Judas Priest on Tour

British heavy metal powerhouse Judas Priest has released 22 albums over four decades. They laid much of the groundwork for the heavy music of the 80s with their two guitar attack of revved up blues-based riffs They continue to tour, treating metal fans to extravagant live shows and spirited renditions of their unmistakable anthems. Ticket holders are sure to get to a concert early because they don't want to miss Singer Rob Halford's stage entrance. He emerges from a cloud of fog riding on a Harley Davidson, clad head to toe in leather-studded S&M gear. The band released a live DVD of their Epitaph World Tour in May 2013, which well received and features 23 tracks covering most eras of the bands storied career.

Judas Priest in Concert

The group formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England and released their first album in 1974 entitled Rocka Rolla. This was soon to be followed by Sad Wings of Destiny in 1976, which gained the group a wider audience in the UK. The group's next three albums: Sin After Sin, Stained Class and Hell Bent for Leather were released in 1977, 1978 and 1979 respectively, and showed a band evolving its sound into shorter songs that still retained a heavy metal punch. Next came the album British Steel in 1980, which featured "Living After Midnight", "Breaking the Law" and "United" — all earning regular radio play. Point of Entry was released in 1981, followed by Screaming For Vengeance in 1984, which went double platinum. The 2008 concept album Nostradamus found them pushing boundaries by challenging their listeners to consider how "metal" the man of prophetic talents actually was. Over the next four years the band toured relentlessly and they show no signs of letting up, with an impressive schedule of tour dates on the books for 2014.

Judas Priest / Whitesnake / PopEvil

    by Jbeasley53 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

I have been waiting to see Judas Priest since the 80's and for some reason it never worked out. When they split I told myself I would go see them if and when they got back together. Well here they are back together and I had tickets the day they went on sale! It was an amazing show playing all of the British Steel, hearing all the old music I grew up on. Their stage presents was amazing it was like they hadn't missed a beat. Rob Halford's voice was as incredible as any album they have ever produced and the boys in the band did not disappoint either. The music was loud and you felt it in your chest pounding the beat of years of Priest Metal! I hope to go see them again! One of the Best Concerts I have ever seen!

Judas Priest were awesome in concert. They still rock after all these years. These younger bands have nothing on them. They show everyone how the big boys do it.

    Priest rocked

by Horndog on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

The show was an excellent venue. The three bands put on a great show. Popevil is a great up and coming band whom I hope to see more shows. The only downside to the first two acts seemed to be the mixing of sound to me. I thought the bass line was a little to overbearing. Judas Priest was excellent. The only flaw with them was that they only played an hour and a half. That is the shortest main headlining band play time I have ever been to see. I was informed that it is due to a local township law that makes the shows stop at 11 pm. To me that is completely insane. Overall, though as I said before, Judas Priest, Whitesnake and Popevil was a fantastic show.

    awesome show bad seats

by metalmcdougal on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

the show was amazing. my seats were, however, like many others, positioned in front of the bass amps. They should be placed elsewhere rather than being 5 feet from you seat. Dont get me wrong........i dont mind noise....i wouldnt go to a priest show if i did. but i do expect to hear the show clearly when i pay the amount of money that i did.

    Judas Priest/Whitesnake

by piecesgirl on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

One of the best shows I have seen in Cincinnati in quite awhile. I rank this concert in the top with Nickleback and Red Hot Chili Pepppers. We met several members of Pop Evill. They are all very nice and down to earth.

    Judas Priest still rocks!

    by concertfan74 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

The show was awesome. The boys can still rock it and they all look really good. It is kind of like seeing old friends that you have not seen in a long time. British Steele is not my favorite album but I did't care. I love this band and would go see them play bluegrass music. This was my first show at PNC Pavillion, and it is also a great venue.

    ROCKIN!

by PureHagar on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

What a great night of rock n roll. Coverdale may not be on his game vocally at times, but he is still an amazing talent, along with Doug and Reb on guitars, Whitesnake absolutely rocked the house!!!! Priest is always king. Halford and the boyz were spot on and kicked my butt from start to finish. Well worth the 8 hour drive from NC...on to Nashville for tonights show!!! It's only rock n roll but i like it, no LOVE IT! -Mare

    Priest, Whitesnake, Pop Evil

by Wickedrocker on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Well, I can't hear out of my right ear this morning but it was soooooooo worth it! Judas Priest of course was great but Whitesnake was absolutely FANTASTIC. Just the fact that Reb Beach was playing with them made it a thousand times better. Those boys can still ROCK! Pop Evil was super entertaining and I even bought a CD. PNC Pavilion is the perfect venue! Love it, Love it, Love it!

    Priest's Rock has gathered Moss

    by huntman323 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

If you are a new fan of Judas Priest and this was your first show, you would of thought it was great. Having seen Priest several times in their prime, the concert was somewhat dissapointing. Granted the band has united 30 years after "their day", it was obvious that time has taken its toll. Their physical energy level was certainly not the same. This was especially true for Halford and Tipton.

    Priest and Whitesnake are lengendary!

by WastedGeneration on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Two bands rooted from England... Let's just say that they really know how to grow great lasting acts in the UK! Judas Priest; legends for over 30 years! Whitesnake/David Coverdale; legendary way back from Deep Purple days in the 1960's! So, here they were together, wow! They both took advantage of the anniversary of classic albums which was very cool. The light show was great as well was the sound! If you have ever even slightly liked hard rock/heavy Metal from the 70's-80's you need to buy tickets and go see this tour. For me I was taken back to the days when all I cared about was this music, I am glad I went to this show to see two great legends still in action.

Judas Priest brought it hard and heavy

by Buzzbait on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

What's to say other than this was an old school Priest concert. Songs like The Ripper, Grinder & United We Stand were great deep cuts to hear live as well the usual hits (You Got Another Thing Coming). It's hard to believe but Halford and the rest of the band haven't missed a bit as they've aged. The sound mix was loud but very clean. Any one who is an fan of 70s or 80s rock that didn't go really missed out. Whitesnake opened delivered a great set mostly of thier hits.
