this show without having to done it how they did it. Outside of full robotictry, which would have been difficult, you almost need the 'human element.' Creators may ask, how do they limit the sight of the under bellies of the dinasours? More ground fog - fill up the ground, use dry ice if needed! I honestly could do without the story line but the performance was great. Considering the timeline of these events were to happen between Jurassic World and Jurassic World 2, I believe it should have started with 'assets out of confinement.' Did not need the love story either. This was a brilliant adaptation of Jurassic World. The 'up close' action of sitting on the floor was well worth it. It was actually freighting to suddenly have a Raptor in my face. However, it was equally settling to see how everything was presented. Unfortunately, during my show, the T-rex broke down during an intense battle. That did put a stop to the action briefly. However, all the actors brilliantly came back and did not miss a beat. A fan of Jurassic Park/World series from the beginning, I may need to see this again. I do wish there were more dinosaurs in the show however.

    by j. t.jeannie on 10/13/19Times Union Center - Albany

my 5 year old loved it, it was also entertaining for the adults. Fortunately he did not see the characters legs, wish there was a way to mask them more. But overall a great time and worth the cost.

    My kids loved it!

    by V. F. on 10/13/19Times Union Center - Albany

My kids loved it (18 months, 6 years, 9 years)! Thats the important thing. Youre going foe your kids. My husband and I personally thought it was a little boring. The main dino is a troodon. There are raptors too. A stegosaurus and triceratops make appearances, as does the head of an indominus rex. The t-rex is there for a little too. I wouldve liked to see the other dinosaurs more tho. There was a storyline but it was revolved too much around about people, not dinosaurs. While they mentioned thw people from Jurassic World, they were not the cast of the show. The actors were amazing, especially some of the stunts they did! They were a little "spiderman corny" (its made for kids tho). The show takes place during the first and second Jurassic Worlds. While the dinosaurs look pretty real from the seats, you can see peoples legs underneath them, and the bigger dinosaurs like the t-rex are on things that look similar to parade floats. I told my kids that those were there to hold the dinosaurs legs so they couldnt run too fast and get loose (and they believed me, so did the kids in front of us who were listening in on our conversation). They said there were strobe lights but it was only like a second at the beginning when they were playing the opening music, and the toys that the guys walk around trying to sell during the show (I have epilepsy). I saw it on a Thursday in the Albany center (the first showing in albany) and there wasnt a bad seat. It wasnt too crowded but it was busy. The seats were so close to each other and there is no leg room whatsoever. I recommend watching the seats and buying them as late as possible because we spent over $30/seat and we saw later that every open seat went for $15. If i knew what I know now about the show I wouldnt have bought the tickets because I wouldve thought it was too cheesy for my kids. Im glad I didnt know though because my kids wouldve missed out. They had a really fun time and it made the tight seats, extra money and boring storyline worth it. I wasnt really watching the show as much as I was watching their faces anyway. (The look of amazement in kids faces that comes from ideas like dinosaurs and magic doesnt last forever. Before you know it they stop believing).
